Most expensive grocery chain I have ever been in and I shop around. Now Im not counting a fresh market or whole foods, so Im comparing to places like fareway, Kroger, publix, Winn Dixie, Wegmans, trader Joes, target, etc. I just dont see the value from Hy vee that puts it into the luxury category where I would spend more money to go there. For example 10 dollars for 12 oz of raw shrimp is nuts. That being said, they usually have more unique ingredients not carried by other chains in the Midwest. So I only shop there when necessary for something unique.

I had lunch at the new market café today and the experience was amazing. The entire staff was very attentive. They have a tasty selection of meals priced very amicably to choose from. Salmon, Steak, Burgers (even with an egg), Sandwiches, Mac and Cheese open face sandwich, Barbeque flatbread pizza and delicious appetizers. I had the jalapeno bacon maple syrup wontons and yes they are as delicious as they sound. In addition to food they have a nice selection of libations and several televisions around the café. I highly recommend this venue.

Purchased a pre-made club sandwich and it didnt have the bacon, pickles, onions, mayo or mustered. Ask the person behind the counter why and she said, "You need to ask for those items" Talked with the GM and he said this would be fix and would send me a coupon for free sandwiches for a week. Never got the coupon. HyVee really needs a secrete shopper to check the smile in every aisle. The sandwich counter always have ppl that look like they are suffering from hangovers.

Went to the Market Grille as it was convenient to shop for groceries afterwards. We were the only customers in on the weeknight and our server was nice, however it took a little longer than expected to receive our food and when we got it, the chicken was hardly warmer than room temperature and dry and the pasta was lukewarm. I would have liked hotter food if presumably was freshly cooked since no one else was in the Market Grille.

I cannot understand why others would leave less than steller reviews of the entire HV offering. As much as South La. / New Orleans / and Gulf Coast are noted for their culinary acumen ..... HV could be a serious player in the overall Grocery Competition. Just me.....but I would recommend a visit. Or 2.

Very disappointed at the market cafe. I wish they would go back to the old days. We used to be able to order breakfast and get it in 10 minutes or less. Now, after 40 minutes today, we still hadnt gotten anything. 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast and it wasnt busy. Had to leave ... Didnt get breakfast.

Hyvee is by far my favorite midwest grocery store. They have great products, clean stores, and great hot and ready food, but what really makes Hyvee special are the friendly employees. I dont know how they train them, but they do a great job instilling a positive and friendly culture.

Came for Compost stickers on the night before first week of WDM pickup. Store out of stickers. This is absolutely rediculous and POOR management of the customer service counter, plain and simple. Hundreds of them should have been on hand for this well anounced first day of pick up.

I really love this Hy-Vee, this Hy-Vee is the place I go grocery shopping at. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable too. I would recommend this Hy-Vee to people I ran into. Also the Market Cafe is great place to eat or watch a sports game or two.

This location is clean, easily accessible, easy parking, with a wide variety of items including organic, bulk, full deli, bakery, meat dept, postal services, and florist. The prices are competitive and the staff are helpful.

Some Hy-vees are more updated than others. The produce is good. The selections of cheeses, breads, bakery good are impressive. They dedicate a big section of the store to gluten free products.

People are friendly and helpful. Not a fan of the remodel and removal of the floor tile for cement. I get the idea, but know feels more like a Costco or Sams versus a Hy-Vee.
