The food was descent, but the service was horrible. Host was professional but the waitress Olivia and the girl who was bartending were not. I went with a friend there for dinner for his birthday. We drove an hour from PA since he wanted good Mexican and I was there many years ago and liked the food and atmosphere. My friend ordered a regular margarita. He didnt order a premium tequila. I asked for a mojito and the waitress told me they dont make them. Yet they have mint on their menu in food recipes and Im sure they carry rum and simple syrup. I used to bartend as you can see. So I said the bartender probably doesnt know how to make it and Im sure I can tell her how. The waitress insisted they just dont make them. I said fine, so I ordered a long Island iced tea. Again another drink that the simplest bar will be able to have all the liquors rum, triple sec, vodka, gin and tequila sour mix and coke. I knew before she set it on the table it was not what I ordered. It had no coke and had only o.j. plus had over kill on the alcohol. I could barely taste the o.j. I told her take it off and bring me a non alcoholic ice tea. She comes back with that but then the bartender comes out herself apologizing with yet another drink she claimed to be a long Island iced tea and that people had been ordering long islands all night with o.j. That is a Florida tea not a long island. This one again had way too much alcohol. Tasted like she poured about 4-5oz of alcohol when it should of been 2-2.5oz depending if they add the tequila. Which would have been fine the hurricane glassware used. My friend was getting upset so I didnt complain but I couldnt drink it either. The waitress said nothing when she handed over the bill and saw the drink hadnt been touched. The bill comes and she didnt charge for the non alcoholic drink but she did charge for the other and she also gave my friend a golden margarita which is a premium liquor up charge for a special margarita which is not what he ordered. Needless to say, I will not be returning even for the food. Too many other Mexican places that will not try to pad the bill with alcohol charges trying to get a bigger tip. If it wasnt for my friend getting upset on his birthday, I certainly would have taken it all up with the manager.

Stopped here today for lunch and will never return! Place was dirty, as soon as we sat down we noticed my husbands plate had food stuck on it so we asked for another plate, waitress gave us a new plate which was also DIRTY! The utensils were dirty. We should have just walked out then because when we got our food it was barely edible. My daughter loves rice n beans but she took one bite and said it didnt taste good and wouldnt touch it. Their rice doesnt taste like rice at all, its mushy and has the look and consistency of couscous! I have Mexican food quite often and know what its supposed to taste like, this was horrible and the food isnt cheap, dropped $40 on two lunches n side of rice n beans, the waitress didnt even question when she took almost 3 full plates of food from our table before leaving. We arent from this area but checked the reviews on here and thought it would be good. Dont believe the good reviews, the health department should be called because the restaurant is so dirty, I cant imagine what the kitchen looks like!

I have been going to this restaurant for about 6-7 years. Some may argue that it is "more tex-mex than mexican" or whatever. What I like is great food and they have it. First, one of the biggest catalysts (in my opinion) for being a good mexican (or tex-mex) restaurant is how good their chips and salsa are. This place does NOT disappoint. They will bring out two salsas for you. ONe is sweeter tasting and the other is spicy. However, if you ask them for their green salsa, it is AMAZING!! It is nice and spicy as well and they have great chips too. The house salad is great too. It is shredded lettuce, carrots, homemade cheese, and other vegetables that are put in separate piles on the plate so that you can pick-and-choose what goes in the salad. BE SURE TO ASK FOR THE HOUSE CELANTRO DRESSING. AMAZING!! Really everything that I have picked in the past for entrees have been great. I love their Chicken Flautas, their shrimp enchiladas, regular beef tacos. Their rice and black beans are also very tasty. This place is a must-try!

I live in the South and know how Mexican food should taste – even the not so good places are decent or even good but this place had it all wrong. I ordered the Cancun plate (two tacos, one enchilada, rice, beans, and guacamole salad). The cheese enchiladas were made with either ricotta or cottage cheese, the salsa tasted like Pace Picante sauce out of a jar and the meat and seasoning in the tacos had a distinctly awful taste. My husband ordered chicken fajitas – it was a strangely grilled chicken breast (possibly pan grilled or fried) cut into two pieces… on a bed of mostly slimy and barely grilled peppers and onions. For $ 35.00, I expected much more. They are excessively over-priced and do not have a clue how to cook real Mexican food. Yuck. Do not waste your time, money, or appetite. On another bad note, as soon as we walked in, the place smelled very bad – like a mixture of B/O and sour carpet. On a good note, the service was great, and the rice and beans were spot on perfect!

One of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever been to, poorly executed salsa when we were seated, with a basket of chips that they charged for. ordered a salad, with blue cheese dressing (there was no mexican house dressing). salad was a micro plate divided into piles of shredded lettuce, carrot shavings, 2 grape tomatoes and a small pile of shredded cheese. the accompanying dressing was a runny concoction that tasted like sour cream with a hint of blue cheese funk. I love a wide range of blue cheese dressings from those so thick they take a fork to coax onto the salad to some phenomenal blue cheese vinaigrettes, and this was nothing like blue cheese dressing. Enchiladas were bland and uninspired. During lunch there was an employee alternately smoking just away from our table and climbing the patio wall to bail muddy water out of a planter and stuff potted plants into said planter. Overall would not recommend.

Nice decor. Was hoping to have a good experience based on the look of the place. Had grilled pork tacos that seemed to be roasted pork loin run through a deli slicer, then chopped up on the grill like the meat in a Philly cheese steak. The meat tasted like it was seasoned with liquid smoke. The dipping sauces that accompanied the tacos were hot and super hot. The two kinds of salsa that came with chips before the meal could be described as "just okay" and weird-and-not-so-good. Ive eaten Mexican food in the southwest, and I have eaten at all the local chains that serve Mexican food. This place was the worst.
