I wish i could give it 0 stars but there is no such option. I cant blame the 2 people working at the counter for this incident as they both have been more than helpful always. my bad experience, which made me decide never to go back to this location was thanks to the person who handles passports. i needed to get my childrens passport renewed. i had an appointment at 3:50 for one child and 4pm for the other child , i walked in with my kids at 3:40pm. heard somebody behind the counter talk to the other USPS employee if anybody had a passport appointment to which the passport lady replied,"nope they canceled" UMM HELLO! im right here. i ask her for the forms that needed to be filled, i had everything else. thats when all hell breaks loose! the lady gets annoyed and says with a very condescending smile, "we cant do your passports today you are supposed to come prepared. you were told on the phone." NOPE! nobody told me on the phone and i even mentioned that i would be coming in and filling the forms there. i asked the passport lady how long does it take for the forms to be filled, she replies "20 minutes!" i quickly glance at the forms and say "i can do this in 5 minutes each!" the forms literally had no crazy questions on it, just simple, address, name etc! basically the argument went for good 20 minutes during which i repeatedly said that the time shes wasting telling me to reschedule and argue and not giving me a good enough reason as to why i cant fill the forms there, i couldve filled 5 of those forms. my husband left work early for this appointment because these passports were for our kids and both parents are required to be there. he politely asked her if there was any way she can let us do the passports. to which she replied, "no im sorry, ive told your wife repeatedly that you have to reschedule or just get a letter notarized stating that you give your wife the permission to apply for the passport renewal." my husband asked her too as to why we cant fill the forms there, she had NO valid reason, just simply "you cant!" she said we would hold up the "line". the "line" had no one! there were two people at the window working. she was the 3rd one there who was incharge of doing passports. the entire time we were there, there wasnt once, even 2 people in the "line". they were completely free and while she continued trying to turn us away, 3 customers walked in and left and all 3 of them came in at separate times and each left before the other walked in so at no point was there a "line"! we left disgusted. i came home around 4:30 and started to search on google to see if i could go elsewhere because its hard enough for my husband to get a day off and thats when i found Mercer County Connection. i called and they said they were closing at 5pm. By now the time was 4:40 and its a 15 minutes drive from our house but we took our chances and went any way. we walked in at 4:57pm, the people at Mercer County Connection were SO helpful! they not only did NOT turn us away because i didnt have "filled forms", they also made copies for me free of charge, took ample time to process my kids passport renewal and we were out of there in exactly 11 minutes 52 seconds. the reason i am stating the exact time is because thats how long it took for us from walking into Mercer County Connection, to filling the forms, to getting copies made, to getting everything done and signed and walking out. the people there didnt even rush us even then thats all the time it took! to this day i have no clue as to why did the USPS passport lady, tell us that i simply couldnt fill the forms because it would take 20 minutes each and i was "too late" when i had walked in 10 minutes before my appointment, there was no "line" and the USPS wasnt going to close for another hour fifteen minutes!!!!

The mailman is too lazy to deliver even the junk mails on Saturday along with my package. The status of my package says "Notice Left (No Secure Location Available)". My house is a single family and USPS just told me its not a secure location to receive packages now. The fact that there is no notice and no junk mails means he/she didnt even bother to show up. Received neighbors mails and package again. They live a few streets away. Just because the street number is the same doesnt mean they live here. I can definitely live without USPS. To be fair, the staff there are nice. But the postal service is horrible. 1. Hold mail service never works for me .If you are on vacation, dont count on hold mail service. Well dont even waste your time filling up the form. Cause they will show up anyway. I always ask my friend to pick up mails while Im away. 2. You are volunteered to deliver mails for them. I got my neighbors mails constantly. I even got neighbors package. And one of my neighbors has totally different street name ! Amazingly I never missed any junk mails.

This is a terrible Post Office location. There is always a long line because they never put more than one person out front, even when there are several people in the back. The manager is useless and will just come out periodically to offer help with their automated machine. The previous poster is right, you will hear the people in the back laughing and fooling around. One of the last times I went there I was in a long line, as per usual, and we were all listening to a woman in the back go on an on about her vacation. Also, this location does not deliver the mail to residents. Those operations were moved to the US Post Office located on Alexander Road in Carnegie Center. So if you, like me, have trouble with lost mail and packages, you need to contact that location. The North Post Road location will accept mail and sell you supplies, thats it. And you will suffer in a long line for that. AVOID!!!!

This place is tthheeeeeeeee worst when it comes to your packages being delivered. They say they attempt to deliver and never even come to your door. Why do I have to track down and try to find my package when it should be delivered accordingly. This has happened on several occasions. I strongly dislike this post office. The government or whoever needs to step in and hire new people that actually want to do their jobs.

So sorry that I did not heed the warning of the previous review. On a Tuesday, at 10:15 AM with a line of nearly 25 people, one person available to assist while other postal employees just laughed behind the screens in the mail room. A person who claimed to be a supervisor, stuck her head out, said Oh my, look at this line, then vanished. What a joke this place is. Cant wait for the net postal increase!

Without a doubt one of the worst post offices in the state of NJ. Its poorly staffed regardless of how many people are on line. Many have complained about the long wait but nothing ever changes. So be forewarned. You are likely to see 10 people on line and only one person at the desk --- even as other postal employees look on.
