wanted them to change oil and charge air conditioning. they reported that the first couple of drain threads were strip and a longer bolt would be needed. they do not carry that after market bolt. thay gave me a price for the air conditioning package. i told them that was to much and just charge the air conditioning system. they said they didnt do that. i told them just to change the oil. when i went to pay the bill, they gave me a list of minor repairs that would be needed. i paid the bill and went to start the car. the check engine light was on. it wasnt on when i drop the car off. was it just a coincidence. told service mgr that the check engine light was on. he went to ask the service tech, who reported that the service light was on. that was not reported to me in the list of repairs. should have been the first thing reported to me. then the service mgr said not to worry about it, they would check it out. dont worry about it, if i had to take that car to inspection it would have failed. need less to say im taking my car to another service station. ncampo864 is correct, when i call chris to express my concerns, nothing was done.

Be wary of Certified Preowned. Bought Certified xc60 and noticed car was pulling when we test drove it. We were told it was ok and could bring it back if still an issue. We live in south Jersey and have since have 3 flat tires. All tires replaces were already plugged at least once. Uneven tread ware on original tires. We have had to purchase 2 new tires since purchase and have been given the run around on service. Since we are over an hrs ride away to bring in to get service we have yet to do so It was services at a local Volvo dealer stating the tires tread were bad. Local tire store also stated these tires should not have been certified. In short displeased with certified preowned, Tires should of not been certified with the tread wear and plugs. You will be out of pocket to get new tires if you are in the same situation. Volvo should reimburse for new tires that were iffy to begin with.

I have to say this is the best place to buy a car and to have it serviced. i have 2 Volvos that i got through Peter (an S60 and C70) - what a great NON-salesman. no pressure, knew the facts, no reason to haggle on pricing, and let my wife test-drive the car for a whole day. even when we didnt buy our last car from them (the XC90 was a bit smaller than what we wanted), Pete understood and wished us luck and said he is there for us when th 90 is bigger or if we change our minds. The service team is also great : Andy, Mike, the whole crew...always have a loaner for me, always let me know if they find other problems and offer options for repair or non-repair. they even advised me to save my money one time and just add coolant to a slowly leaking radiator instead of replacing it (expensive). fair pricing for repairs too. overall, an AAA experience with this entire Volvo team.

Barbara Pospisil, salesperson, was the best Ive ever dealt with over a 40 yr period. She demonstrated that she valued my business, way above my Acura dealership where Ive 2 vehicles every 3 years for a decade. Barbara was highly responsive to questions and managed the communication on the negotiations with her & dealer management very effectively. Her post-sale service has also been exception, spending quality time to help me understand the S90s technology. I also give high marks to the Sales Manager, who supported Barbara both on pricing and servicing. Ive been singing Red Bank Volvos praises to all my neighbors. This is a far different experience than I had at Princeton Volvo (over 3 months).

Drove 2 hours in a rental to pick up a car upon them opening. It was filthy and had the alignment significantly off. They wouldnt budge on the price. We were told they would look at it and fix the issue. After waintg around for 3 hours they never looked at it and said to come back tomorrow. Well I called the next day and they still never looked at it nor made any attempt to give me a time it could be looked at. All and all the sale manager is not commited to making sales and they had no respect for my time. They only got a 2 star vs a 1 star because Barbara our sales rep did a good job getting financing.

I am about to purchase a new Volvo XC 90 , my salesman is Duane Washington, This will the second car he sold me. It is a total pleasure doing business with him. He is fully knowledgeable, will make the deal directly with you, without needing a third party, and makes the dreaded part of buying a new car a totally pleasurable experience. The service department holds up its part of the bargain. They treat their customer with a personalized service and a great deal of competence. It is no wonder why Redbank Volvo is older than most of its customers. Not me however.

Red Bank Volvo kept my old Volvo on the road for 10 years, and takes care of my new one (bought it there) like its their own. I have used their service dept dozens of times, and can say that they are the only car dealer I really trust to honest about the work. I recently brought my S60 in that wouldnt start, turned out there was just corrosion on the engine connectors. They cleaned it up, only charged me for the time. Very refreshing in this day and age.If you have a Volvo (or want one), this is the place to go. Bruno L., Wayside NJ

This dealership has consistently charged far more than other dealers for service. $2800 bill when Westport CT quoted $1000 for same list. Twice now. I would seek out other Volvo dealers. Last big bill $2300 (was desperate re location), I had issues immediately following and visited NYC dealer for emergency service. Something that should have been caught by these guys. They are "nice" and amiable but I would not trust them. This last round was obvious and sleazy.

I had a great experience with Red Bank Volvo. They were very professional and honest. They offered a fare price on a used car I bought from their dealership. We agreed upon a price over the phone and they stood true to their word once I arrived to look at the car. Additionally they came down on the price after additional negotiating on a great car. I highly recommend this dealership if you are interested in a used car or a new Volvo on their lot.
