I hadnt been to this post office in years and now I remember why. They go out of their way not to help you. I went in to get a change of address form. The one that you use to change a forwarding order to a different address than initially requested. I know the form exists. Ive used it before. They asked me where I was changing it from and when I told them they told me that town had to do it. What??? No. Just give me the form and if my old post office has to make the change then you transfer it to the old post office. Im not driving to the town I used to live in to fill out the form there. Thats why we have mail . . . so paper can move across the state. She was so difficult I ended up just asking for the regular change of address form and filled it out like it was a new request. My old post office will get it and fix my forwarding order, but seriously? You tell a customer that they have to drive to the post office they used to live just to change a forwarding order. No. Worst customer service ever.

I recently moved to Portsmouth for work and needed to change my mailing address so I stopped by this post office location. There were no line so I walked up to one of the clerk that was available, Kim. No hello, no greetings of any sort and no smile. I told her that I needed to change my mailing address expecting her to go over what Id need to do. But without speaking a single word to me, Kim rudely handed me a blank form to fill out. I was in disbelief of the terrible attitude I was receiving but decided to let it go. I handed the form back to her after completing it, she simply said "you are all set" without even looking up. I shall not return to this location unless necessary and if I do, I will make sure to skip Kim and her sour attitude.

In the past my review was this: 1 Star Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I was turned away at 5:30 on-the-dot with 2 people in line in front of me. Customer service 101: if the customer is in your store, serve them. If you dont want to serve any more customers, lock the door. I have been back since and the staff was kind and curious. I have not seen the individual who provided "literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced" since.

I run a shop in town and I am always dropping off lots of packages or having them picked up at the store, Everyone is always super nice and easy to work with. It is a post office and its busy and the parking is sometimes a problem, but even when i call or go in everyone is great.
