I had scratches on my car from a guy who used a snow blower and scraped the front, right side and rear of my car. Allstate recommended Compact as a preferred shop and guaranteed their work. They told me they could match paint to my hood and couldnt. They charged me $1300 to paint my hood to match. They did not honor their original agreement. They worked on my passenger side door and caused the window not to go down after they took it apart. The owner of the shop tried to blame the regulator(I think that was it), but they replaced it and the owner acted like he was doing me a favor because the regulator was already bad, but it didnt fix the problem so obviously the regulator wasnt the problem. They tried to several times to fix my window and when they finally got it to go up it had a small gap at the top and needed to be adjusted so it would close all the way. The best they could do is get it close enough to rattle constantly on anything but a really smooth road. The shop owner told me my car was the car from hell, but it wasnt before his team worked on it and the window issues didnt exist until his team worked on it. Allstate let me take it to "Al Meschi Auto Body" in Highland Park, NJ and it was fixed that day. It took almost 2 years to get the problem resolved. Although the staff was very pleasant the owner was not very hospitable and when his team created a problem with my car that wasnt there before, he didnt want to accept responsibility and spoke to me in a condescending way. He seemed to be trying to blame the car for its problem when it was the bad service that was the first problem and the poor customer service by the owner himself which was the next problem. Nobodys perfect, but when you make a mistake in business, or in life you should do the right thing and accept responsibility for it and do whatever it takes to fix it. You dont blame other people. I would have respected being told we screwed up, but were going to fix it. I have NO respect for someone who tries to blame somebody else for their mistake. No Respect!

My Honda Odyssey met an accident in NJ in Feb 2014 and when I contacted geico they told me I can chose any collision center. Since im new to NJ and found about this repair center from google. I thought they are certified Honda collision center so they might do the repair properly. I told them clearly that plz only use original parts and do the repair properly as geico will pay everything . The total bill was more than 17000$, but much to my surprise I noticed today the back side bumber was not fixed properly and it was popping out of the body of my van. I took it to my honda dealer and they said they used all after market frames including side sliding door. So they cant do anything that I need to contact them. Now I cant make rounds to them with my car as I live in Upstate NY which is 500 miles from repair center. These ppl have cheated me clearly by using after market parts even though I told them to use original parts. And the fixing is also not properly done after keeping the vehicle for one month with 17k bill. I never recommend to any one. Please always go through with repair center that is preferred by your insurance company but not by seeing this certified honda dealer or certified toyota dealer. You may not get proper repair done.

Best All-Around Body Shop in all of Monmouth County.. I unfortunately had an accident with my Black Mercedes 550... I hit a deer at 115mph.. The front bumper,headlight,hood and radiator were all wrecked..My check engine light and all lights were flashing like a Christmas tree!! Anyone who knows anything about body work, knows how difficult it is to paint and match a black car flawlessly... I was hesitant at first.. I knew the headlight was expensive.. You cant trust anybody nowadays... I had a bad experience with a different local body shop, using non oem parts but charging me for oem..A month later my Bentleys headlight was discoloring and the body shop tried giving me a song and a dance.. Long story short.. Compact completely fixed all the electronics, no engine light ever csme back on.. The paint job they did was pristine.. 100% flawless... Never in my life have I ever seen work like this... I decided to bring my Daughters BMW for body work.. Rear quarter panal... They did such a great job that I would recommended this place to anyone looking for The best work around.// Thank You GuyS!!!!!

It is never fun to be involved in an auto accident. Fortunately, mine did not involve personal injury. But the drivers side door was completely smashed in. The insurance company referred me to Compact Auto Body. When I first walked into the office, I was impressed with all the award plaques on the wall, like going into a doctors office and seeing all his credentials on the wall. That gave me some reassurance that I was dealing with a very reputable shop. I got an estimate that showed that everything involved with the damage would be repaired. When I picked my car up about a week later, I was very impressed with the quality of the repair. Everything was perfect. I was really happy that the insurance company had steered me to Compact Auto. You might find someplace thats cheaper, but I doubt if the quality of their work would come close to matching Compact Auto. I hope I wont need any more auto repair work done, but if I do, I will definitely go back to Compact Auto. If you need body repair work done, I would encourage that you check them out. Yesterday I drove my car off the curb. The front bumper popped out. I stopped at Compact Auto Body on the way home from work today (thank God we havent needed their services in a while but they have been our go-to shop for decades). The man in the office was very pleasant. I was concerned about the cost and the time that might be involved to fix it. He had someone look at it and he said he could fix it right then and there. Half an hour later, my car was as good as new and the price was right. Highly recommend Compact Auto Body.

I couldnt be more pleased with the job Compact Auto Body did with painting my car. I have a fairly old German car, and the paint was starting to show its age, especially with the clear-coat beginning to peel. Compact was able to match the color perfectly and the quality of the work they did was exemplary. The price was really reasonable, especially for the excellent quality of their work, and the staff was exceptionally professional, friendly and helpful. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them for any and all auto body and paint work!

Compact auto body in Matawan New Jersey is the best car repair shop hands down! Kudos to Mr. Jason who immediately assisted me and is very knowledgeable plus very friendly! He delivered me a good and fast service on my BMW car the same day though I am a walked in client. Their staff specially Ms. Tery and Mr. Gary are super friendly and accomodating. Their office is clean and presentable also. Definitely worth recommending this shop to all! Congrats for a job well done!
