I bought a Saab from an unscrupulous wholesale dealer. It brought it to the Saab shop due to smelling exhaust in the cabin. They informed me that it needed a head gasket and would cost over 2,000 dollars to repair. After much deliberation and speaking with Joe and Michelle I decided to fix the Saab. I also got new tires and the bill was almost 4,000 dollars (including the tires) apparently there were more tings that were in need of repair after Joe looked further into the car. After spending close to 4k to repair the worst car ever, it was still not running properly and the vibration from the tires was bad. as well as the check engine light went on (hence worst car ever)... I brought the P.O.S. back to them and surprise! It needed further repair water pump and bearing on AC compressor I believe to the tune of $800.00...Again I brought it home (well actually I have to say they dropped it off for me which was very helpful) The next day the engine began surging when the AC was on (being a 90+ degree day this was very bothersome) I brought the thing back AGAIN and apparently a relay had blown (there was no problem like this until after the bearing on the AC was fixed). This time Joe fixed it by switching relays without having to pay anymore money out...I had already spent close to 5K already mind you....The reason why I have given them such poor score is because a few months later I went for my yearly inspection. This was the first time since I got the car back that it had been put on a lift. As the guy was checking the tire depth I made the comment that the tires were only a few months old. HE showed me one of the tires tread was really low. Upon further examining one of the tires WAS NOT the tire that I purchased!! I immediately called the Saab Shop and Michelle told me to bring it in. When I arrived Joe examined the tires and then became very hostile. He REFUSED to admit he made a mistake and put on a used tire accidentally! He went so far as to ACCUSE ME of wrongdoing and questioned my integrity!!! My career is in Law Enforcement so that did not bode well with me whatsoever. I stated to him why would I try and scam you out of one bad tire when I spent close to 5K at your shop? He still refused to admit a mistake and muttered something about "researching this" and walked away from me. After I drove off, I spoke with Michelle and she too would not admit a mistake was made! I got a call later from her and she told me that all they could do for me was for me to buy another tire at their cost and they would mount it and balance it free of charge. SO I had to pay for a FIFTH tire....That was the last 73 dollars they would ever see from me!

To my other family! I have seen to much of you recently! I need some private time alone with my sad saab! Despite the fact that I do own a Sad Saab.....this is a great place and family run business to get your car fixed!!!!! I have owned more than several saabs. I first met Joe when he worked for the original Saabshop. I trust him to diagnose problems and work on the current Saab I own. The "family"is friendly, polite, and professional. Tim is the main contact person with Michelle close behind........setting appointments is easy, travel to or from is easy, they do offer shuttle service if you need it, the work to be done is carefully explained, and updates on your car is given! They are a Bosch service so once you have the card you can pay for the repair over a six month period without paying interest. So if you have an emergency car crisis it comes in handy. The work they do is excellent. Their attitude is the best.........it is a nice place to visit when your car needs a regular check up or emergency surgery! And if you wait while your car is being serviced you can have a coffee and watch TV just like at home. I have even used the loaner car for a day! First service place I have been at where they offer a loaner!!! Cant get any better! Bring ;your car to Focus Automotive in Bow.

My new home is the Saab Shop. I have monthly visits with Mabel (my 2002 93 convertible-1st Saab) and will for many months to come until she is in pristine condition. My thought by the time I get done I will be a member of the family!! Christmas wish list is on its way:))))) I am a "When Harry met Sally" customer and my list never ends. The patience given to me is amazing (Hubby rolls his eyes and is grateful to their acceptance of my quirky ways). They even include diagrams which I am guessing is to help me understand what I pretend to process. LOL All kidding aside the information given helps so much and helps me understand what I am actually paying for. I never get a sigh or an eye roll. That is good!!! What I love the most is the gentle guidance of "Necessity before Vanity" I get. I am dying to put a new dash in but it has had to wait as there are many safety items to be fixed. Mind you not that I wouldnt do those first but my excitement at visually seeing things come together sometimes blocks out the logical choice of items that arent seen. Thank you Saab Shop!! Salute!!!!!

I was traveling through Bow on a family vacation when my Saab had an electrical failure. The team at Focus Automotive / The Saab Shop agreed to take a look - without an appointment within thirty minutes of my arrival by tow truck. The team worked quickly, but thoroughly to gain context of the situation and identify the root cause. They took their time to think through causes, contingency plans and educate me on why my fears of an alternator failure could be eliminated. The technical expertise by both the front of the house and back of the house is impressive. Perhaps the best experience I have had with an automotive or any service provider in the past five years. I was sent on my way (within an hour or so) with practical instruction on how to replace the fuse that failed (should it occur again). It demonstrated follow-through and consideration often lost in the pressure to be short term profitable. I recommend the entire team without hesitation.

You should never have to sacrifice customer service for technical knowledge. And with the Saabshop, they understand that. From the first time I called & talked to Tim, they worked hard to make sure everything was taken care of correctly. I brought my "new" 900 classic in for an initial assessment. Joe was very thorough and provided me with a list and quotes of the work that needed to be done. He then spent time to show me what was the priorities, what could wait, and what I could do myself to save some cash. He is looking out for his customers, not his wallet. Joe is amazing. His work is spot on, and when he says the job will take 2hrs, then it will take 2hrs, no more. Their estimates have always lined up with the bill, and there was never any extra work added. You cant go wrong here. They are always extremely friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. Joe, Michelle, and Tim really are a step above the rest!
