On Monday, 01/18/16, I called Pop-A-Lock because I lost the only key to my car. They told me they had to reprogram my car to get a new key made. After all of it was done, the door handle was loose to my car, they tried to glue it but its still loose. They also informed me that my old/original key was not going to work anymore. Luckily, I found my keys that same evening. Out of curiosity I tried using my old key and it worked. So I thought, awesome, now I have 2 keys that work! After everything was said and done, $165.00 later, I started my car the next day to go to work. As I am trying to leave for my lunch break, my car wouldnt start. Tried to jump start it, that wasnt working either. So I had to get my car towed to a repair shop. They told me that the computer in my car was confused because 2 keys were used to start my car. Out of theft protection, my car refused to start. They had to reprogram my whole entire computer and program both keys to make it start which cost me $250.00. Pop-A-Lock NEVER informed me that even if I were to find my key, to NOT use it because it will cause the computer to shut down. I called them yesterday 01/20/16 to file a complaint. The representative Christiana I spoke with was completely rude, not understanding or supportive and refused to transfer me to a manager or provide me with the managers name. She tried to blame me for misunderstanding them and that what they told me "PRETTY MUCH" means the same as NOT TO USE MY OLD KEY. I do not see why I should be responsible for any of the charges above since I was misinformed about the situation. Had I known that using my original key would shut down my computer to my car I would have tossed it. This is just beyond ridiculous considering the amount of money and time wasted on this. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND DAMAGE TO MY CAR!!

Exceptional service and pricing! Woke up Monday morning to discover that I was locked inside my house (no joke!). The dead bolt stopped working due to the lock not being properly aligned with the door. Im very, very skeptical when it comes to a service such as a locksmith. So many irate consumers because of all the bait and switch tactics involved in that particular industry. Anyway, I did some research (read reviews) and as much due diligence as possible. This lead me to Pop-A-Lock. Called the number was answered by someone I assume in a call center. She then took my basic info and it was sent to the local office. The manager in turn called me a few minutes later. I let him know straight up that I was leery of using a locksmith. He assured me that the tech coming out would do a great job and there would be no need to worry. He gave me an approximate price (service fee, new deadbolt and re-key) of about $95.00. Price seemed fair enough and he sent the tech out. Darren arrived within 45 minutes. After another 45 minutes or so he had the old deadbolt out (it practically crumbled), the new one installed and re-keyed. Additionally, he was able to get the lock properly aligned. Now it closes and locks without resistance which in turn should extend the life of the deadbolt considerably. Price? $97.04 total. Awesome!

Horrible Horrible Service!!! tonight i was locked out of my car and my insurance contacted pop-a-lock for the roadside assistance. A Driver by the name of Anthony Parker had contacted me that he was outside the building, as i was giving him clear instructions on how to get to my car, he seemed irritated and actually hung up on me. As he pulled up to my car he came out very aggressively and tried arguing with me infront of my 4 year old daughter. I then told him i was not going to argue but allow him to do his job. He cussed me out , got in his car, refused to help and left. I contacted the company and they told me to they would not be able to help me as he was the only driver in my area. They said to contact my insurance company for another provider. This experience with the company was such a dissapointment and inconvinience. My insurance and i have agreed that moving forward, pop-a-lock will no longer be the company i will recieve help from when i am in need of roadside assistance and i am thankful for that!!! Please do yourself a favor and go a different route because you might get Anthony Parker , Or someone just like him.

The dispatcher that called me back was rude. We sat in the heat with a 2 year old sweating in her seat for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Part of that was due in part to having to contact Progressive insurance to set up assistance again because the internet was down. She told me the driver had already been by me and made it a point to correct the location I was at even though the two are the same Rd. Then when she told me that it would be another 45 minutes because there was 2 ahead of me, I was a little angry at that. I told her that it was bs and she hung up as if in her own way telling me well, you have no choice you have to wait anyway. However, Paul the tech with pop-a-lock. Was nice. Called me on his way and when he arrived he went straight to work, got fuel in the tank and we were on our way

We locked our keys and phone in the car at 1:51AM in the Walmart parking lot at Eastern and Russell. We had to use the phone inside the Walmart Las Vegas. We had to BEG them to come because we didnt have a phone they could call us on. Our phone was locked in the car. We had to escalate it to a supervisor and beg on the phone for them to please come the 4 blocks from where they are located to help us get into our vehicle at 2AM, and then they charged us way more than we were quoted on the phone. They answering service was rude and unhelpful. Its already a stressful situation, this company should be doing their best to accommodate people in this situation, especially when you charge us almost $200 to come unlock a door.

Called 3 days ago, spoke to a gentleman who told me someone would call me to schedule an appointment because i need a new transponder for my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. I never received a call, so i called today and the man who picked up the phone said hello with such impatience, i started to talk and he cut me off saying hello again in a hurried way so i hung up. I know they have great reviews but maybe its just a one off experience, but i need this key and they are billed as a 24 hour service and the man who was nice the first day told me i would have to wait at least 5 days for an appointment. that doesnt sound right, if someone needs keys what are they supposed to do?

We recently called your company, We Appreciated Jim Datson. Even tho our call was cancelled w/dispatch, Jim never got it, still came over being clear across town and when we showed him the cancellation call, to whom @ the time, he was still as Polite and Courteous as can be. We even tried to call him, hoping he was just down the hill, to come back and allow us to tip him for his troubles, he refused, even knowing it was $20. Its people like him that will have us calling again and also referring him to others. Thank You Jim Datson {Dotson} Hope your company Appreciates you as we did.
