I have been a member of Golds Gym, Experience Fitness (when Golds changed), The YMCA, and now Lifetime all within the last 2 1/2 years. While it does cost a little more this is hands down the BEST gym in Woodbury. It is ALWAYS clean, the staff is ALWAYS friendly, I have 3 kids (2, 3, & 8) and they ask me almost every morning if we can go to the gym after daycare & school because they have an AMAZING child center with tablet centers, TONS of toys, a HUGE play place with trampolines and a slide in it, and an outdoor play area for when its nice out. They also have a kids gym with a glass wall and a short basketball hoop so you can play with your kids without worrying about them getting in other members way or getting hit by other peoples balls. The group classes are ALL included in the membership and unlike other gyms I have been to they are also at all times of the day! If you work regular hours 9-5ish, there are evening classes! Best part? At this gym the childcare is available during these classes! At Experience Fitness the childcare closed so early I wasnt able to go to an evening class unless I could find a babysitter (defeating the point of paying for their childcare). The instructors Ive had have all been great and motivating and love chatting with everyone after. The equipment on the gym floor is also excellent and they have more cardio machines and free weights than I have seen at any of the other gyms. YES there are peak hours but HELLO, that happens EVERYWHERE! If you can only come at the busiest time of the day you have to expect and accept that sometimes you may have to wait for a machine. I have had to do this multiple times but it never takes more that 8-10 minutes for a couple to open up. There are tons of weight & resistance machines to use in the same area while you are waiting...or stretch! I have been in customer service for over 10 years and people who get bad customer service are usually the chronic complainers who are rude and short with employees before they give them a chance to help. If you called me barking about something, I wouldnt want to call you back either! A lot of the employees are young and that is scary and intimidating. Im sure there have been some poor employees too but that happens everywhere and yes, give your 2 cents so management is made aware and can look into complaints but get over yourself, Im sure youve had bad days or been a bad employee at some point in your life too. They will handle it. Anyway, great gym, great employees (my family has never had an issue), great kids club, GREAT group classes. A + + + + +!

Bad management, horrible customer service. I was lied to at membership sign-up. Ken at Woodbury told me at sign-up that there was a $200.00 cancellation fee. After 6 months, the cancellation fee would be $50.00 less. After a month, I decided I no longer wanted the membership. I didnt cancel however because of the fee that I would incur. I went into the Coon Rapids gym to talk to Michelle to cancel despite the fee, and lo and behold discovered there is no cancellation fee, and I was lied to. She did however tell me that I wasnt the only one who had come in saying the same thing. There had been other people that had been lied to about the exact same thing. I then called a sales member at Woodbury looking for a simple apology, investigation that would include calling Michelle at Coon Rapids to inquire about the other complaints, and a call back. I never got a call back. This sales member informed me that Ken is one of their top sales people and a long time employee at LifeTime. I then called Shaun at Woodbury looking for the same thing. He said he would look into it and call back, but never did. Then about two weeks later I called Jennifer Longtine, their general manager and she insisted it must have been a miscommunication. She did not apologize for the inconvenience or money lost. She insisted that Ken is one of the top salesman, implying that I had probably just heard him wrong. She did nothing to help me as a customer other than cancel my flex membership this month, rather than next month. I would have appreciated an apology more than $10.00. I could have saved $159.00 by canceling earlier if it werent for the lie I was told. This gym treated me with little to no respect, they lied to me, wouldnt call me back, and wouldnt apologize for their mistakes. They seem to protect their top salespeople at all costs. I wonder why. If you have a problem with the LifeTime in Woodbury that you want to voice, it probably wont be heard. I wouldnt recommend this gym to anyone.

I have been to a lot of gyms, Like LA Fitness, Snap Fitness, and etc. But nothing beats Lifetime Fitness! Coming from Saint Paul, this place is worth the drive! The General manager is awesome and helpful! Opened 24/7 except holiday which is understandable. I used to come here a lot by myself or with my girlfriend at night, around 10pm or 11pm. I am more of a night owl person, and the gym is pretty empty at the time when I come in. The night staff is awesome! Usually consist of the three same guys, and all hard working! Always makes you feel welcomed! -Dave (I believe that is his name, I do apologize if you are reading this and I didnt get your name right) is an awesome guy as well! He is respectful, and anytime when me and my girlfriend are there he lets me know that he is going to clean the women room and usually waits until she is done with her business. I appreciate this a lot! And Thank You Dave! The place is clean, especially the hot tub, and sauna! The swimming pool is always open! Oh, and Bonus! Own locks for the lockers and unlimited towels provided! Equipment: Always Clean. They have more than enough at the place, in my opinion. Not much of a Cardio person, But they have ALOT of cardio equipment! And The Last Time I was there In April, I believe they installed a new Deadlift, Power-Clean, etc. Area! The Fitness Rooms are always clean! Its been about 2 months since I have been in the gym, but will be planning to head back this month! I have a Gold Membership, and I say the price is just right for all the things that they provide! Never had a problem! Keep up the good work!

I was quite excited about becoming a member at this gym just to be sorely disappointed. There is no crowd management whatsoever and the parking lot is full at peak hours 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. You might drive around several times to find a spot and I dont mean by the front door but way in the back of the parking lot if you find anything at all. This means all of the people in the parking lot are using the facilities so expect no space in the group classes, no space in the showers, no space in the sauna, no space in the pool. Very disheartening. Worst of all, is the customer service I received when I tried to complain about this situation. The staff member that sold me the membership, Brett Banaszewski, did not return my calls after three attempts. I then called the general manager, Sean Severson, about this situation and he was completely unconcerned and unapologetic even implying I was making these concerns up (lying). I was aghast at his lack of customer service that I have decided to cancel my membership. I have read how difficult is to cancel the membership also. I am planning in escalating this situation to upper management to see if they care about how their business is being handled by incompetent staff members. I am sure Bahram Akradi does not want his business to suffer economically due to the incompetence of a few staff members. Buyer beware.
