Do NOT bring your car here for repairs! I brought my car here since they have cheap tow service that brings you there, and I was really in a pinch. I knew it was a tube that had burst and was overheating my car, so I expected a quick fix and be home, as I do at other garages. I leave my car there, and they tell me they cannot see the car until the next day. Sure, no problem. I come back the next day with an appointment and get there at 2. I sit and wait for 4 hours, and they have the car ready. The price was more than DOUBLE the estimate, because they had to drain and refill the radiator. Never had to that at another garage, but I was so tired of waiting I paid it and left. I take the car and drive barely to the town borders and white smoke billows out of the car. I have to pay another tow truck to get back to Pep Boys (which I was later told I was responsible for even though I had left the store not 15 minutes ago). I wait again back in the store. Since I had just gotten the car fixed within the hour, I ask if this is something I would be responsible for. They say its covered. They then say Im responsible for a $80 switch they had to replace in the car shortly afterwards? I end up leaving the car overnight again since they were closing down. They said they should have it ready around 10am, but if I dont recieve a call be sure to call back. I call back at 10:30am, they say it should be wrapping up soon but to wait a little bit. I go towards 11:30, and wait. I waited until 6:30pm in that store a second day until they had the car ready. They showed me that it was spraying water from inside the housing, but wouldnt this be something that would be seen the first time when they had my car for a day and a half?? Upset, I speak to them about the overall cost. They say "well see if we can get your parts voided out" (as if they were doing me a favor when they had said it would be covered since thy couldnt fix the problem the first time), and then give me a bill for another $200 for labor. I asked them questions about why it was so high but they were closing down, plus I had been there for longer than an employees shift there so I was understandably tired and frustrated. I left and paid the bill, but have never felt like my time and car had been so disrespected.

I read these reviews AND heard of bad experiences from people I know, but foolishly decided to go here anyway because it was cheaper than other places and I had a coupon. The mechanic seemed nice enough, but I should not have trusted him. I went there twice in the past few months, once to get my tires done and once to get an alignment and a few other minor things done. When they put my tires on, they found a problem on one side of the car. When I went the second time to get that problem fixed, they said that the problem was on the other side as well, even though a mechanic elsewhere and the first Pep Boys mechanic who put the tire said that the second side was fine. As for the alignment, my car drove perfectly straight before I got this done (they said I had to get the alignment done before fixing the first problem), and now it drifts to the right. My husband (who was not the previously mentioned other mechanic) was a mechanic for years, but no longer has access to a lift and certain tools. Therefore, he cannot fix some problems on my car, but he can others. He went to do some more work and found damage that Pep Boys did to my car. He went back, and they gave him a hard time about fixing a small thing. They eventually did it, but made him wait two hours. He went to fix something else on my car (all of this posting is within a range of three months) and found MORE damage they did, but they refused to fix it. He is positive that they did do the damage, but does not know how he could prove it in court. My car was running well before I took it to Pep Boys. It started making all kinds of noises right after taking it there. My friends father also had a terrible story from this place. He got new tires here, and a tire fell off on the way home. DONT EVER GO HERE. I never will again. It may be cheaper at first, but fixing the damage they caused is costing me a lot more time and money than it would have to just take it somewhere else to begin with. My husband warned me and other people warned me, but I didnt listen, and now I am definitely wishing I did.

Usually I dont have am issue with pepboys, and this location has been great to me in the past, but, I have had the exact opposite experience over this past week. I brought in my tire on sunday because the valve stem had broken off and I needed a replacement. They had initially told me it would take about 30 minutes. Come to find out the tpms sensor was bad too. So, they were able to replace that for $130 and a good 2 and a half hours of my time. I drove it home and the next day while I was driving home from work the light started blinking. I took it back the following day and they "reset" it and sent me on my way. As soon as I pulled into my driveway it started blinking again. So I called back today and requested an appointment to come in again after work and was met with a very dismissive attitude. They replied with "the best I can do is to come in as a walk in" I responded asking if it seemed fair to you that I should have to come in and spend another three hours of my night waiting for you to fix a part that I had bought at pepboys and had installed there. To ehicu, I was basically given the same response. I then requested they put a note in my record so that I dont have to keep explaining myself (for what would be a fourth time now) and was again met with a dismissive attitude. Finally she asked for my phone number and said "I printed it out and will fill in a note". So I guess Ill be coming back in today, for a third time for the same issue that I was told was fixed. This wouldnt be as much if a problem if I wasnt running back and forth from the hospital everyday to visit a terminally Ill family member. A very annoyed customer

I would rate them less then 1 star if possible. For the record its probably not the employees fault and some of these issues are due to corporate policies and influence. The mechanics get paid on commission so if you bring your car in there expect that they will create a long list of parts you dont need. I had some trust in what these service managers said i needed, so when i brought my car in for front end suspension work i did everything they told me, thinking that its best for my safety. They ended up putting the wrong struts and control arms in which caused a stabilizer link to break soon after and my front end was never the same. It doesnt end there. Before i noticed the bad previous work i brought my car in for a check engine light and spoke to Regina, she said they checked the code and it meant system check normal. I thought this was an odd answer and had checked the code with a buddies reader. It turned out that i had a bad 02 sensor. Something so simple. I came to the conclusion that while there might have been 1 great and helpful master mechanic in the shop, it would be hard to be honest in that store. The reviews that state 5 stars are fake. You would have to be out of your mind to trust them with anything but putting air in your tires if that
