When my children first attended this daycare it was nice and we loved it you could tell that the staff really cared. When they changed management and front office staff a lot of teachers quit. Then it seemed like they started hiring everyone and anyone. They hired a lot of teenage kids that you could tell really didnt really care about the kids . Every time I came to pick up my kids they are always running around without a teacher present and every other week there is a new teacher because they quit. They stay over teacher to kid ratio. I even had some teachers message me after they quit saying how bad it is up there and how other teachers dont watch or care for the kids properly. The front office staff is always just on their cell phone or doing hair and makeup and when you try to talk to them they ignore you. They have forgot my kids a couple of times at school. Its just disorganized and chaos no one is on the same page. They are suppose to provide the kids with dinner but every time my kids come home starving and saying they just gave them bread a piece of ham and milk or sometimes cold food. They even had a teacher twerking in front of the schoolers class. I wouldnt trust the people they have up there now with my dog let alone my kids glad we left. If I could give less than one star I would.

Its taking me a lot of courage to write this. The sound and thought of this place makes me sick to my stomach. If your a mother i know youve felt that gut feelings that something is not right..My son everyday i would drop him off he would cry and tell me he didnt want to be there he didnt like it there i would pick him up and instantly feel sick to my stomach he would run to me for dear life and rush me out the place with this sad look on his face like something was wrong. His classroom was a disgusting mess everyday. Something tells me he was neglected and possibly abused in some way i dont even want to imagine. I also believe his teachers were on there phones most the time. His drink somehow got mixed up by a completely different looking sippy cup and this happened twice each time i said something about it and was apologized to for it and told it wouldnt happend again 3RD TIME i told the front office..We payed for 3 months of being there my son only went there for not even a month i couldnt handle the sick feeling and thoughts anymore. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PRECIOUS LITTLE BABIES HERE. Please look elsewhere.

When my children first started attending Oak Leaf we really enjoyed the facility. The staff seemed nice, the teachers were nice, the kids had fun and the rooms and playground were always buzzing. Then, things changed.. directors changed, my oldest was changed to a TSR3 class and it all hit the fan. From the moment the the front office staff roles changed I was unhappy. I felt as if not only me, but my children were being picked on. I felt as if the front office staff and my oldest childs teacher had some sort of personal vendetta. Very aggravating, and heartbreaking. I can say we absolutely LOVED Ms.Sheryl, Ms. Ashley(pre-toddler class), and Ms.Joy. These 3 ladies are super special and they are definitely missed by my kiddos. Ive heard from several centers Ive toured and and a few parents that they feel the same way about the office staff AND the TSR3 class at Oak Leaf. I hope any parent reading this takes caution when placing their children at Oak Leaf, and look beyond the fake smiles and fake happy voices when touring. I wish things could have been handled better with this facility.

When I moved to Rowlett 2 years ago my daughter had never been in daycare or even with a babysitter so she had some initial separation anxiety. When she started at Oak Leaf they were so kind, gentle, and understanding with her. They made sure to make her feel safe and invited. The staff quickly became her extended family. The last two years that shes attended there have been beyond beneficial and fundamental to her growth. She started as a shy 2 1/2 year old toddler and with the aid of their nurturing has grown into a strong, independant, and smart 5 year old young lady. Mrs. April, the director, is the most amazing person. She has listened to every concern, answered every question, and graciously accepted my feedback every time. Mrs. Donna, who has been one of my daughters teachers for the entire 2 years, is awesome! Thank you both for the unconditional kindness youve blessed my daughter with. Thank you to the whole staff! Youre all incredible and well miss you!!! :) The next daycare she attends in California has some HUGE shoes to fill because you all set the bar too high ;)

It was fun though, forming our own secret clubs with my friends afterschool and during the summers, going on field trips once or twice a week when they always had field trips over the summer, wednesday ice cream, all the game cube games I used to play, the first time I watched Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away next my young crushes who played basket ball and monster tag with me in the mornings and afternoons; good times. The only bad memories that I remember were trying to adjust to some rude kids, passing out in the theater room in an effort to escape the nauseating scent of the horrible macncheese they made, the "pizza" that was (cheese, tomato sauce, and 3 slices of pepperoni) literally on a hamburger bun, a-hole kids taking your computer in the cpu lab and then changing the password so that the administration couldnt log in either. I learned my first cuss words here and realized how sheltered I had been all my life to "things"! I learned how to deal with outgoing people there, if anything. And hats off to Mrs. Nicole!

We love Oak Leaf Kids Academy. From the front office to the back of the building, the employees are amazing. They truly care about Gabriels education and well-being. He has been going there for two years and loves his teachers past and present. I appreciate that they are so friendly and communicate openly with me regarding Gabriels care. Since my work day is sometimes really long and starts early in the morning, their hours are perfect for my schedule. Gabriel is almost always excited to go to school even at 6am and has cried on occasion when I picked him up to take him home. He loves his classmates and has a great relationship with other students throughout the school. When I pick him up and ask hime how his day was, his response is most often "Great!" I am so glad that we chose this school out of the many that we researched!

Let me set the record straight, because "Debra" is obviously confused. For one I doubt she has a child attending the school, just a guess... Also she seems mighty hung up on the director, sounds like a personal problem. Well Ive known the director for many, many years and she is NOT dishonest, she is NOT fake, and I can totally see how she sleeps at night. Shes actually a very fair person who has been working as a director for years!! Also this daycare is no where near being closed down. You can go to the dept of family services and see all of the state inspections and any violations, Ill save you the time, it passes with flying colors. Any violations are VERY minor for paperwork, ie:missing a childs shot record. It seems to me that Miss Debra needs to get a life and not rate a business that she knows nothing about.
