Now I usually do not review things at all but heres a go! So, a friend of mine is getting a haircut here and I meet him to have lunch in Millburn. So he was halfway done with his appointment and already had the haircut when I walked in, when I first saw his hair I did not have an opinion because apparently the product was unfinished. So I waited an hour for them to blow out his hair which should have honestly taken 15 minutes. When they did; he came out looking like Jodi Foster from Elysium; that is not a flattering look for a man; when we voiced our concerns, they told us it took some getting used to. No one ever wants to hear that; if they are not satisfied with the haircut to begin with. It also gave off the vibe of a pushy sales floor, and trust me I work in high end retail; they were using team selling strategies in a salon or luxury environment; that never bodes well. Also, the fact that the esthetician came up to me and asked me whether I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed when I repeatedly told her I get my eyebrows threaded for free, and it was better for skin in general; did not win their team any points. The fact that they also tried to push products and at that point the bill was so high my friend refused the products; and the girl gave him the most dismissing look! He thought he was getting a sample for a shampoo and they wanted to sell him 3 big bottles of product. My advice: Do not push products and assume that people will be happy with your service simply because you think you did a great job!

What a truly amazing experience I had at this salon. I walked in and was transformed by José and Daniela. I was so anxious about this appointment. My hair is ultra fine, thinning and had a horrible cut that every other salon has been afraid to touch. After walking into this gorgeous salon, I was greeted and taken directly to Josés chair. He was so calm and understood my hair concerns. After looking at my hair and face for a few minutes, he knew exactly what he wanted to do with my hair. He told me that just because I had challenging hair, that didnt mean I couldnt have a beautiful cut. He was so confident and unwavering that I felt so at ease. All my anxiousness was gone. A few hours later, José and Daniela transformed my hair into something I never thought possible. I now have a fresh updated haircut and beautiful color!! Daniela is a superstar!! She made sure I understood my new cut and gave me tips on how to create the look at home. If you have challenging hair, make an appointment at this salon! If you can wait a few weeks, book a consultation with José, you will not be disappointed!!! José, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you did for me. You will never know how much it means to me. I am now a regular at the salon and my experience has been the same at each appointment!!

You guys should be ashamed of yourself!!! Pouching from your competitors for personal gain.... You are creating a monster and your practices are not only unprofessional but give salons that work hard a bad name in the industry! If you want to get ahead please work hard, train, motivate, your employees and STOP the pouching!! Stealing employees from your competitors is just not right!!! Oh, I also want to point out that I am not a disgruntled employee, nor am I a salon owner. When I noticed that my hair stylist is now with you and later found out that many other stylist have been taken from other salons, this I find extremely unprofessional and can only say that your practices have no place in the business world.

I live in Los Angeles and am frankly jaded to the whole celeb hairdresser thing, and Jose has been around since the dawn of time (or so it feels like). So I was skeptical when my parents, who live in New Jersey, raved about this new salon. But I was visiting and needed a haircut and Rose was fabulous. The whole salon has a lovely vibe... theyve captured the California airiness without being obnoxious while staying true to their new locale. Short Hills is a great locale. The service was uniformly lovely, gracious, friendly and not pushy. Rose gave me an excellent haircut for a reasonable price. And Ill be going straight back on my next visit. I am notoriously picky about hair salons and this one gets my 5 stars.

Jose Eber is THE BEST salon experience in the NYC metro area. Rose Soliman transformed my hair. Everywhere I go - people ask who cuts & styles my hair - and they flock to Rose. Nicole Dapuzzo is a color master - she does such a great job keeping my natural color - with more shine and better condition than before I had to color. Jordan McCarthy always makes me smile & keeps my hair in great condition. If you never want a bad hair day again go to Jose Eber for the best experience!!!!

The staff at Jose Eber exudes professionalism. To go to a salon for cut and color and be able to sit and just let them start working without hardly saying word is the most comforting thing for me. They know what to do and how to do it better than anyone around. From a dark brunette that has transformed to fully blonde, people think I am naturally blonde thanks to Michaels talent. Yoavs cuts last for months and are easy to style myself at home. Worth every bit.

I followed Johana here and couldnt be happier. The salon is gorgeous and welcoming and makes me feel like Im having a personal spa day each time I walk in. Staff is fun and accommodating. I think the price that I pay is an excellent deal for the quality haircut I get (it honestly tool me 38 years to find a stylist I love) and the overall experience. Its almost a shame my haircuts last as long as they do and I dont get to visit more often.

Jose Eber is a beautiful salon, with a relaxing and chic atmosphere. It is high class all the way. I am thrilled with the haircuts I get there. My hair is thin and difficult to cut and my stylist cuts it right every time. The staff is friendly and helpful. Also, I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes. The salon is beautiful and the staff are professional and talented. I especially appreciate the quality of the color and cut I got from Anthony Morrison, who, although hes kind of a celebrity, is really down to earth & genuine. He must use four different colors to get the natural but glowing look he puts in my hair! I get compliments all the time!
