Update to my review below!! I went back today, ten days after my visit I describe below. This time with my wifes car -- a Mercedes GL -- with a slow leak. Jesse and his team remembered be and thanked me for the review below. They took the car in, found a simple nail puncture that needed a patch. They patched it and had me on my way. I wont tell you what they charged me -- lets just say that these guys understand how to delight a customer and cement a relationship. Any issue -- ANY issue -- I have with either my Porsche or my Mercedes, Im bringing it back here. It can take you a lifetime to find a service shop you can truly trust -- well, Ive only been in NYC three years, and Ive found mine. Here is my previous review: I found Newark Car Care from its google+ reviews so I knew it was going to be good. But, I was not ready for exactly HOW good it is. I took my Porsche 911 in to change out all my tires. Jesse ordered my tires a day in advance of my coming in (without charging my card -- he took the risk I wouldnt show). When I came in and he saw that my rear wheels were non-standard and that he had the wrong tires for the job, he sent one of his guys to the warehouse to get four new matching tires of the right size. Within an hour, they were on and looking great. But what was really special is how honest a business man Jesse is. An honest mistake in tire size cost him more money, but he stuck with his original quote and ate the difference himself. I offered to pay him for the difference because it was really my mistake for not knowing my wheel size, but he wouldnt take my money. Then, even better, I showed him a check engine light that my Manhattan Porsche dealer wanted to spend $3000 fixing. Jesse knew the problem -- a dirty oxygen sensor. He fixed it for free. Are you kidding me? If I had gone to Manhattan Porsche I would have been charged $5,000 for the tire change and oxygen sensor. Instead, Jesse rings me up for a little over $1,000. I couldnt be happier than to find an honest business man in the Newark tire changing industry. Youre the real deal, Jess. Thanks.

Years back I took my Cadillac there to be looked at for smoke coming from the hood close to the windshield, when I got there they told me I needed a transmission, I asked how much they told me 2500.00 I said ok test drive it and get back to me Im going to work and Ill be back..my pops told me to put something under the tire to make sure they drive it, I came back 8hrs later and my car was still in same spot I left it, with the juice can still in position..my pops came up there and looked at my car with the mechanic and my pops asked the mechanic come take a ride wit me and we went to auto zone bought a 5dollar thermostat and my car was well on its way and I didnt need a transmission until 5years later and I paid 1500 for the transmission and the caddy lasted me another 5years...this place is only good for oil changes and thats it but make sure they reset ur oil level on ya computer. And also they will fix what u need done and then mess up something else while doing it and blame you when u come back...I gave this place many chances ..All I can say to the people out there is do your homework and get different opinions from different people and different mechanics cause their jobs is to rob u and what I mean by that is mess your car up so u can keep coming back..we dont have too many honest mechanics now a days unless its a older guy working out his garage or backyard they take care of you its just the timing isnt great for all of us...

Bad experience first and last time. When to this placed , to check my ac. Before of that I replaced the engine of my car. So my ac of course dont have any freon on the sister of course. When I get there a guy called Steve made a diagnostic on my ac sistem. And he said that my car need a new ac low presure hose. So after put the machine for check for any leaks machine dont detect anything wrong. He start to mess with the valve of the hose telling me it was bad. he take back all the gas . I went to my friend that he a honest mechanic. And surprised no leaks nothing. When back Monday morning and explain to the manager whats going on. He refused to return my money. I told him that if not return my money they are stealing from me. He called another of his employees check the car and tell him that he doesnt see anything wrong. Big scamers dont recommend this place stay away they are thieves .

Ok I just had my car repaired there last month, and here what I can say about the center. The staff are ok to deal with but my main issue is the parts price and the labor. VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE parts and labor charges, I have no idea why the prices are up in the sky. After a service for $924 I check online and with other auto-mechanics to my suprise the parts are almost 2 to 3 times are higher and labor about 45% more compared to other auto-shops. I couldve easily saved $400, I know because I did the math. Lesson learned I shall never EVER visit Newar Car Care. Wait did i mention they didnt change my oil and filter after paying for them, oops they actually forgot and I thought my engine was dirty but no the job was dirty. Learn from others and dont be a fool.

This place is a rip off. went there one time to get a simple oil change. there attention to detail is very horrible. they forgot to put back my engine cap. i didnt realize it for several days. So i took the care back to them and wanted s new engine cap and they say it wasnt there fault. Another time my car broke down i took my ride there to check out the problem. they told what the issuse was and how much it was going to cost. after finding out the price i was like heck no! and decided to take the car else where. when i ask to use there phone they told me it didnt work. Took my car else where and paid half of what the crooks wanted to charge!

These people literally saved my life. I was incredibly late for a meeting when my car over heated and and I was near Newark Car Care-- i pulled in --saw guy at front desk-- and even though they were really busy they still had time to see my car and tell me what was wrong..they even gave me a ride to my meeting in a mini van they have just for customers--wow-- after i returned they fixed the issue after a small wait and i was on my way-- Thanks guys.. the TV and cold water station in waiting room made it possible to get through that hot day-- I would just suggest perhaps a snack station or something :-)
