This cafe or bistro exceeded my expectations. The food is fresh and flavorful and the coffee is marvelous. We loved the coffee so much we went back over and over again. I had a cappuccino and savored every second of it. They use reverse osmosis water which contributes to the flavor and Cafe Moto coffee beans (locally purchased). They offer soy instead of milk for those who dont want the extra fat. Also they have a special sweetener called agave which is from the cactus and since I dont do white sugar, I was thrilled. Most restaurants know nothing about this alternative. I ate the ocean beach bagel which has fresh avocado and lemon pepper and I must say it was truly special! I am now adding this to my breakfast selection at home. My husband had the smoked salmon and it was of the highest caliber. We shared the waffles and they were crisp and light and we loved the fresh whipped cream. But above all the decor and ambiance was elegant and special. I love a french feel and the owner knew what she was doing. It isnt trite or contrived. It is glamourous and vintage. Some people do not know how to do this slightly shabby chic nouveau look. She has it down. Large chalkboards with oversized moulding. White tables with natural wood table tops. Wine crates lining the counter. The patio screamed south of france with white slatted tables and chairs and green and white print table runners. Nice comfortable benches lined the white picket fence. The big treat is that they are dog and child friendly. A cute pup entered the facility and went right for the dog bowl filled with water and grabbed a nicely sized dog biscuit. They also have toys for kids. Be sure to visit this sleepy cafe and bring your computer because the wireless is free! You may wind up having several meals there because of how long you stay. :)

This place could be better with management updates. The food is good. The staff are nice, the location is in a near food desert. Yet they act suprised when they are busy and only have 1 or 2 waiters working the entire restaurant. Maybe they make enough from catering, but everytime i go, i see anoyed clients, empty unbussed tables and busy frustrated waitstaff.

Noticeable changes in food. Ordered the Bacon Benedict and the bread was thin white toast. Used to be a sourdough or something thick. Seemed like a cheap substitute. Fruit sides were diced fruit were not impressive. Service was great but for overall price, we have other choices to consider.

The service is fantastic, the food is outstanding and the coffee is honestly the best in San Diego, perhaps even in California or the USA as I never found any better while travelling there. I want to come back to San Diego and I want to come back to To the Point!

Always dark roast coffee which I dont understand, great food, but service is very dependent on who is serving. If theres a new server, youll be waiting for a while, and will probably have an empty cup of coffee for a while. This place is almost great.

its called, "the best mocha in the world" for a reason. my wife fell in love with avocado on bagels here, even if they arent nyc bagels. super relaxed brunch spot in point loma. too bad its not closer to the beach, thatd seal the deal.

Frequently go for coffee because it is close to my house in Point Loma. They have super strong coffee and a pleasant wait staff. Their bacon is nice and thick too! Bunk bacon is a deal breaker for most, you wont be let down here : )

Im hooked on their organic blue sky brewed coffee. Its like no other and the unique taste kicks the pants out of Starbucks. Very kind staff. They are always improving the decor which is already delightful inside and outside patio.
