The unfortunate problem when purchasing a home is that you never get to choose the seller agent you have to deal with. That said, I have to share my experience with Stacy Kelly of the Coon Rapids Kelly Williams office. If youre purchasing a home, dont use her as your agent. If youre selling your home, look elsewhere as she will treat your potential buyers like crap. If I had more time, I would have walked away from her shenanigans. I was a well qualified buyer looking for a home in September of 2012 and was ready to buy as quickly as possible due to my living situation. Stacy Kelly was one the biggest impediments to my home purchase during the whole process. When she came back with a response from the seller, fortunately she was very upfront regarding what concessions the seller could make. That was the only thing helpful about her. Then came the inspection. When it came to inspection time, we found significant issues with the furnace due to improper maintenance by the owner. These issues were very clear and unmistakable for anyone with any HVAC experience. After inspection I made a counteroffer to have the issue repaired. Instead, Stacy blamed our inspector for an unrelated furnace issue (my network has extensive positive experience with this inspector) and asked the inspector to pay for repair. This was very unprofessional, as I personally watched everything the inspector did and he did not cause any damage to the furnace. The furnace was rusty and moldy and was clearly in poor repair. We found another way to make the sale work despite the uncooperative attitude of Stacy. Unfortunately, Stacy went off the grid during the 48 hour renegotiation period after the inspection. Later she claimed that her cell phone wasn’t working, yet she never made an attempt to contact my agent by email. Any agent who cannot respond to phone calls or email is not worth it! My agent and I thought she was running out the clock, but instead she was negligent in her communications. When I finally moved into the home, her sign was up for 13 calendar days before it was removed. It wasn’t until I threated to cut up her sign and throw it away that it was removed. Even then, it took 2 more days for her to have the sign removed. Even worse, her sign company didn’t even fill in the hole in my yard from the sign. I had to goto Menards and buy dirt to fill it in myself. In short, don’t ever waste your time with Stacy Kelly if you can avoid it. She’s negligent in her communication and unreasonable in negotiation with respect to home issues. You probably can’t avoid her if you purchase a home, but definitely avoid her when you’re selling your home and save your prospective buyers the trouble.

So, Ive written a review on Google & it is gone. So Ill post again. I was in the room at the closing, I saw first hand all the ethical violations . Theyll try to bury this review or claim I wasnt a customer ...folks need to speak up and vote with the $ There are A LOT of real estate agents that do a great job! This agency allowed agent dual agency yet the agent was too busy moving, going to school and paying attention to the buyer at the expense of the seller. Example it took 5 months to close and even then the agent didnt even bring paperwork to closing. It took over a month for us to hear back on the house inspection "he the agent misplaced it" (have emails to document all of this!) The agent changed the contract just hours before closing telling us that it was to our advantage yet it wasnt. When asked owner of this agency --he said well, you signed it and wouldnt give back the extra $500 agency fees--because why? He didnt make enough money off the 4 transactions because of my friends sale of his home? The agent laughed with the buyer when he said I feel bad about you paying the closing (because he was broke--which he was far from broke but the agent gave his full allegiance to him because he was selling TWO of buyers homes.) Even flew home from his new home in another state saying he wanting to surprise THE BUYER --not to do any work for us! He didnt even step foot in the house my guy bought yet he got thousands of dollars for mucking up the deal. Owner of company is RUDE. The owner has forgotten who the customer is in his greed (imho) Even the other agent of the house we were buying got into yelling match with this agent & his wife! IF you are buying or selling Id stay away from this company. Share review

We had the most amazing experience with a realtor whom was the most diligent, motivated, pleasant agent we have ever had ! The pleasure of meeting and working with Jan Steffes, whom gave well over 100% effort to make buying a house. A house that had a lot of issue being a reversed mortgage-foreclosure-hud, endless hours with this !! Jan took the time and patient to learn more and work though issues with agents, title companies, city inspectors, she truly managed this 3 ring circus. What a true asset to Keller Williams !!!!!
