I went here on a really busy day when all the kids were there getting their hair done before they returned back to school. When I walked in, the receptionist was chatting with a guy who worked there for like a minute before she even addressed me (it appeared to be a personal conversation that could have waited). She gave me a quick hi and looked at me as if to ask if she could help me. I told her why I was there and she quickly pointed me to an area in the back to have a seat. When I asked for clarification (because there were so many empty seats and she couldt even stand up to show me where to go) she seemed annoyed and pointed her finger in a hard way and said "there." I looked at her as if to ask "are you okay? but she did not even look at me. When I went in to sit down, there was another lady who worked there that had told me to move down after a minute of sitting there. She did not say hi or anything. I asked her if she was MiMi my hairdresser), she said "no" in a way like she didnt even want to talk to me. I was then really annoyed because Im thinking this is my first time here and you all just treat me like Im bothering you, but Im paying my money!! The owner did come out to greet me, I told him how rude the receptionist was. He did not offer an apology, instead he made excuses for her saying "oh its just cause shes pregnant and thats a hard job up there and were so busy." Umm excuse you, since when is busy a bad thing? How dare you make excuses for your terrible employees. Dont you know the customer is always right? What a bad business owner. Although MiMi did a good job on my hair, I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!! Busy my behind! Thats no excuse to be rude. Smh at how sloppy blacks folks are with their business. If youre going to have your business based off of a bible verse, you should at least act Christ-like. Never going back there again!!!

I truly wish I could rate this salon 0 stars. I was so happy to see all of the great reviews but apparently they are all false! I visited this salon for the second time on July 15. My friends wedding was the next day so I needed my hair done. I went in for a semi-permanent and to get it straightened. I am natural and I have been all my life. My hair is curly and actually pretty easy to manage. The girl put in a clariol semi-permanent and she had me sit under the dryer. I found out later when I fixed my hair in August that the bottle CLEARLY says process at ROOM TEMPERATURE. So guess what? It came out way too dark to match the clip ins I made. The owner/manager had her put some lightening shampoo and after like 30 minutes of the trying to fix it, my hair was like 4 different shades of brown. It was already so processed that she couldnt even redo it because I didnt want to damage it anymore. Then she straightened my hair and used so much heat and tugged so much. She was obviously frustrated and tired because we were the last ones in the salon. Long story short I have so much damage all over my hair. My curls are no longer as tight and I have straight pieces all over my head. If you are natural I advise that you AVOID THIS SALON AT ALL COSTS. They clearly have untrained stylists that do not care if they damage your beautiful hair. Needless to say I will not be going back. Youve been warned...

Visions is an EXCELLENT hair salon. First, I am originally from Philly--so I know about long waits, people being unprofessional and not getting what you want. I have Never experienced this at Visions. I usually go on Saturdays and although it is a busy environment---people are getting in and out. The owner Bernard is very friendly, and he is constantly watching things, greeting people, and making sure you are comfortable. Mimi does my hair--perfect every time. I have thick long hair and I dont get perms. She is a master with natural hair, which is the real test of your skills. My two children also get their hair done by Nyeema and Sharay. They always do a great job and neither one of my girls have perms. Both of them are personable with the children and they care about the health of their hair. I have only had personal experiences with these three---but my girlfriend swears by Tisha. I have also observed Keosha and Tisha and all of their clients always look top notch. They also have a young lady(I cant think of her name) but she is a beast with the clippers and short hair...All of her clients look FAB like they stepped out of a magazine...haha

Someone recommended this place to me so I thought Id try it and I was extremely satisfied. So much so, I have been going back ever since. I was told they are very quick which is a good thing because we all know how horrible black salons usually are at making you wait hours and hours just for a simple wash and style EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT!!! Visions is a testament to how the Black salon business should be done. You other salons should take notes. They are extremely professionally and courteous. I have never had an appointment an as soon as I walk in Im greeted very cordially at the door. Right away they take you back to get started. Usually within 5 minutes of being there Im under the sink getting my hair washed. Fast forward 45 minutes to an hour later and Im in my car on my way. Their motto is they can get you in and out within 2 hours and they keep their promise. They accomplish this by streamlining the entire process. There are a lot of talented stylists working there all of whom have their own specialty. I highly recommend going there

I choose this salon because when I searched my area for a salon they all had bad reviews this is the one & only salon that had excellent reviews, every single review is excellent so I made an appt. Well I walked and I was a little out of place being the only (although native american indian) caucasian in the place. Well that soon ended because from the time I walked in the door until I left out the door I was treated like a queen, the owner Bernard was very gracious and DeAnna my stylist did wonders with my hair! I havent had this good of hair cut since I was in my early 20s back home, and Im 50 now! I have 12 FaceBook public pages with all combined over a million readers and I will be singing the praises of Visions Hair Salon on every one of them! Thank you DeAnna & Bernard, I will be back!

I don"t usually get my hair done (straight) but I love color. Places I have gone to before have done great color but fail when it comes to flattening my hair lol. My good friend told me about them, so i decided to give it a whirl. The atmosphere was awesome, they sell the coolest bags- I dont carry a purse, but I would buy one if I did! and the hair products are up to date and awesome. MIMI, was who I went to- let me tell you all!! She is the best, she colors my hair and it always turns out great and flattens my hair...I will never go anywhere else! The prices are great, I am telling you, if your thinking about going- please do. Everyone is friendly and the music they play rocks...the crew is always singing and laughing. I walk out feeling great. MIMI is a miracle worker!! hands down.
