Just wanted to take a moment to thank the director of this store (Nick) for what he did yesterday for us. I stopped in at the bakery on Friday afternoon and ordered a cake for a birthday party on Tuesday night. I gave them my order and told them I needed to pick it up by Tuesday morning. Yesterday afternoon when I stopped in to pick the cake up, we realized there had been some mix up, and the cake had not been made. It took about 5 minutes, if that, for Nick to come to the bakery and realize they had made a mistake. He personally took responsibility and told me that they didn’t have anyone at that store to make the cake, but they would take the order to another store, have it made, and deliver it to us. And he insisted that they would not charge us for the cake. The bakery from the other store called me to verify everything on my order and the cake was delivered in an hour and a half to my home, by Nick personally. I have never had such wonderful customer service. If I didn’t already give this store all my grocery business, I would absolutely start! I love this Hy-Vee, and if you ever have the pleasure of meeting or working with Nick, you will see how dedicated he is to making sure every one of his customers has a positive experience. The main reason for taking time to write this review is due to a bad experience with their laundry service. I dropped off a king size comforter to be cleaned. I paid close to 30 dollars only to get it back home and it wasnt clean at all. I moved to the area and started shopping here around the time of having a second baby. Turns out I didnt buy a carseat that fit the basket of a shopping cart. Most stores have shopping carts with a built in carseat base, however they do not. So while my daughter was an infant I was forced to shop for groceries elsewhere, otherwise I had no room in the shopping basket for groceries with the babies carseat down in it. They provide close parking for new and expecting mothers, with no cart return anywhere near it. Despite this, They have excellent customer service and a lovely store overall. Although I sometimes find it hard to find where they have certain items placed, Store associates are always super nice and helpful.

I thought I would treat myself to a nice Ruben at Hy-Vee restaurant on 72nd St. in Gladstone yesterday, The service was very friendly and very attentive the sandwich was the most expensive horrible experiences Ive ever had with a single sandwich the meet was so tough I had to bite into the sandwich stick my fork in between my teeth and the sandwich and separate the tough meet I mentioned it to the waitress the waitress talk to the chef Chef talk to the manager he came to the table and told me that thats the way the people like it is nice thick pieces of corn beef he saw me trying to eat the sandwich and offered nothing as in compensation the sandwich was $13 with a little bit of sweet potato fries which were very good I paid my bill left a $10 tip and I will never be back to that store again

Wouldnt give it a star at all. I love Hyvee and will continue to shop Hyvee. However, I will never visit this particular store again. Their customer service was supremely horrible. I was turned away on a wine and spirits purchase at midnight. I was told that alcohol sales stopped at midnight because, "technically Saturday at midnight it becomes Sunday & alcohol sales are prohibited after midnight on Sundays"... These robot employees choose not to use their brains (common sense), thus causing me to waste gas and my time driving elsewhere to make my purchase. FYI, I have shopped at many Hyvees and every single one would gladly unlock their wine and spirit section for me to make a purchase within MO state time restrictions for alcohol purchases.

The floral shop at this Hy-Vee is OUTSTANDING. I had flowers done here for our wedding and wow! Listen up, brides: You dont have to pay an arm and a leg for excellent flowers. The prices were extremely reasonable (you can also get an additional price break if you get wedding stuff from 2 other depts), and the staff was accommodating, organized and kind. Kathy E. was so sweet--she treated us like a member of her own family. The flowers were beautiful and arrived on time. I brought in things from Pinterest and had one I didnt have any pictures of, but had a good idea of what I wanted. Kathy and staff delivered exactly what I wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend the floral shop at this Hy-Vee to anyone!

I am very disappointed in a recent customer service experience at this Hy-Vee location. My husband went in to mail a package. There was a sign that said they couldnt mail packages. So my husband approached the counter to ask if they knew anywhere nearby where he could. The lady at the counter turned away from a conversation with another employee, very rudely told my husband they couldnt mail packages, and then turned her back on him and returned to the conversation. I am not the kind of person who thinks the customer is always right, but I sure hope this kind of rude behavior isnt considered good customer service across the board for Hy-Vee.

I have been shopping here since this Hvyee opened. It truly is MY HyVee. Even though we shop other HyVee stores sometimes, I like this one the best. Their Chinese deli is the best and we dont go to any other ones for Chinese. Excellent service throughout the store. Great customer service and the checkers are established. I know many by name because they have worked there so long. I was sad to see Peggy retire. Such a sweetie! Jill is a favorite too. Helpful smiles in every aisle for sure!

This is my favorite grocery store! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the store manager is actively involved in making sure that everything runs smoothly. When people start stacking up at the registers, he quickly opens a new line. The station to try different in-store-made dips and guacamole is great. The meat department has a great assortment of pre-marinated and ready to cook meals. Finally, this location has an electric vehicle charger that I appreciate as an EV driver.

Ive been shopping at this HyVee for 7 years. The workers are so helpful and friendly. They run good sales and the store brand is usually very good quality. Lots of great resources in the Health Market. Their dietitian, Megan, is a great resource for many many things. They are always friendly and helpful with my small children. Their Pharmacy is well-run as well.

This is my favorite grocery shopping stop. Tons of vegan and vegetarian variety. They have a Health Market section with a wide range of non-GMO and organic selections. They converted part of the deli/eating area into a Market Grille. Starbucks. Store is always clean and well stocked. Staff is always friendly and very helpful.

This is by far the greatest store I have ever shopped at. The staff is so friendly its almost a dream. The management and staff know my entire family by name. The deals are worth every trip. The fuel savings are another reason this is the only store I shop for groceries at. Love Gladstone HyVee!!!
