United Van Lines did not transport my personal belongings successfully in the summer of 2016. At the time of pickup, my items were not placed into their unmarked truck with the upmost care. My furniture was not wrapped. Some pieces of furniture did not have their own item number, instead they were grouped with another item number. Upon delivered, the truck was a different unmarked truck, thus knowing that my belongings were moved from the original truck. Some items did not have their item number sticker on them any longer, creating a difficult situation when trying to verify all items received. Most of my furniture had multiple dents, scratches, and pieces of wood broken off. In addition some personal belongings were missing from the delivery. After a claim was submitted with United Van Lines, my furniture was repaired at a satisfactory level about two months after delivery. I was also given a small check for the rest of my belongings of which I researched and gave the company an estimated worth of about 20 times more than they gave me. After about a month of back and fourth correspondence in a second attempt for settlement of my claim, I received another even smaller check. This was not a valid evaluation of my missing belongings and it was an insult to me. United Van Lines has not put in the effort to located my lost belongings, nor have they made the effort to apologize and take fault in what they did by settling with a proper amount. I do not recommend this company at all.

Best moving experience ever. Thomas and Henry helped us move out of our old home and into our new. They returned to unpack our two minis. Thomas had helped us pack our minis. Excellent work, fast efficient and careful with our possessions. He noticed when furniture was missing their rug felts to protect our hardwood floor in our new home and placed the furniture in a way so we could add them. They were careful in the home we were leaving which had been completely repainted and careful in our brand new home. I would like the owner of Diggins & Rose to know how much we appreciate Thomas hard and fast work. Workers like him are hard to find these days. He even took the time to pet our 17 yr old cat who was stressed out by all the activity around her. Thomas is a gentle giant and I would recommend him to anyone. Also Dorrie was so helpful when we had to reschedule our move due to a last minute delay caused by our lender. During a busy time of the month she was able to juggle the schedule and get our move rescheduled with Thomas. Personally I hope to never move again but I would not hesitate to recommend Diggins & Rose to anyone.

Cross country move two years ago. Have posted complaints on the web and they have made sure that they are deleted. Basically, we moved cross country and chose Diggins & Rose because the sales rep promised the quickest delivery. When they loaded our stuff, they shattered our glass TV stand in front of us and did not pay us for the damage. We chose a high deductible for insurance because we did not expect damage except for perhaps a catastrophic event. Our furniture was almost 3 weeks late. I only found out it was going to be late when I called to ask. They would not help me and referred me to the United Van Lines corporate office. When my belongings finally arrived, there were quite a few broken pieces, and my bowling balls and shoes (total value $600.00) were missing. The damage was just under the $1000.00 deductible and we did not get a penny back. I reported them to the BBB, and received a phone call and apology letter from the president of Diggins and Rose, but that was it. The BBB returned them to their A rating because they wrote us a letter. Stay away!

Used them for a phased move from one home, into storage, and into another home. Pricing was good, they were on time and very professional. My one gripe is we were sold end to end transportation in containers that would be loaded at origin, stored in the warehouse, then unpacked at the final destination. They ended up unpacking them at the warehouse and some of our belongings were damaged. I then got the "thats not what we said" treatment afterwards and they admitted no fault in the process. Insurance claim processing was slow but it eventually happened. I ended up paying my entire deductible. Make sure you get a low deductible if youre utilizing their storage services as things are more likely to get damaged when youre not watching them!

They were very professional and kept every promise they made. The loaders of our furniture took great care with our items and after traveling from NH to NC (ahead of schedule by the way) all the items arrived in the same condition in which they started. The driver and helper were fantastic. They worked hard to make sure things went where we wanted them and took special care bringing them into our newly built home. To top it all off the original estimate of the costs based on the estimate of the weight (our items were in storage when the estimate was made) was off by close to 2,000 lbs. once weighed Diggins and Rose quickly processed a rebate. This company far exceeded our expectations today. Not only were Matt, Jay & Henry on time they were a few minutes early! Right off the bat they were professional & courteous, each of them introduced themselves & offered a hand shake (sometimes a lost art these days). They were quick, efficient, careful & organized with the loading & unloading of our belongings. Also a big thanks to the salesman Mike for making good on his promise of the hanging garment boxes & hand delivering them on a Saturday when they were mistakenly left off the order! These are only a few of the reasons we have become customers for life & will refer D&R when ever the opportunity arizes!

Diggins & Rose had the experience and appropriate manpower to make the necessary adjustments to keep the moving process going forward without any major delays. Their daily communication updates were very helpful and they were very flexible. The moving process puts a strain on everyone and it makes a difference if the moving company is experienced in all phases of the move which Diggins & Rose was. Overall a job well done. Generally good with no major losses. Delivered on time. 1 broken mirror, 2 shelves disassembled but not re-assembled, 1 love seat recliner disassembled but not re-assembled. Very good truck driver and good crews.
