I have been meaning to sit down and write this review for 8 months. I had such an awful experience with my 3 year old son here on June, 16, 2016. My son first got his hair cut here on May 6, 2016. Shay was his stylist, and she was amazing. Seriously. My son hated haircuts (understatement). He now does just fine, but there was a time when it was the worst thing in the world to him. Shay somehow was able to remain calm, which kept him calm, and we actually got through the May haircut with no tears. I was so happy, and wanted to make sure that Shay was his stylist for future haircuts. Fast forward to the June 16 haircut. I had called in advance to know when Shay would be working. They gave me her schedule and I purposely took my son in during her time. When we got there, Shay had just taken a gentleman back to begin cutting his hair. I should have insisted that we wait for her, but Tiffany said that she would cut it. I had my 5 year old and 1 month old with me, and didnt have a lot of time to wait anyway, so we went ahead with Tiffany. Never in my life have I felt so berated and judged as I was that day. She was flippant and rude. This cut did not go as well as the May haircut with Shay had gone. He was crying and very upset. Tiffany kept stopping the cut, rolling her eyes, and saying rude things to another employee that was sitting in the chair next to us. I told her that he wasnt going to calm down and just to quickly do the best she could. I let her know I didnt expect the best haircut in the world with the way my son was carrying on. However, she kept stopping and had so much attitude. I was mortified that my son was so upset, but even more disturbed at the unprofessional tone Tiffany had toward my son. She went as far as to diagnose my son with autism (waaaay out of her scope of expertise, seriously). He does not have autism, by the way. He was just having a rotten day. And even if he did have autism, I certainly would NOT need a hair stylist making her offensive and ignorant judgments about my child. To make it even better, after the cut was done, she asked if I wanted it a little bit shorter to buy us some time before his next haircut. I told her that would be good. She then pulled out her clippers, and buzzed his head. After the 15 minutes we (and everyone else in the salon) endured of her painstakingly trimming the sides and scissoring the top, she just buzzed it all off. Something that my husband and I could have done at home for free, and without public embarrassment from my sons meltdown. This is a long review. But the moral is: ask for Shay. As for my family, we will never be going back to this, or any other Great Clips. Ever.

I bought a card with 3 haircuts on it and took my daughter in for one haircut. They charged my credit card the haircut and then charged my gift card the full amount which was 29.97. I didnt realize it till after I left so I went back and they could not figure out how to put the two haircuts back and the card and blamed me for their mistake saying they already have me the haircut back on my credit card. They did give me my money back on my credit card but Im still out of 19.98 which I dont think I will ever get back due to their computer and ignorance!! They wont even call me back and I refuse to step foot in their store again after how rude they were to me and blaming me for their mistake. The manager, Paula, was the one who cut my daughters hair and made all the mistakes with chagrin me extra. This issue has been given to great clips gift card customer device which has done nothing to help. They are all foreign and wont help by calling the manager even though I sent them a picture of all three receipts!! I gave the receipts to the manager and my card. She said she doesnt know if she will ever give me my money back and will tell the owner whenever he comes. Which I guess is never since I havent heard back from her since. This was a month ago!!! Stay away from this Great Clips!!! I will never go back to this one or any Great Clips ever again! Worst customer service Ive ever seen! Never gonna get my money back sadly!

You get an F Great Clips. Took my son to Great Clips on 8604 N. Church Road Kansas City Mo. They messed up his hair because their check in girl checked in the wrong person. They used the saved haircut dimensions for another person and scalped my kids hair. He was very upset. They said isnt he Jordan Martin? NO!!! Oh sorry...you still have to pay. WHAT??? The manager Kelly Neitzel was rude, never apologized, raised her voice demanding payment and refused to show me my sons haircut record until after we paid for the botched haircut. So...we paid. Did we get to see my sons haircut record...No! She further offended us when she made a comment about my sons race! What does that have to do with YOUR error! We will NEVER be back to this franchisee. Good Luck to anyone who enters this store. Disgusting and immoral!

Took my daughter to get a haircut, and they took my card to charge me for what i thought was a 14 dollar kids haircut, they charged me 34 dollars for products i didnt ask for and for an 8 dollar tip, then brought me my card (with no receipt) and said the transaction was declined, so i handed them my other card and they charged it, only after did i see the $34 price, but decided to leave it. Checked by bank statements a few days later and they did infact charge me twice, took both bank statements to get a refund and was told to leave and dispute the charges if i wanted a refund, even after the person who cut her hair admitted to double charging me and tried to pay me back out of pocket. Crooked store trying to stay in business, dont need 2 great clips within 1 mile. New location by Price Chopper Much better.

Ask for a certain hair dresser her off no problem next day I called said she be in at 2 oclock ok no problem no show but said she be there the next day drove over again not there . I got mad an the manager came over an chewed me out. The topper was the hair dresser that I wanted call me up and told me she wont have time for me any more that all the hair dresser there were wonderful .let me tell you they are really bad thats why I tried to get the one I came back for so many times . Oh bye the way they didnt honor my card for a free hair cut once!

Probably one of the best haircuts I had ever had! Randy cut my hair and I couldnt of been any happier. He relates to the customer, makes you feel welcome and gives you the overall best experience. It didnt feel like one of those long haircuts that you are begging be to over. If Great Clips employs people loke this, then I will definitely be back. Thanks for a great haircut!
