I struggle with the rating, as consistency is the issue here. This makes me sad as the place started at Excellent, but there has been a big slip in quality over the last year and a half. It seemed to start when they introduced an all-day kindergarten, which they werent ready for (the center has only been open for a few years). Now Id say they are on a trajectory heading toward Poor. Facility is beautiful, most teachers are fantastic, owners are sweet. However, the quality of teaching is not consistent across the age groups, and the administrative side has poor communication - it is unclear what their plans are to address big changes when they occur (and some of the big changes are not announced), or how they plan to maintain/increase teacher quality. They have lost their Director and Assistant Director within the last few months. Great potential, so its worth a look, but they need to get a new experienced director in place to right the course.

Our son was the first infant enrolled in the Berry Patch in 2009. He just finished Kindergarten and was so well adjusted and prepared that his Kindergarten teacher asked where he attended daycare/Pre K. Our second son has been attending the BP since 2012 and I couldnt be more pleased with his progress over the past 3 years. The curriculum is a blend of age appropriate school work and hands on experience. I love the focus on arts and science -the nature trail is a great resource! Ive read some other reviews of the school and having been involved for so long I can honestly say that the staff employed today is the best by far (compared to a few years ago). The team works well together and genuinely likes each other - and it shows in how they work together. To us, the teachers are an extension of our family and are so happy to have them in our lives, teaching and caring for our kids.

The Berry Patch is a wonderful place to grow. My son has attended the Berry Patch for two consecutive years now, and he is more than ready to handle the 2013-2014 Kindergarten curriculum. I am so grateful for the time and effort Ms. Caryn and other Berry Patch teachers have invested in my sons education. Thanks to the school, my son can read with confidence and even understand some basic mathematical concepts. Berry Patch educators move beyond just teaching their students how to read and write; they also promote the type of safe and nurturing learning environment in which any child can excel academically and socially. My son has told me time and again how he loves attending school and how he thinks his teachers are indeed the greatest. Honestly, what more could a parent ask for? I highly recommend the Berry Patch!

My son has been at Berry Patch since he was two. He is now almost five, and he enjoys his time at the school with both his teachers and his peers. Initially we liked the homey feeling of the school in comparison to other children "mills," and our feelings have not changed. We have found the adults there to be caring individuals who work well with children, and my son has found his first friends there. He has looked forward to show and share days, to yoga days, and to other special events--the visit by the fire department, for example. We are looking forward to our sons new year at the school, and we will miss the Berry Patch when he moves on to kindergarten.

After touring over seven schools in the area we chose to send our daughter to the Berry Patch. It was by far the cleanest facility with the friendliest staff. It was really important to us that our daughter would receive an education not just have play time and they provided a structured schedule of leaning activities. The teachers are wonderful and keep us informed of our daughters progress, ways to be involved and upcoming events. Her social skills have vastly improved and she looks forward to going to school and loves her teacher Mrs.Pam!

We just moved back to the area and hadnt really researched the daycare before we decided on Berry Patch. The website and the credentials looked good. And we were right! The staff are *very* professional and *very* friendly. The daycare is huge, in the sense that the interior is big enough, bright and fun and safe...and it has an enclosed backyard play area which is large..and access to the woods, where they sometimes do nature walks, etc. We are very happy with Berry Patch and would recommend it to anyone.

Berry Patch has been my childs second home for the past four years, and not for one second did we do regret our decision to send him there. Every head teacher he had, Miss Betsy, Miss Pam and Miss Karyn were patient, caring and loved the kids they were entrusted to. My son started kindergarten this year and he is more than prepared to start the new phase of his life. I am very happy that my son and our family got to be a part of the Berry Patch family. I highly recommend The Berry Patch.

I ended up leaving this school. No consistency. The Director left. The preschool classroom has no consistency. My child learned nothing. When I questioned the school about what she would be learning in the coming year I could tell they didnt know. At least the Director would have given me the time of day. Our time there started out so promising, but ended up being a disappointment.

This place is going down hill fast. The Director, whom was wonderful, no longer works there. Ever since she left it seems more unorganized and a little less caring. The children are no longer the first priority. The person in charge now does not seem to know what she is doing. I hope they can pull it together in the next few weeks or I will be leaving the school.
