I have watched this salon take a nosedive over the past year. The owner of this shop is a nut case. When she found out that my husband works for the federal government, she went off on a tangent of government "conspiracies" and made the entire appointment uncomfortable for us. She has also has shared her view on how people who are in prison for more than 7 years should automatically be put to death. This is not the type of thing you talk about in a professional environment if you do not wish to lose clientele. She also called to confirm an appointment for my teenage son and when I answered the phone, she insisted on knowing why some "strange lady" keeps answering. HELLO LADY! IM HIS MOTHER! Her favorite topic of conversation is partying and drinking. I question her mental stability. The worst part of all of this: she wasnt even my stylist there. She is having these conversations with other stylists clients. The turn over rate of stylists and receptionists is ridiculous. Every time I walked in there I never knew who (besides my own stylist) would be there. If you cant keep your staff for more than a few months, you are doing something wrong. Now that her top stylist, Steven, is no longer employed there, I see absolutely no reason to set foot in that salon again. I was lucky enough to find out where he is now, and happily followed him there.

Amazing Service! I just went there for the first time last night and probably had the greatest hair cut of my life. Immediately when you walk in the ambiance is fantastic. The staff is extremely friendly, modern decor, and I was immediately offered a beverage. I had called ahead and made an appointment with Steven, who greated me shortly after I walked in the door. Within a few minutes I was in a chair, chit chatting away about what haircut/style I desired. Steven listened intently, offered a few suggestions when asked and within minutes we were confidently on our way. Steven took his time, was very confident in what he was doing, very knowledgable about other hairstyles I was considering trying in the near future and was all togerther absolutely WONDERFUL! Not only did I get a great, professional haircut for a very reasonable price, the entire experience was relaxing and exactly what getting your hair done should be. I cannot recommend Steven enough, he did an amazing job and I will be returning again soon. The salon also offers other services such as massages, facials and waxing. I will be sure to check them out soon as well.

I have been a customer of Char Rooney for probably 20 years or more. She does a great job with my hair, recommending products and offering suggestions on things I can do. She is funny and makes the experience fun. Her prices are reasonable. The team of people at Hair Professionals are all very welcoming, offering you a beverage when you first arrive. The other stylists are similarly very good with their customers. Theres a good karma about the place. Oh - and Shelley is the most incredible massage therapist - I highly recommend everyone spend time with her! The hot stone massage is particularly relaxing. And, Char has done a great job creating a physical environment at Hair Professionals that is warm and welcoming. You cant go wrong checking out Hair Professionals.

I honestly cannot recommend another hair salon above Hair Professionals. Char Rooney (the owner of Hair Professionals) has been doing my hair for almost 23 years. The cuts always grow out well and look good either styled or wash/dry (she is always trying to get me to blow dry daily, but she knows Ill fall off the wagon eventually and cuts it so it looks great either way). I love this place so much I used to drive down to Maplewood from Big Lake just for a haircut. Char and Crystal also did the hair and makeup for my bridal party. Just last week I got a compliment on a haircut that Char gave me in April. It is now July and the cut STILL looks great even though it has grown out.

Katherine at Hair Professionals is the only stylist to have ever touched my hair and I wouldnt have it any other way. My salon experience is great from beginning to end. I am greeted with a smile as I walk in and offered a beverage if I am waiting, The salon atmosphere is always very welcoming and I enjoy watching the stylists praise one another on a finished product or a great idea. I learn something new every time I am at Hair Professionals and have built a great relationship with my stylist as well as others! It always feels like Im hanging out with girlfriends and never like a guilty indulgence. I highly recommend to every friend for any salon need!

Hair Professionals is by far the BEST salon I have ever been to. I have been getting my hair cut and colored by Lona for 8 years now, and I wont let anyone else touch my hair. People compliment me on a regular basis on how nice my hair looks, which I have to always respond with, "Thanks! I have the best hair stylist". Lona has also done a fantastic job doing my hair for weddings. All of the staff are extremely nice and welcoming, and always greet me when I arrive. The salon features many products as well, and the staff are very knowledgable about the products too. I strongly recommend giving Hair Professionals a try, you wont regret it!!! :)

I met Amanda (Mandy) at the bar through a friend, she gave me her business card. I went after procrastinating for awhile, Im picky and am always scared to go to a new stylist. (Ive had some bad experiences!) I have literally NEVER been so happy with a hairstylist before. Shes patient and really wants to make you happy. She is fairly priced, Im there for 4+ hours and only spend between $100-$140 before tip. All of the ladies at this salon are sweet and you can tell they really like their jobs. You get 20% off of your first time in the shop and I promise youll be back. I wish I could post pictures on here!

Amazing! Charlene did my hair and this was the first time Ive ever got it cut so short (all the way to my shoulders from hair that was past my breast!) so I was of course nervous but she did such a neat and beautiful job on my hair and I am so happy with it! Literally everything was perfect: the hair treatment, massaging of scalp, styling, cutting, ALL OF IT! She gave me many great hair product recommendations thatll help my scalp and I learned so much about ways to reduce the dryness of it! This is by far the best salon Ive ever been to!

I worked here for a short time. (Only left due to family obligations.) I just want to say, I found Char to be a very kind, thoughtful & sincere person, let alone boss. She has a big heart & trusts in others to be honest...which many of us know, can be a weakness with the kind of people who can take advantage. I enjoyed working there though & always will appreciate Chars flexibility. I got to see Char & Crystals skills & talent first hand & would definitely recommend them to any one. They will do whatever necessary to ensure happy clients.

I was a little worried going in to get my hair done since I was going blonde for the first time. But Mandy was amazing! She reassured me that it was a good choice so I did it! I couldnt be happier with my hair! Ive gotten so many compliments and everyone asks me where I got it done. The staff are super friendly and welcoming which is a huge plus. Also the pricing is great! I was expecting to pay a lot more than I did. Also if its your first time there you get a discount! Super awesome place and I cant wait to go back!
