When looking for a contractor to elevate my home after hurricane Sandy, it was extremely important to me to find someone that could handle the entire project from start to finish. I was working many hours and did not have the time to be my own general contractor, so I wanted someone that I could trust to do the job efficiently and quickly. I had heard of so many horror stories of contractors running off with deposits, quitting and disappearing mid job, and leaving without returning any calls. I have heard of so many people that are still out of their homes, trying to complete construction so they can return home finally. I interviewed many contractors, many of which I am so glad I did not choose as some have been arrested for fraud. Both myself and my neighbor decided to use Rocon due to the fact that they were a local company and had been in business for many years with a great reputation. From day one, I cannot say enough about my experience with Rocon. Not only were they extremely professional, but a pleasure to work with. Everyone went out of their way to answer your questions and help you through the stressful process in any way that they could. I was lucky enough to be able to secure a rental a few blocks away from my home. My husband and I were at the site each and every day to see the progress and work completed by Rocon. Many days we would speak with the workmen on the site, who always answered our questions completely and thoroughly. They never seemed bothered by anything we asked and took their time to discuss everything with us. They worked diligently, even on the weekends, to finish the job. The main hold up on our project, was the town of Brick who were very slow on their inspections. We were found to have an unstable deck, so we opted to have it fixed and put on Trex decking. I laugh because the deck was the longest part of the project, as they worked tirelessly to reinforce and fix this deck, never rushing to cut corners. It had a lot of problems and they have made it beautiful. A special thanks goes out to Phyllis in the office, as I dealt with her quite a bit and she was the biggest help, always eager to be of assistance. This project could have been a complete nightmare,like the ones that most people are complaining about who had undependable contractors. Rocon was not only there for us through the entire project, but actually turned our home into the nicest on the street! We constantly have people driving by and stopping to tell us how great it looks. I cannot stress enough for anyone to use Rocon for any elevation or construction needs that you have as they do quality work. Marianne Dahl

I have been a customer of Rocon for over 15 years and that time spanned the renovation of a previously owned home and the total renovation, and now demolition and new construction of my current home that was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. During this time, I have been more than satisfied with my experiences with Dennis and Rocon. His office and ancillary staff are always professional, hardworking and courteous. I cannot recall any time when questions, concerns and issues were not resolved amicably and in a timely fashion. All phone calls and emails are always promptly returned. During an emotionally trying time when Hurricane Sandy ruined my home, Dennis made himself available on a Sunday morning to come to my home and help my family and I clean up after the devastation. He worked alongside us as we moved all of our water and mold destroyed personal belongings to the curb. He not only provided physical assistance, but emotional support as well. It was an overwhelming time for everyone and Dennis’s expertise and helpful recommendations aided us in making prudent decisions about our courses of action. When the time came to make a decision about rebuilding, he walked me through all the confusing and necessary steps and we spoke numerous times about our options. I ultimately decided to demolish my home and put it up on pilings, and Rocon handled everything - always keeping me informed. He even went out of his way to meet with the Flood Insurance Adjusters to ensure they didnt miss anything. To date, everything has moved quite smoothly with our construction and we are on schedule and within budget. I have and will continue to highly recommend Rocon without hesitation.

As a single woman managing my own renovation, I was careful about interviewing and researching several local general contractors for our home renovation. Rocons proposal was extremely professional and polished, and the estimate was right at the midpoint. With one minor exception, every subcontractor was extremely respectful of our privacy, worked very hard to clean up at the end of every day, and did very good to exceptional work. The entire team worked extremely hard to meet our deadline, and went above and beyond to coordinate and juggle all the various work crews. No project is without its frustrations, and several unexpected delays and expenses were handled professionally, fairly and with reasonable compromise. Communication via email was always responded to in a very timely fashion, and Phyllis seems to be avilable by phone at any hour! My only (minimally) negative experience was my own failure to understand and negotiate better "allowances" for electric/plumbing/flooring, etc. Overall we were extremely satisfied with Rocon and their work. They clearly take pride in their business and in customer satisfaction. We would absolutely recommend them, and would certainly use them again in the future.

After Hurricane Sandy devastated our Silverton, NJ, community and the house in which my 80-year-old mom has lived for the past 35 years, I searched high and low for a general contractor who was reputable, ethical, affordable, and highly capable. After narrowing my search to three, and then interviewing each candidate, the decision was clear. I chose Rocon and was not disappointed. Dennis and his team did what all homeowners hope for when we engage in such high-stakes business arrangements: Rocon did what they said they were going to do, when they said they would do it, with superior customer service and quality, and for the agreed price. I suppose, after much searching, you could find a contractor as good as Rocon, but you will not find better.

I had a 4700 square foot home built by Rocon. I am told by all who visit my home that it is their favorite. It was constructed by Rocon from the ground up and was completed on time, in budget and beyond my expectations. Communication and accessibility was of the highest caliber. I had professional, punctual and well managed interaction with all involved --- from the receptionist (who always picks up) to the GC to the framers, electrician and on and on. There are many things Ive accomplished in my life ----the results from Rocon building my home is way up my list. Life is a house.....and Dennis and his team at ROCON build the best. Building a new house can be an overwhelming experience, but as soon as we met Dennis any trepidation subsided and we were nothing but excited to get the process started. ROCON walked us through each step, from initial DEMO permits and dealing with the municipality, through to landscaping and doorbells. Dennis has spent years amassing an exceptional team around him and it shows in the office through to the job site. Most job sites you see are littered with construction debris, ROCON made a point to leave the job site spotless everyday. The details are not lost on ROCON and we can not thank them enough.
