Makayla PreSchool Curriculum
The same staff for the entire time my child has gone there (almost four years)! They have had one additional "teacher" start during this time, but her family has been part of the daycare for years. She just graduated high school, is finally grown up, and this is her first job. This is hard to find at most places and because there is not any turn over rate in staff, your child has a second family. They dont have a lot of money so the building is older, the toys are mostly donated and it isnt up-to-date. I say this because if you are like me and judge by appearance preferring the "clinical" look, then you are going to be sadly disappointed. When my daughter was born, I had just had a spinal cord accident and social security hadnt came in. I could barely walk, let alone get my daughter to a daycare out west like I had planned. I took one look around and thought, "Oh my god, our life has come to this." But that is on me for being a judgemental, arrogant fool. This staff quickly became a second family. They cared, beyond that of a normal daycare facility. They are no strangers to hard times and became an invaluable asset to my parenting. They have pantries dropped off, provided Christmas for my daughter, had the Easter bunny on Easter and even get the kids halloween costumes and take them trick-or-treating every Halloween. When my daughter got extremely sick, the Director even drove us to the emergency room. And even though they themselves dont have much, any donations they receive that have things left, they set outside for those in need. I do not believe this review about the medicine, unless the Mother put it in the childs book bag and didnt tell them. They keep it in the fridge in a lock box like the law requires. However, like any daycare, things to get lost there. We have pony tails show up two weeks later, socks days after they went undiscovered. Even when my daughter and I forgot her meds one afternoon for her UTI, one of the staff dropped it off at our house that evening after she got off! If you are in Midtown or in their vans driving area; and you are looking for a daycare that will be an extension of you, this is your place. This place may not look like much, but they have something 95% of daycares are lacking in by the truckloads - love. They have Creighton students that volunteer for school credit and come to just sit with your child; hugging them, talking one on one, and playing a game. Your child will see the same people everyday and will grow up with the same kids for years. This kind of stability, combined with the big hearts of the staff members who go out of their way to help single mothers and families who need it; is worth more than any new carpet, fancy play centers, and organic diet. This daycare, will become your second family.

Will lose your childs meds and will blame it on the child and also will say they never received it. They are also very disrespectful. This isnt the first time they have had problems there. Dont take your child/children there.
