It looks like another restaurant has run through its restaurant life-cycle. For the last several years, Ive been coming to this particular El Pollo Loco and loving it. It was one of my favorite places (good food and clean). Today (Wednesday @ about 11:30 am), we walked in and were told they had no chicken breasts/wings (this happened to us at their Decatur location (on a Monday @ about 11:30 am) the last time we tried eating there, too). How can a restaurant called "El Pollo Loco" ("The Crazy Chicken") NOT have chicken breasts or wings at lunch time? My wife "discussed" the situation with them for a bit (wondering how they were serving their double-chicken salads if they had no white meat) and after some back and forth, they admitted to having some squirreled away for that purpose. They gave us one of them. Right. So, we went looking for a place to sit (there were about 3 other groups of people in the place) and found the whole dining area to be filthy. I dont know what happened. Im pretty sure theyve changed managers since the woman who used to be running the place isnt there any more. Yes. The food still tastes good. But, the management better get their act together or thats it for them.

Ordered the 12 piece family meal. Mgr said it would feed 4-5 people. There were 12 pieces of chicken (which was fine) but the side of potatoes and gravy was a joke. The potatoes were in a 12 oz cup and the gravy was only 1/4 cup... their smallest cup which was only half full!!! This was supposed to feed 4-5 people??? Potatoes and gravy would feed no more than two and that was skimping on the gravy! I understand from others that the same amount is included in the 8 piece family meal. Either way...forget the family meals. Its really dumb since potatoes and gravy are really cheap to provide.

Whenever I go to this spot I only go through drive through as we usually taking it home to eat. The chicken is cooked fresh daily right in front of your face. The green salsa and churros are my favorites... be sure fo ask for a lot of green salsa you will regret it if you dont. The only issue I have is 2 times out of many times I have come here they are out of chicken (or breast) i forget and we have to wait. They are truly friendly and apologize to you for the issue and may even possibly give you a discount. The guy in the drive through is my favorite. He is just great and friendly!

The food was tasty and your wondering why it is only two stars. Some lady pretending to be fully hispanic tried to rob me for about 16 to 17 dollars. I ordered something worth 2 dollars and handed her a twenty dollar bill. She gave me a dollar back. I said i gave you a 20 dollar bill. She said " no ablo englais " or something like that. I then told her " Give me my correct change or i will notify the manager" she gave me my 20 back and i kept the dollar and left without anything

Stupid! They gave me little to no chicken in my pollo bowl, and I went for a refund and the Hispanic mullet kid gave me an attitude and gave me the wrong change. Went back again, he STILL gave me the wrong change! So, I gave it back and I was VERY VERY mad. And Im barely 16, he probably steals from the DANG el pollo loco. He didnt wash his hands after handling money. Never come to this el pollo loco. Im so mad, I didnt even capitalize the name of the damn business.

I placed a catering order six days before my event. When the order was 20 minutes late, I called. They hadnt even seen the order. No order was prepared. Luckily I called an hour before the event or we would have no food. The only positive was my sides were free. As it stood, the order was over an hour late For that reason, I cannot give this particular restaurant a higher rating.

Order was made wrong and when I called to complain I was told by the drive-thru employee she packed the bag herself and no mistakes were made. She told me to bring in the bowl the next day and I will have another made for me. I explained that this is for my lunch break and was offered 25% off my next purchase. I will not be purchasing anything from here again! Terrible service.

Crappy service.. tried getting two 16 piece orders for a small birthday party meal and they refused to make it because "there is not enough chicken". So what would happen if two people ordered the 16 pc. Back to Back? And its barley 5:30pm. I dont understand...my impression is the employees being lazy. Never going back.

I ordered a chicken Ranchero burrito and the first 2 bites I took each had a chicken bone in it. They were both at least 1 inch long pieces of chicken bone. How? And the burrito has cabbage in it so I thought it was a piece of stale cabbage that would not crunch. Nasty!

In the beginning evething was fine we love this place but later food was not cook right people dont help nasty actitud the app dont work the dont give the coupons discount but well what can I said more Im free to look for others restaurant pollo loco you loose me

Worse location ever! I know it isnt the best time to go 20 mins before closing but turning off the lights from outside and drive thru then answering me. Then when i try to order not answering as if i wasnt there. And wait till its 11 to tell me you guys are close!

This location is good and fast. The only thing they lack is patience. Sometimes they are so eager to take your order that you feel rushed, and they make simple mistakes by not listening to you. Ive had a couple times where we have had to go back to fix an order.

Ran by kids and a 25 minute wait for chicken. We love this place when we visit Texas. This place? Not so much. It was terrible. The tortillas were cold, the rice was cold, and the guacamole might as well been whole pieces of avacodos.

Filthiest El Pollo Loco location Ive ever been too! Floors were filthy, condiment counter a mess and no containers , trash over flowing, burnt chicken with almost no seasoning. Skip this location and go to the next one.

I ordered Avocado Bacon Tostada. We went through the drive thru . The order was filled in minutes and was correct. The young lady at the window was very friendly. I had never had the salad before but it was great.
