I received two phone calls from appointment setters working for Trident. The first was from a woman who claimed to be older and unsure about what she was doing. She would not end the call until I hung up after she started to cry. The second was from a young sounding man. I explained that all I wanted was the cost for a base plan. He continued to try to persuade me to allow someone to personally deliver the information. I asked why I could not get a base number so I could make a decision about a visit, rather than wasting the time for myself and another person. When I told him I did not want a personal meeting without some reference information he hung up. God only knows whose ashes would be delivered to my spouse or the ocean or anywhere. VERY PUSHY ORGANIZATION, SIMILAR TO A CAR DEALER SALESPERSON OR A FURNITURE STORE SALESPERSON. Planning your death is spooky enough without talking to a person that is only interested in commission.

UPDATE: I took the advice from the company as stated below my review, I went onto their website and filled out the form EXACTLY as my brothers name appears on their mailing list, and we are still receiving mailings from them addressed to him, despite 90 days having passed. Terrible company--my review and opinion of them stands. If I could give no stars I would. For some reason these people started sending information to my brother who has been dead for 15 years. The mail goes to my mothers P.O. Box so every time she gets one of their pieces of correspondence it is addressed to my brother, a periodic and extremely painful reminder of her loss. Ive tried everything to get them to stop sending materials--calls, emails, letters--and nothing has worked. If they are as incompetent with handling their correspondence perhaps they should not be in the business of handling people who have died? Unbelievable people.

Seriously the most insensitive people I have dealt with. Christine needs a course in customer service and a good dose of empathy. While the service provided was timely it was not handled well. I was told by Christine that for a family viewing (my brother in law and sister in law both live out of state) it would be a $275 charge, it would be 7 days before they could arrange it and that the family would be in a room with a window and the deceased would be brought out of the refrigerator in the cardboard box she would be cremated in and we would be allowed 15 minutes to view her. Are you kidding me....... Then we had to drive 45 miles miles, right past the mortuary, to deliver the box for the cremains to Trident so they could deliver it to the mortuary.

I receive mailers frequently addressed to my deceased husband inviting him to sign up for their cremation services. Although I have informed them more than once the mailings do not stop. Today I was told by one of their employees that the mailings stop but begin again after a year. No apologies whatsoever. Told me to contact the post office and their corporate headquarters. This has been ongoing for several years!!!
