I had been going to Sams Salon for a while because my mom also went there. But since I have more textured hair than my mom, my experiences were often less satisfactory. The last time I went to Sams Salon, I prepared by taking out my braids and moisturizing and detangling the whole day. So when I actually went, my hair was easy to comb through and ready to be washed. Sam washed my hair and ended up tangling it into a mess (I didnt realize until they were finished). When they went to blowdry it, they were perfectly happy to comb through the tangled mess and rip out any knots they found. When I stopped them and told they couldnt rip my hair like that, they told me I had come in like that. I ended up having to go to an old family friend who picked out their knots for 3 hours. I do not recommend this place for anyone with textured hair, as they will not care to have the patience to work with you. I also do not recommend this place in general because of the amount of disrespect Sam displayed that day, even though I had been a regular customer. Never in my life have I been so unrightfully humiliated and I wont soon forget that.

I have natural 3c 4a color treated hair and I went to sams salon because a friend recommended it. They were really quick and I love love loved the deep condition that they did. My hair has never felt so soft, I wasnt to buy it off of them lol. My blow out was great, I was left with no heat damage and when they trimmed it they actually trimmed it. They didnt take off 3 inches, they dusted my hair and it looked fabulous. Id definitely recommend.
