My husband and I were in the area from out of town when we started having some trouble with our brakes. Since we are about 15 states away from our regular mechanic, we started calling around and doing some research to find a place we could trust and that we could afford. I called a number of mechanics in the area, and DTA was the most economical option. When I went in to the store to have our truck checked out, Alex remembered our phone conversation and took the truck for a quick test drive to get an idea how bad our situation was. He was able to fit us in a few days later, and even gave me a ride to work since we currently have just one car. The work done on the truck was finished exactly at the estimated cost, and was done very quickly. Its been a few weeks and everything is still running great. Honestly, I was prepared for the worst experience possible going in for repairs as an out-of-towner and a woman, but the service we received was friendly, professional, and well done. Alex explained very clearly to me what he thought the problem was (and he was right) and before I could even ask he told me that if that wasnt the problem, DTA would call for authorization on any further repairs. I would recommend DTA to anyone looking for an honest mechanic in the area. I am so grateful for how well they took care of us and our truck!

Ive been having brake issues for awhile now. Ive taken my car to 2 other shops in the area that I recently moved to. Too far to drive back to my old area to get it worked on by my old mechanic. Well these 2 other shops (both located in Hackettstown). 2 weeks ago after hearing my brakes grind a bit on my way to work, I researched other shops in the area and found DTA. As always, Ive been hesitant about dealing with another shop (again). I called if I can drop the car off right at close of business so they can work on it the next day. Next morning, I get a call telling my the issues (which confirmed what I thought) and provided me an estimate. So far Im happy with my choice. Ive called today to get my new tires (bought online) mounted/balanced. I think I found my new mechanic!

I have been here a couple of times and the first time was after I got ripped off at trend motors ( who made a wrong diagnosis about why my engine check light was going on,made some EXPENSIVE repairs and took a month ). I then went to DTA as it was close to where I live and since it had good reviews. Alex gave me a clear reason to why my engine check light was going on and guaranteed that it will go off after the repair. I went along with them and I never had that problem again.The next time I needed some body work done and I didnt have much time, again DTA guys did a wonderful job at a very reasonable price. They even delivered the car much earlier than they were supposed as I was in a hurry .

I usually do most car work myself and am hesitant to let others touch my car but I needed work done that was above my scope, luckily I found DTA. They gave me a reasonable price for a tedious job (clean EGR port) that other shops didnt even want to do. Also had them reinstall some tires that were leaking air (after Wal-Mart did a horrible job during installation) - there was an issue with the balancing, called them up and there was no problem bringing the car back to fix the issue - and they also found a nail in one of the tires that they repaired for no extra charge! Wonderful people, wonderful service, reasonable prices - couldnt ask for more.

Since I moved here about 6 years ago I have been going to Alex for all my vehicle repairs. Hesitant to go to a mechanic in the area after trying 3 different shops in the area and none were able to fix my car or charged way to much. Alex has always been honest and upfront and most of all he has been reliable. What he fixes usually works well. If I have a problem I can go back and he fixes it. He works on it until it is right many times at no extra charge. My daughter can go there and I trust he will not rip her off or try to get her to fix something she does not need to repair. I would recommend DTA to anyone in the area.

Being a single female, new to the area and suddenly in need of car repair, I was apprehensive about choosing a new mechanic. As it turns out, I couldnt be happier with Alex, his work, and the customer service I received. Alex correctly diagnosed the problem and told me of another that I wasnt aware of. The next day, he had the parts and did the repairs. I was thrilled to find my car was running noticeably better. And... my bill was lower than quoted. If my automotive problem is within a hundred miles of DTA, I would bypass every other mechanic and get my car here. All anyone wants when getting their vehicle worked on is honesty and fairness and DTA has that in spades and so much more. Honestly, if I broke down in Florida, Id probably put my car on a train and get it up to these guys. Superb work and the fairest of pricing.
