Got an interview with a client for a contract job with another AppleOne branch, but didnt get the job (although like all other companies these days, the AppleOne rep didnt bother to call me and say I wasnt selected). Since the Sahara branch is closer to where I live, I thought Id go see about some temporary clerical/admin work with them. I showed up to the interview at the Sahara branch dressed professionally and 10 min early, with a copy of my resume as they requested. The rep was friendly and the interview seemed to go well -- she said it looked like I had some excellent admin skills and that she could probably get me some assignments, especially if I was willing to take last-minute assignments -- exactly what I was looking for. I understood the pay wasnt going to be a lot, and I was fine with that. I was requested to revise my resume, which I did. When I submitted the new resume to the rep, the response was lukewarm: my resume was posted in some sort of database, and the story was now "Well see what happens." I got the impression that wherever my resume was now posted was not too far from the Circular File (AKA the trashcan). I hadnt taken the typing test or other clerical tests with them yet, but I wanted to get those done -- I followed up twice on getting those tests done, with no results. Seriously? Do I have to call repeatedly and harass someone at their branch just to take some clerical skills tests? I realize any staffing agency is very busy and cant place everyone, but not getting back to someone on some simple testing is a very unprofessional way to give them the brush-off. If there was something wrong with my qualifications & background, they never said. If its something else, like lack of positions, or lack of motivation to place me (Im not receiving govt assistance, so they dont get a tax credit by putting me to work -- and they do ask if you are receiving assistance when you fill out the app), theyll surely never tell. Dont waste your time or get your hopes up that youll actually get work with this agency.

I cannot begin to explain how disgusted I am with the Henderson office. I currently reside in SoCal, and am planning to move to Las Vegas. I went through the entire rigamarole of applying online for a position with them, scheduling an interview and drove the 300 miles from Los Angeles to Henderson to complete the process. Having gone through all this trouble, I received a message from one of the recruiters requesting that I call them to go over my application, only to find out the morning of my interview, that they had so inconveniently cancelled my interview, stating that the position I applied for did not exist. The young lady who I was so unfortunately forced to deal with had no knowledge of what was going on, and even went as far as lying to me in order to appease me. I was later told, after my scheduled interview, that my appointment had not been cancelled. I was also informed that the position that I applied for, which by the way was posted on Appleones website, no one had any knowledge of. Later on I found out that the position did exist and was asked to forward my resume and could expect a phone call in regards to the status of the position. Needless to say, I am still awaiting that phone call. Im not quite sure what purpose Appleone is serving, but it is definitely not that of a staffing agency.

I am really surprised of the negative reviews that I am reading about AppleOne. I have been with AppleOne since I moved here from Tennessee and I can clearly recall when I first applied with AppleOne on January 04, 2014, and was working on January 6 2014, and have been consistantly working every since. I have had nothing but GREAT interactions with this agency and everyone has been extremely pleasant each time I visited the office. I have never had a issue with attitudes, or rudness as individuals are stating here. My representative makes it a point to keep me employed and has been doing a great job at it. For those who have had a bad experience it really suprises me because I have nothing but good things to say about AppleOne and their staff. I have an AWESOME representative. Thank you Jina for your continued support and friendship! :)

im a real estate agent and now that the market has totally crashed ive been trying to find a 9-5 job, or even a party time job just to have some gas money. anyway, TWO times now i have applied for a position they advertised and TWO times now i get to their office and they look at my resume and say im not a good candidate. THEN WHY DID YOU CALL ME IN? i had 2 jobs in a row that only last a few months because one of the magazines i was working for closed and another one ended when the owners moved to vegas from out of state and got rid of the local sales staff. these were not "my fault". i wasnt fired or let go. both times the arrogant recruiter said "ill have a hard time getting around that when i send in your resume." then why did you even waste my time coming in when you HAD my resume sitting in front of you when you called me?

Before moving to Vegas, I called ALL the temp agencies in town, signed up online and discussed my resume with them on the phone. Tara Yeager assured me I could have a job within one week. I get to town & they give me Lorraine Gillanders who was worthless and never once called me about a job. I transfer to the office on West Sahara and go visit Samantha who basically insulted me and reeked of Menthol. Still call them weekly to tell them Im available and they have yet to find me a job 3 years later. BTW, I have tons of skills and experience. I think this is just a front for an unseemly business or way to perpetrate identity theft.

I went in thinking my resume and skills are excellent, how can I not get a job soon, or at least a lot of interviews to give me a chance at getting a good job. But I received Jina Sheldon as my AppleOne representative. Not one reference was called and I wasnt even tested on my skills. What kind of recruiter doesnt even test a persons skills? What kind of recruiter doesnt even bother to call a persons references? Jina Sheldon, thats what kind. All I can say is if this is how AppleOnes recruiters are, stay away. Dont waste your time.

All of the poor reviews are correct. There are a lot of jobs posted on Monster and CareerBuilders under AppleOne. But the recruiters dont work with each other within an office, nor do they work with the other office location within a city. Unfortunately I didnt read these reviews and I got Jina Sheldon as my recruiter as well. I just wasted my time. Employers are missing out of good candidates from the Sahara location.

I had quite a pleasant experience going to the AppleOne on Sahara and Rainbow. Nicole greeted me. She was very nice. I went up there to take a typing test, and she explained things very well. The only reason that Im giving four stars instead of five is because I havent tried to use their employment service. I took a typing test for a job position outside of AppleOne.
