This company actually deserves two ratings. For their ability to fix things, I would rate them a 4 or 5 star. They fixed two things while at our location (at about twice what it should have cost). BUT, for their pricing procedure, they deserve a 1 star rating at the most. It turns out that they are using one of the systems in the plumbing industry that is known as "Flat Rate" pricing. This appears to be a way to give a low introductory price to get them to your house and then quote the work based on a set price for each item to be fixed rather than on how long the work will take. We were quoted an initial service price to come to the house, but after that, the price to do any work was absolutely crazy. Pricing was typically double or more what you would think it might be. As a customer your option is to pay the price or pay the service fee to come to the house and you are back to where you were and you still have your plumbing problem. I think they are counting on many customers just grunting and giving the go ahead, since they dont want to take off another day from work to get the job done. The moral of this story is: If you dont mind paying a high price for service and you want to be sure of how much you are going to pay before they start the work, then "Flat Rate" pricing is probably for you. BUT, if you want a reasonable price for your service, then Time and Material pricing (the other common method) could be the right way to go. I will go with Time and Material the next time I get a plumber.

If you decide to use Pipeworks, dont accept their flat-rate pricing up front!! And if you do, make sure the work they do matches what they specified in their original quote. In all honesty, I thought their technicians provided very good service. However, my experience with Michael, the service manager, was horrible. The quote I originally received for the work was based on certain items that, in the end werent necessary, hence I believe I was overcharged for the work. However, I needed additional work and thought the technicians knew their stuff so I wanted to use them again...but certainly wanted to address my concern about being overcharged for the first piece. I spoke with Mike immediately after the initial work was performed and he told me that we could work something out. After that, however, my calls were not returned (at least 6 calls over a month), and I felt as though I was just being given the run-around. Good technicians but poor business practices by management. I recommend staying away or demanding a time & materials fee structure.

Here at the Interfaith Food Pantry, a non-profit food pantry located in Morris County, we give out about 18,000 pounds of food a week to Morris County residents in need. Last year alone, we gave out over 1 Million pounds of food. Any money that needs to be spent on plumbing, electric, etc. comes directly out of the food budget. Pipe Works Services cares about their community and immediately stepped forward to yet again donate services. As always, Pipe Works came out right away, thoroughly explained the current issue and what caused it, professionally repaired the problem, and left the area nice and clean. Pipe Works has the complete package, friendly voices answering the phones, a great support staff to ensure quality service, and fantastic technicians that make you feel comfortable and glad you chose them to do the job. I can’t thank Pipe Works enough for their great service, and also for donating the work, in turn helping us make sure we can use every dollar to provide food for those that would otherwise be without.

I called this morning around 7:30am the young lady that answered the phone was very customer service oriented. I asked if its possible to get someone out here before 12pm. I explained to her my reason. She was able to get someone out by 10am. Jimmy was very professional. He knocked on the door I asked him if the bell wasnt working. I thought he was very considerate when he said just in case there is a baby he didnt want to wake the child. Was happy that he had boots to put on, I showed where the heating system was he told me what needed to get done, explained he had to go and get a part and will be back, assured me he will be back so I can make my appt. I truly admired his professionalism. Was nice he let me know about your maintenance plan that the company has. I would def use your company again with having such a professional staff. Thank you

I couldnt have asked for more professional and courteous service from a company. Our old 10+ year old air conditioner died in a blaze of glory this past weekend, right in the middle of our heat wave Memorial Day weekend. I gave them a call on Tuesday morning, and they came the same day, despite all of the appointments that they had (I guess we werent the only ones with this issue!) Unfortunately, our A/C had blown its last breath, and we had to get a whole new system. Miraculously, Pipe Works was able to install it the very next day (today!). I have a 21-month old daughter; they took that into consideration and booked our installation as soon as possible. I am sitting here now, typing up this review in the comfort of our freshly installed A/C system. I am eternally grateful for Pipe Works professionalism!

Thank you, Paul for hiring the best of the best! Our latest experience with PipeWorks began with a busted sewage pipe as we were headed out of town! YIKES! This was a project that should have been a two-day job, but our site conditions had Jonny, Nick and Malik here fixing our nightmare for many days beyond that. They were over-the-top diligent, doggedly pursuant, professional, courteous…as all PipeWorks team members have always been. Paul, as you know since you stopped by (even cancelling a trip!) that this was an especially difficult project. Frankly, if I were on the job I would have high-tailed it out of there toute suite; but NOT your team--they proficiently rectified our headache, keeping us posted long-distance. PipeWorks is the best! Special shout out to Rich and Trish!

New central AC install: Mike C visited our house 2 times and patiently examined the structure, listened to our input, and gave recommendations to help develop the best configuration for our particular install. Our needs and requests were communicated to the installation crew thoroughly, and once on site, they followed through and made sure everything was going according to plan. Kevin J, Kevin R, and Chris were courteous, respectful of our house, and professional. Communication throughout the installation was excellent, and they took extra steps to ensure we were completely satisfied. An organization like this makes doing business a pleasure and we are happy with the installation and end result.

I contacted these guys 2 times. The first time I had them come out to fill an HVAC unit with freon. They charged me a $555 "Quick Fee". I have no idea what a "Quick Fee" is and was never given an explanation. The second time I called them was a month later. I told them that I was having an electrical problem with the unit and they sent somebody out right away. That person told me I was having an electrical problem with the unit and that they dont do that, but would like to receive $99 for his "diagnoistics fee". I told them that I diagnosed that it was an electrical problem long before I even called them. These guys dont solve problems, they just want to get in your wallet.
