Skeptical upon reading other dissatisfied customer reviews, I still gave this company the benefit of the doubt to come out and give me a siding and porch estimate. I met with the owner Mike and right away in less than 5 minutes I can tell what kind of person he was. I told him I was looking to get new vinyl siding for my home and he immediately said that if I wanted a regular siding that his company is not the one to just do regular siding (whatever that meant). He offered his idea of putting stone in front of the house and then siding the rest of the house with regular vinyl siding. I told him it sounds like a good idea but how much would something like that cost me. He then proceeded to tell me that I would need to pay $750.00 for a design that would go towards the balance of the job if we decided to go with them but if we didnt then we would be out the $750 but could keep our design. If you look at his website there is no mention of these charges in fact it says "Contact us for a FREE DESIGN CONSULTATION" I have met with several contractors even one who offered me a free 3D design to show me how my house would look like in different colors and never charged me a dime. Anyway, as I was seeing I was not getting anywhere with this individual I decided to amuse myself to see what he would say to my next question. I asked him how much it was cost to redo my porch and he told me I would have to pay $350 so he can make a design of my porch. What is there to design? I already know what I want and need and if you are trying to get my business charging me for a design plan is ridiculous! I told him I dont feel comfortable paying for design plans I dont need. I told him I know what I want to do and I just needed to know how much it would cost to get the job done. He told me he was going to take a few pictures of my house in case I changed my mind. As he took the pictures I told him I was going into my house for a minute and would be right out. When I came back out he was gone! He never even bothered to say goodbye and just took off. He was very unprofessional for just taking off and his salesman attitude was annoying. Overall, I would avoid doing business with these people as the other reviewers mentioned. I am just glad that I was able to smell a bad deal from the beginning. They couldnt even manage to give me a quote for my job let alone probably complete a job without issues. Dont even waste your time getting a quote cause you have to pay for it! ha! You are ridiculous ALLEVA! Terrible business people. Stay away!

Worst experience of our life. Before the contract was signed Mike would always call or even stop by the house. After they started the project, thats when the nightmare begin. Our project was suppose to be finish within 5 to 9 weeks. Its now 19 weeks and the electrician is scheduled to come out because they cant seem to pass the final inspection. We took our chance to hire Alleva because my wife believe in supporting local businesses. That was a big mistake. I told her that the owner Mike had no respect. I just listen to the way he speak about our home. His son, Jake Alleva is even WORSE. Uneducated and ignorant. This kid literally told us that our floors were crap, without even coming out to see them. And he refuse to continue unless we pay them an additional $6000. Remind you, they were scheduled to collect over $42,000 from us. But somehow that didnt seem enough for them. They try to charge us extra for plumbing, electrical, flooring and drywall. We have young kids and we had to spend the entire summer without a kitchen and they didnt care. I am a area manager and there is NO way any of our employees would be allowed to treat a homeowner the way Alleva treated us. It was insulting. It was devastating seeing my wife CRY because of the lack of respect they showed us. When it was time for us to pick out our countertop we heard that ALLEVA PICKED OUT THE ONE THEY THINK WE SHOULD GET. They did not even show it to us. We had to contact the Better Business Bureau in order to have them finish the project. After they get the money, they disappeared. After they finish installing the kitchen sink it WOULD not drain because they left the pipe open throughout the entire project. They refused to fix it. I had to take apart everything they did and snake it out. The heaters they installed in the kitchen did not work. I did some inspection of my own. Only to realize that they didnt have any electric going to the junction box. They came out to address the issue but they only made it worse. Instead of using a separate breaker, they put the two heaters in the kitchen on the same breaker as the other two heaters in the bed rooms. So now every time I turn the heaters on the breaker trip. Remind you, its getting cold; with no heater in the kids room either. This have to be the worse experience of our life. There are so much more that happen. The project started June 4, 2016 and today is October 21, 3016 and they still cant pass final inspection. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

I cannot recommend Alleva Construction. Mike will give you all the attention you want, returning calls and coming to your home to assess the proposed project. You will receive emails or calls each month following up, wanting to know when they can start your project. After that, he leaves the project to his inept project manager Ken. Ken’s management of my project was so poor I finally demanded that he not call, email or show up at my door. I was promised another project manager, but was lied to. Once the project was completed, Ken was calling me for a final check. I told Giselle, the company’s Business Development Manager I would not be sending the final payment until Mike Alleva called me. I got a call within days. When I enumerated my many complaints with how my project was mismanaged, Mike kept redirecting the conversation with, “but aren’t you satisfied now with the outcome?” He has no concept of customer relations or customer service. Thankfully I waited to get that final check mailed out. The paint was pealing from the posts his company installed on my front stoop within three weeks. At this writing I have not heard back from Alleva Construction. They are silent to my latest communication stating I was deducting the cost given to me by my painter for scraping and repainting the posts. Alleva Construction somehow did not know that freshly painted items must have adequate time to dry and the paint cure before installation could be made out of doors in weather 11 degrees Fahrenheit and lower.

Is it possible to give 0 stars? Many years ago, we hired Alleva to do some minor jobs and they messed up and overcharged us for every one. For example, before over the door spice racks were commonly available, we asked them to make a spice rack that would fit on the back of our pantry door. They constructed a spice rack with about 5 or 6 rows and charged us $800, since they charged by the hour and their employee had never built a spice rack before,so it took him a very long time. The spice rack was unusable because you couldnt actually fit any spice jars easily into the shelves and once they were in the shelves, you couldnt read the names of the spices due to the way the shelves were built. We soon took it down & threw it away since it was unusable. We also had them hang a shelf for us and the same employee hung it upside down, again charging us and refusing to redo the job correctly without charging us even more.
