Poor quality work and unethical business owner. I took my 2010 BMW there to get an estimate on the front air dam and was given a written estimate of $195.57. I felt this was an error and seemed to low of an amount and called and asked two separate times if this was 100% accurate. Both times I was told, yes that the quote was accurate. I agreed to have them perform the work and dropped off the vehicle. When I came to pay and pick up the vehicle, I was told by Henry Cox that I owed them $918.76. I was shocked and disturbed by this charge and showed them my original estimate and they just gave me a blank look and said that it was more and that there was a miscommunication. I had just opened a local business in Pompton Lakes which Henry knew about and was concerned that since I wasnt originally from the area and we were trying to establish ourselves that it wasnt worth the fight and losing potential business so I reluctantly paid the higher amount. Some weeks later I had my vehicle detailed at Prestige BMW and they told me I had white overspray on my black surface. My eyesight is poor and I didnt pick up on it following the work but when I looked closely in the right light with glasses, my entire car did in fact have white overspray on it. (little white dots). I dont paint at home and my vehicle is always garaged and was never in a place other than Central Park Auto Body where this could have occurred. So, adding insult to injury I overpaid for a job that now has my entire car covered with white paint. I will never go back to this business and dont recommend that you do either. I just realized that I cannot write more than one review. Prior to the work done on my BMW, Henry also worked on drivers side damage on my Fiancés 2012 Honda Civic. Since we never drove her car on the highway, we didnt know until moving to California that there is tremendously loud wind noise and harmonic vibration coming from the driver’s window at 65-70 MPH. Also, the drivers rear door lock actuator doesnt function so when you lock the car with the master switch or key fob, it stays unlocked. My advice is never take your car here and instead go to a dealer owned shop. I am not saying the work quality is that much better but at least if you complain, you will get it escalated and resolved. Dealing with a small single private location is not in your best interest.
