I find Rambling Pines to be a very nurturing and supportive environment for our children. I have always felt that my children are in safe and loving hands when they are at this camp. My three kids always come off the bus with a smile on their faces and some exciting story to share. Even my most introverted child can’t wait to get back the very next day! For the last three years my children have had amazing summers, amazing counselors and made amazing friends. Last year, my son even invited some to his birthday party. This is the son who did not want to go to camp at first and from day one that first year he was given the support and extra TLC he needed! Rambling Pines is a place to literally dream big—try new things, gain confidence in their abilities, expand their horizons with new people and feel supported and encouraged. Everything is modern yet it’s in this beautiful rustic setting. I love the variety of classes to choose from and each week has a different theme. My children, ages 4, 8, and 12 have always felt challenged by the activities, swim program and level of sports. There are activities for the artistic and the hands-on learner too. The staff, counselors and constant communication—all amazing and top notch. Their counselors really encouraged them to overcome fears and try new things. My children really bond with them every year and there are lots of high fives and hugs at the end of the day. The staff is clearly hand-picked to meet the owners very high standards. I feel that Rambling Pines is a well-rounded camp that works hard to meet with needs of each camper. My kids are always sad to leave and look forward to returning every year. My oldest just told me the other day that her goal is to be a junior counselor one day!

As a counsellor, I can say that this camp is a lot of fun to work at. However, it is a terrible job to make money at, especially if you are under 18. The Jordans (head of camp) have this thing called "junior counsellors", a title given to those working at 16 and 17 as group counsellors. It is basically their ticket to saving money and they purposely hire a lot of them for that reason. Let me break down the numbers for you: New Jersey currently has a minimum wage of $8.38, however they pay first time junior counsellors $600 for 8 weeks. Roughly $17 a day or $2.50 an hour for 7 hours. For second time junior counsellors, the pay is $900. A whopping $300 dollar difference. How do they get away with it? Because it is a "salary" job, not hourly. Now, Im not completely bashing on the camp for its lack of pay, because at least it is pay. At 16 and 17 it can be very difficult to find a job, and if you do, its probably because subway hired you. It also looks great on college apps to show that you worked in a place of leadership. However, this is where I am truly frustrated: After having worked 8 weeks, with roughly 15 kids total. I got just about $100 in tips. And I only got them from 3 kids. Clearly many parents dont realize how little counsellors make. I understand the camp is very expensive, but for a counsellor, to see a kid leave and not get any sort of thank you from the parents for the hard work is truly an upset. Anyways, the camp is a lot of fun for the kids and counsellors and is a great way to spend your summer. Side Note: The camp takes cuts in other places too. I heard the kitchen gave out 4 week old pizza because they ran out of meatball subs. And all the fishing poles are at least 10 years old and are all completely broken.

Im in my 30s and remember my own fun summers at Rambling Pines. Both my children go there (3 & 7) and they absolutely love it. They come home with huge smiles on their faces and a lot of excitement about the day whether it was golfing, mountain surfing, fishing, horse-back, tennis, swimming, etc. The bus service is a huge bonus for me as the pick and and drop off door to door. This camp is family run and a has great professional staff that keep parents aware of what is going on with their Facebook updates and newsletters with pictures on the website. I never had anything but good experiences with the enthusiastic councelors. I know my kids are safe there and the nurse is very attentive. They provide a variety in their meals and are sensitive to food allergies so no need to pack lunch. As long as they want to keep going I cant think of a better place to send my kids to camp.

I can attest to the quality of service this camp provides. You will get your moneys worth, thanks in part to a stellar crew who give it their all (every day I was there, at least). a family-run business who genuinely care about the business theyve built over the years, its a 200+ acre facility with amenities that include (but not limited to:) 4 pools, fishing ponds, hiking trails, mini golf course, archery, mountain biking, rock-wall and ropes course and much more. The property is beautiful and truely a diamond in the rough due to the maintenance staffs meticulous attention to detail and overall combined skill. If you have kids who like to swim, or paint, or play basketball or tennis, hike/climb, or just like to try new activities while being outside with peers, this place is for you... Yes! its that good and no I was not paid to say anything about the camp lol

All three of my kids love this camp! It is family run and my kids feel like they are part of a big family when they are there. My daughter has been going for 5 years. She has great summer friends from Rambling Pines and has enjoyed all the amazing activities they offer. My sons loved the sports offered and of course the swimming program is excellent! If you are looking for an amazing summer experience for your children, this is an excellent choice!

I work at Rambling Pines and my children attend. This will be our fourth year. I can say, as an insider, that the camp is awesome! Great swimming lessons, and every activity from golf, to gymnastics, music, tons of sports...something for everyone. Kids learn responsibility and look forward to spending the summer with their "camp friends". Great place run by great people.

Our son absolutely loves Rambling Pines. In our area, you either know someone who went there, or whose kids went there, or still go there. Everyone says the same thing about the camp and the family that runs it. They are professional, attentive, and really do care about your child and family. No question were going back every year!

Our daughter loved camp! The bus pick-up and drop-off is door to door and everyone from the bus driver to the camp counselors were great. Were heading back for our 2nd summer.

I went to the Jordan Day school in 77-78 at Rambling Pines, yes it was a school during the winter months, I guess it was something Dr Jordan started
