A BUSINESS BUILT ON LACK OF OPTIONS. This place is a DUMP! Only reason this gym is still in business is because it’s the only one in Asbury. Men’s “LOCKER ROOM” is nothing more than 1 stall, 1 urinal, 1 sink, and 1 shower that I wouldn’t step foot in. Usually one of the 4 is Out-of-Order. Rates are comparable to WOW but 1/18th the quality. Equipment is sub-par and usually never wiped down (hard to wipe down equipment with empty paper towel rolls and cleaner bottles). They are deceptive in their charges, fees and cancellation policies. They also work with an overly aggressive billing company. “Mistakes” are often made by incompetent managers that result in unavoidable costs on behalf of the member and calls from collection agency. Save yourself the angst, get in a car and drive to a better gym. It will be well worth the time and gas money. If they don’t make MAJOR changes I give them 1 more year before the growth of Asbury pushes them out. Want to get a piece of the “Asbury Pie”? Open up a DECENT gym… There is 0 competition!

Had a membership there for 2-3 years that I unfortunately just had to cancel because of a new job/home and am very sad to go. Saw a lot of results there in both myself and the gym. Never a problem when it gets packed as there are plenty of weights to go around. Very neatly organized sections - cardio, smith machines, racks, free weights..they also have separate room for classes with just a ton going on. The owner Carmelo is a great guy and always listened to me as well as interacted with other gym members. Prices are very fair and given that it is in the heart of Asbury, its not a bad excuse to spend a bit more time there. :] Nothing to complain about..even the cancellation process was super smooth. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. The owner or whomever it is that signs you up is just a liar. I joined this gym earlier this year (prior to summer) and inquired about the air conditioning. Someone who formerly went to this gym told me they didnt have A/C. I was told it was being fixed and would be working once the summer came. Well every since then it has been a series of notes scrolled on a whiteboard saying the A/C will be fixed on XX date. That date comes and goes and then another date is updated. This is a deceitful business practice and quite frankly they are lucky they are not sued for false advertising. I am planning to quit if this is not resolved soon.

I also had a problem with this gym. I wanted to cancel my membership and called. They said they could cancel it over the phone, but never did. Thinking that they had canceled my membership, I closed the credit card they were billing my dues to. 3 months later I get a call from a collection agency. When I called the gym, they say they now cant cancel the membership until the collection is paid. I paid the collection just to get them out of my hair. Ill never ever do business with these people again. What a terribly run business to disgrace the town of Asbury.

Belonged for more than a year, gym is average but then they got rid of the AP which I used to get into the gym, didnt notify anyone, I left 10 voicemails asking what happened and not one call or even email was returned. I called this am and someone answered who could careless about the face I havent been able to itlike the gym or what I experienced and told me to send a certify letter to cancel my membership. The fact that she didnt care even enough to explain anything true oh blew me away, choose another gym they dont really dont care about their members.

It was horrible. I called up to get questions on how the gym worked and whoever picked up hung up on me. I would much rather go to Jersey Shore Fitness because they do not charge you enrollment fees for a month to month membership. The guy didnt even take the time to allow me to explain what it was I was trying to figure out.
