I think that the woman Shara that cut my hair over there has no training what so ever. I came in for a trim, and specifically asked her to take off 1.5 inches in the back and 1 inch in the front. As she was cutting my hair she said she wanted to refresh my layers, and che chopped off 3 inches of my hair in the front, and left one long uneven strand on each side. So now I have long thin strand in the front, then extremely shortened hair that creates a hole, then long hair. I was literally in tears after going to this place, and after going to Dellaria Salon I was told that theres nothing I can do except let it grow out. It wasnt just a cut that I didnt like, it was a disaster because of an absolutely unskilled hairdresser. Now, as far as customer service goes, the italian lady who is probably the owner didnt apologize, the hairdresser didnt apologize, the jut argued that they did what I told them, and if I didnt like it I should not come back. I was literally yelled at and told to not speak badly of my hair in front of other customers. Finally, it seems that they try and keep cash off the books, so the didnt give a receipt at first, and when I asked for one she scratched it out in pencil on a back of Citizen Bank deposit slip. I think Better Business Bureau is my next stop

I always look for cheap haircuts and quick haircuts with no small talk. I keep my standards extremely low because I go to cheap places because I know not to expect a brilliant haircut, so it doesnt take much for the person cutting my hair to make it worth the cheap price. But at this place, I had, by far, the worst haircut experience. I have given myself better haircuts (had no money in college). In fact, I can bet you that a random person off the street would do a better job. All he did was the sides with the machine and then on the top, took literally about 15 seconds with the scissors (Im not exaggerating). Im all for quick haircuts but not this (he took less than 5 mins). There was no care to make anything even, or to shape the hair in any way. I have never appreciated a place like Fantastic Sams (and similar) more - the amount of effort they put-in compared to this place is extraordinary. I think the person they have hired has had no training in haircuts. Im wondering if they were short staffed and just asked a friend to fill in. The only good thing is that he said nothing, no small talk. I absolutely dislike small talk, but Ill bear it if it means Ill get a haircut worth the $16, which like I said before, doesnt require much effort.

What an absolute gem! The value is fantastic, given that a mens haircut runs for only $16, comes with a free cleanup after a week or two, and has a rewards program to give you a discount on every 6th haircut. They take walk-ins, are open Sundays, and are amazingly quick even with a long line of people. Keep in mind that they are cash only. The décor is warm and sunny and the space is clean, comfortable, and pleasant both while waiting and getting hair cut. Sophia in particular is incredibly sweet and is wonderfully skilled at being able to listen to your feedback and give you a perfect cut. This will be my salon of choice as long as Im in Boston.

Sophia is a wizard. I have very thick hair that requires thinning every time I cut it. This usually involves a razor blade or thinning shears, which are uneven. Sophia has a method with the electric shears that does a fantastic job every time. She is the only person that cuts my hair in Boston.

I needed a haircut in a pinch and was passing through Harvard Square. I was skeptical that a $16 haircut wouldnt be great. Sophia gave me one of the better cuts ever and was incredibly friendly and appreciative of my business. Ill go out of my way to go back again in a few months.

Im new to town- was looking to get a nice cut for an office job. Im completely happy with the cut Fred gave me. Also I was in & out super fast, I had no appt and finished up in less than 30 minutes. Mens cut is 16, and its cash only.

Excelent service. The stylists were very friendly and gave me one of the best haircuts Ive ever had. They listen very well, understand and seem to have alot of experience. Would totally recomend! PS: amazig prices!
