I went to this place and got completely ripped off. I drop my truck off on a Monday for a tranny leak. Called me Tuesday saying that they need to bring it down and look at it more which I approved the $700 fee to drop it and open it up. Nick called me on Wednesday saying that the tranny needs to be rebuild and that it would be $2200 (not a bad price), then he was telling me that this and that and this and that needed to be replaced as well. That added to be $2900. Really dude? Give me one price then another. After we finished talking about how much that entire job would cost including the warranties, we talked about payment options and how I needed to increase the limit on my credit card to get the job done and that I would call him back. Nick decided to take that whole convo as a "yes start the tranny job." ARE YOU SERIOUS DUDE! Just because we talked about the prices and warranties doesnt mean I want you to start the work. Every time I talked about taking the truck and just pay the $700 diag fee he got mad and switch things around on me to con me to keep the truck there. Then after I called him back and we fought on the phone he stated, "come down to the store listen to the convo if you didnt approve the work I will do it for free if not I will charge you DOUBLE!" What an scumbag and con artist. Customer is always right no matter what. So when everything was all said and done I am out $1000 for work I didnt even want to do. Do Not Go Here, You Have Been Warned.

Went in, quoted $1870 for a trans rebuild. Wasnt told the truth that theyre typically $3300 for my model trans. Then it had a leak instantly after it was rebuilt, had to warranty that. After the leak was fixed, the car was out of alignment. Im not talking a little, this was severe. Service manager gave me a hard time about getting it aligned, even though they ruined it.(dropping the subframe on FWD cars can put a car out of alignment). Their rebuilder clearly does not check the trans dip stick after he rebuilds, and also clearly doesnt test drive after he fixes something. The rebuilder also claimed that the wheel speed sensor was affecting the transmission, which it has nothing to do with. Im not complaining about that, because they replaced the hub and fixed the wire for free, which was nice. But only after they realized they messed up. They tried selling me on the fact that the wheel speed sensor was bad, and that it was telling the transmission the wrong things, which is a lie. So I cant say if it was an honest mistake on their end, or they were trying to pull one over on me. Theyll always quote you on the best case scenario; not the honest scenario, like Joe H said. Honesty is key in the repair industry; obviously not a priority with these people. I was very patient with them, too. Did my best to remain professional despite the lack of honesty with them.

I would recommend this AAMCO to anyone in need of auto repairs. My first experience with them was fantastic. Vince, one of the managers, was straight up with me and very honest, a man of his word that made me feel comfortable, I could tell that he cared and wasnt out to just get my money, I took my 2002 Yukon XL in for the Transfer Case Service Light, they fixed it and gave me a great price, even gave me a discount when I told him I was on Social Security Disability. I was surprised they did more then just transmission work, they are a complete auto care facility, and their prices are much better then the dealers. I now have my 2005 Honda Civic there for an electrical problem and the SRS light is also on, I have complete confidence in the service they provide, and know they will not charge me for parts or services i do not need, something many shops do, just trying to figure out what the problem is. This shop properly diagnoses the problem and fixes it, they dont waste their time, or your money, trying to fix the problem and they do great work. Im glad i took my Yukon to them, Vince is a great guy, and they have me as a customer for life.

I gave my car for diagnosing the problem related to P1456 & P 1457 codes on 05/03/2014. On 05/05/2014, I was told that the problem is with the Solenoid Bypass valve and it needs to be fixed which I approved. I was charged $411.88 for the service. After I picked up my car and drove around 20 miles, the check engine light came back on with error code P1457. I took the car back again and after 2-3 days, they told me that there is no problem and they gave me the car after resetting the CEL light. Again after driving less than 20 miles, the CEL came back with P1457. I took the car back to them on 05/31/14 and let it be there till 06/20/14 and they havent given me a proper answer yet. The answer they came up with was that there is a leak in the system but they cant exactly locate it. On 06/20/14, they told me that I need to replace my battery for which they want to charge me additional amount of money. These people are not experts to handle any autos and would try to swindle your money with out fixing the real problem. The fix they did was totally unnecessary. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

I came in to AAMCO because I wanted a second opinion about some repair work that I was told was needed from another repair shop not to far away from here. Funny thing is...the other shop started to get a little nervous when I said I would be back after I asked around about the worked they said I needed. Anyway, I came into AAMCO and didnt say anything about the other shop to see what they came up with. So, after the diagnostic test and a examination from the mechanic at AAMCO, I was informed of the work needed. The results were just as I thought. Ignition coil failure bank 2 sensor 2. So I decided to stay and have the work done here. The other shop had a long list of stuff . I like a honest repair shop not one that is giving me a honey do list. Thanks AAMCO for being trustworthy.

I had an appointment set up for repair work at a different repair shop not to far from Aamco. When I arrived (on time) I was told that one of the workers had called in sick, so everything was running 2 to 3 hours behind schedule. I was really upset because I was on my lunch break and wanted to drop the car off and pick it up at the end of the day. I was told that my car wouldnt be ready until the next day. I left totally frustrated and decided to pull into Aamco to see if they could help me with my Ignition coil problem. Aamco was able to fix my car the same day and also quoted me a price for the repair work that was much lower than the other place. I have now found my new repair shop. Thanks Aamco, you just earned a new customer.
