For several years we had a Generac at our home in Stone Ridge. Subsequently, we moved and sold that property. I did the routine maintenance on the generator (oil-changes etc.) and called Gen-Plus when the problem was more complicated. Without exception, I could not have been happier than I was with Gen-Plus. They were superlative in every way. Steve Vosburgh is just a natural with generators. It seemed that he arrived, and before he was out of the truck he knew what the problem was and what needed to be done. I also appreciated the fact that Gen-Plus did not resent that I was doing the easy stuff and left the hard stuff for them. We had a neighbor who didnt know a thing about her generator, and they were just as happy to do everything necessary for her generator. She didnt have to go near it. If you own a generator, and are within Gen-Pluss service area, I urge you to call Gen-Plus your service needs. They are a "class-act", and you will be very happy with their service.

This company is very knowledgeable, customer focused, honest, reliable, and provides excellent workmanship. It was a complicated job for which all steps were not clear in advance. We put in a 50 kw generator that was serving 3 buildings on the property, we moved a transformer from its present location to a spot near the generator. We had over 100 yards of trenches on the property. Everything was done well, promptly, neatly, and with consideration of our needs, our property and the costs. We give the highest recommendation to anyone considering these folks.

On 1/31/15 I called eric for an electrical issue in my home. He came out at night and realized that it was a central hudson issue. This man would not leave until Central Hudson came out and fixed the problem. He sat in his car for 2 1/2 hours waiting for Central Hudson in 11 degree weather and did not leave until 1:30 am. This man is very knowledgeable and extremely dedicated to his profession, trustworthy and honest. I can not say enough good things about my experience with him. I was very happy with the installation. Eric and his crew did a nice job and worked with me to keep the costs down. Efficient & neat. You feel confident when the job is done. I highly recommend them. This is an update a year later. I still love my generator and Gen-Plus is trustworthy & does good work, but $225 to tune-up a 1-cylinder engine is a bit ridiculous. My 5-cylinder VW Rabbit only costs $300 for a tune-up and thats at the dealer. And yes, that does include an oil change also.

Had a generator installed by a local electrician several years ago and started having problems. Hired a large generator service firm located in Orange County and had nothing but problems once they touched the generator. Contacted Gen-Plus for some advice and Steve gave me a sanity check and made some suggestions at no charge. I hired Gen-Plus very soon after and never looked back. Steve and Gen-Plus have done a fantastic job and really know what theyre doing!

Had an ant-attack to my generator computer board and fry it. The warning light showed red meaning a complete failure of the generator. Gen-Plus came to the rescue and found the problem, ordered a new circuit board installed it, and replaced the blown fuses. All was back and functioning well in less than a week. Thank you Gen-Plus

My first experience with GenPlus was due a failure of a part, they came,, replaced it, and I expected a bill and when i called to inquire, they said that they had all the info to register the generator, and request the warranty to pay the bill. They come out every fall to service the generator. Everything should be this easy.

He also went above and beyond the call of duty by returning a phone call on July 4th when the power went out and the generator also failed to kick on!

Every spring I have my Generac standby generator serviced by Gen-Plus, Inc. They send me a reminder with an invoice, and when they receive payment, they call and make an appointment. For six years they have always shown up on time; the annual service takes about an hour and costs $243.28, tax included.
