We purchased our furnace 5 years ago, and because of the type of system, have not needed any services until this year. Our furnace was able to be restarted the first time with a simple switch. A service call revealed no problems. Less than a week later, the furnace did not work again. We "restarted" it and called. The problem identified, and the part ordered. It was installed the next day. However, it was not the problem. Over the next few weeks, the servicemen (all very nice, respectful and hard working) were called, came, fixed another problem, and returned when the system did not work. The furnace would not even restart on Super Bowl Sunday. We had to be creative with a wood burning stove and space heaters. It took a total of 5 visits and different parts replaced to have a working furnace. (knock on wood) The service is not the problem, perhaps just the manufacturerer. I do recommend them. They have been supportive and hard working. They have driven to other parts of the state to get parts in order to get our furnace working.

I find it shocking how many 4 and 5 star ratings are posted on here! I had my appointment and was told it would be $85, but at no time did the woman on the phone or the actual serviceman "Bart" say that was just to walk in the door! Bart had to call the manufacturer and explain what was going on with my furnace in order to find out what the issue was. The entire time he was diagnosing, he complained in both English and Russian about where my furnace was placed and continually told me I had a cheap furnace! Then after quoting me $1,283 to replace a circulating pump, I did a little research and realized I was being taken for a ride. When I declined to have the services done, I was then hit with a $251 bill. The extra money I was told was for him to actually figure out what was wrong...isnt that what the $85 was for?! Needless to say I did not hire King George and went with someone who was able to come out and fix my furnace the next day and for half the price! What a rip off and terrible customer service!!!!!

Posting a WARNING about King George Plumbing: Overcharging and deceptive practices. The staff on the phone will not give any indication of pricing for parts. They will not allow you to buy a part ahead of time to have their plumbers install. The plumber who came to our home tried to charge us $1,000 to replace a garbage disposal in our kitchen sink. The part was approx $200 online because we had researched it and my husband had cleaned out the area under the sink and taken it apart. The plumber agreed this was 1 hours work max. When we say no to the price the plumber in our kitchen lowered the price to $750. At that point we asked that he leave, but he asked us what we were willing to pay. We said $500 thinking he would still be ripping us off. In the end we asked that he leave but still had to pay an $85 charge for the call. We had it replaced with another plumber in our area for $370. After speaking with several people in our area, it seems that this is a common experience.

Called these guys after getting jerked around by my local all star plumbers and explained to them that my boiler stopped working and my house was freezing as well as my 2 kids!! The women who answered the call told me that they were very busy but to just give her 5 minutes. 5 minutes later…the owner will meet you tomorrow( Saturday) and we moved some stuff around and we will send a crew on Monday. Owner arrives on time with 3 space heaters under his arm.." thought you might need these". Monday the crew arrived in the snow on time.I couldnt be happier with King George. Extremely nice people, very professional, competitively priced, left my house spotless and did a fantastic job replacing a 50 year old boiler. Its not about the brand of boiler, its all about the install and these guys nailed it. I hate getting jerked around by contractors, plumbers and electricians and am very vocal about it. These guys gave me nothing to complain about and I would recommend them to anybody.

We remodeled our bathroom down to the studs with King George. The work was started in early October and completed in early November. After using it for months I can gladly say that the work was top notch! They also replaced our water heater and installed our fridge (water in door required new line), gas range, dishwasher, microwave, clothes washer and dryer (dryer required gas line). We also had to replace old lead sewer pipes and run the bathroom plumbing to the ceiling in case we ever want to put another bathroom upstairs. They also arranged the subcontractor work for the non-plumbing items. The copper tubing on the water heater looks like a work of art! The tile work in the bathroom (marble floor and listello in tub) is exquisite. And the price was about what we expected and on estimate to the end.

So bad experience for using King Georage plumbing. Due to a little leaking of toilet caused small leaking on the celing, the plumber came in and did their work a little over 1 hour. But his charge is around $1035 in total (completely overpricing!). He charged around $500 for detecting small problem and in addition to charge $390 for fixing. The charge for detecting is so ridiculous. Since we didnt have experience on plumbing work (just recently moved in house), we paid what he asked with think that he made reseaonable charge. After consulted with friends and professionals, he completely overcharged us. I made several calls to King George Plumbing and they didnt stand on consumer side and rejected to evaluate the charges. wont use this service anymore.

Horrible company. Dehumidifier repair. First repair person comes to my house, looks at unit - tells me, my unit needs refrigerant, but it us a closed loop so we can not add - must replace the unit $3000. After he leaves, I take a look at the unit and see the valves for replacing the refrigerant call back send second guy. Oh, no it is not the refrigerant but the thermal expansion valve - why dont you replace the whole unit - I will give you a quote to replace the part, but it will be verry expensive. 2 days later, no quote - owner says, Oh I will replace the unit for $2500. Scam company, does not want to repair but replace. Shame on them!!!!

My 27 year-old furnace broke in the middle of January. I needed a new furnace quick and didnt have too much time to look around. I called King George because they installed the original and they came the same day and gave me a quote. I got quotes over the phone with 2 others and while they were a little high they were ready to install within 2 days so I went with them. They did a good job installing it: In a day they installed the new one, took the old away, got the A/C part of it installed, and answered all the questions I had about the humidifier, UV light, and maintenance. Dan was the install guy. They did a good job in summary.
