It is very hard for me to even give a star to this place you call a funeral home. My Father passed away about 3 weeks ago. His remains were transported from coroners office to Davis Funeral Home. My sister was not properly notified and found out through neighbors about his death. My husband and I live in California and had to make arrangements prior to driving out to Vegas. My sister was distraught at the time and Davis Funeral Home took advantage of her mental state. Total Charges for cremation came out to about $7K. When my husband and I arrived 4 days later, we went to Davis Funeral home with questions in regards to the outrageous fees. We were informed by the older lady in the front that my Father HAS NOT YET BEEN EMBALMED. (Note: we were scheduled to dress and I.D him that day as we have not yet identified his remains) Prior to this I had already contacted several other homes in the area and was met with a more reasonable amount. Since we were told that he has not yet been embalmed, we decided to transfer his remains. Several minutes later, a man approached my husband. (Big white mid 40s white guy. Im assuming hes the owner) His demeanor was EXTREMELY COCKY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. (HE WENT AS FAR AS SHUSHING HIS EMPLOYEES WHILE WE WERE STANDING THERE) HE TREATED MY HUSBAND WITH UTMOST DISRESPECT BECAUSE WE COULD NOT AFFORD HIS PRICES. AFTER GOING BACK AND FORTH WE FOUND OUT THAT HIS BODY HAS BEEN EMBALMED. HIS RESPONSE WAS VERY RUDE. TOLD US THAT WE NEEDED TO PAY THE EMBALMING FEE AND WE CANNOT VIEW OUR FATHERS REMAINS IN HIS FACILITY. I UNDERSTAND THAT IN THIS BUSINESS YOU DEAL WITH THIS ON A DAILY BASIS AND YOU ARE IMMUNED TO SYMPATHY. HOWEVER AS A PROFESSIONAL, HE SHOULD SHOW REMORSE AND SOME SYMPATHY TOWARDS THE FAMILY, AS WE DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS. INSTEAD, HE LACKED COMPASSION AND HUMILITY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS BUSINESS. WE, INSTEAD WENT TO THOMAS AFFORDABLE WHERE WE WERE SERVED WITH PROFESSIONALISM, SYMPATHY AND COMPASSION. VICKI TOOK HER TIME WITH US AND WAS VERY HELPFUL.

I had an interaction with A.J. at the Funeral home today that I could not describe as horrible. My grandmother had her body donated to science, and we were called by the company to retrieve her remains from Davis. Once I arrived at the Funeral home, A.J. demanded to know who we were dealing with at the Funeral home, which is information we didnt have, and kept demanding this singular piece of information before I could get any help. Since this process was controlled by an outside company we had to call them to find out. Its pretty sad that there isnt a place where the Funeral home can find this information on their own. Once we called the company and got the salespersons name at the Funeral home they finally took us back to a room where we sat by ourselves with no help for 20 minutes. While my situation may be unique, it will weigh heavily if I have the occasion to do business with David again. Edit: I was reviewing the paperwork today associated with the cremation, my grandmothers remains have been sitting in a cardboard box in Davis basement without notifying us since last February. This is beyond horrible. I dont even know how to respond to this. I know now that I will never do any business with Davis again.

Davis is the friendliest most caring and professional Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Las Vegas. They work with the families to make certain all details are handled and also work with families financially. Now that they are the only owned Family funeral home and cemetery in Las Vegas they have only improved. Well done

Look, Im here for the upkeep but 1 your long sprinklers going on one small area is not only drowning two of my family members graves but I have no clear way to get to them until the sprinklers are done. 30 minutes. 30. Not an hour.

The most caring and understanding funeral home in southern Nevada. They take a personal interest in details with all aspects. They are concerned about you and your loved one. I recommend them as a five-star.

The cemetary manager had a run in with my sister and made the burial unceremonious Do not pay upfront for a burial here.
