I just moved to Rockaway and have been searching for a new stylist. I have tried a couple, but was getting frustrated because I couldnt find one who would really take care of my hair (I guess Im pretty picky). I had a cut/color appointment with Celia, and Im hooked. While I live in the area, Celia will be my stylist. When I walked in the place I almost turned around and left. It has a pretty cheap feel, but I ended up with a great "do", so dont let your first impression make up your mind. Celia took time to talk to me about my hair. She really looked at me, and at my hair before she got started. She obviously knew what she was talking about. My color was exactly what I wanted. She even told me how I should change my makeup to make the color really work for me. Not only did the cut look great when I walked out the door, it still looks great. I feel like the mark of a really good cut is one that grows out well. I got the cut almost a month ago and Im still very pleased. Its shaped great, and very manageable. It does exactly what I want it to do every morning, and I couldnt be happier. AND it was reasonably priced. $93 for a cut/color. Thank you Celia!

Most horrible experience with Jackie. My first time going there and I will never go back. I dont know if she was having a bad day or what, but I was there for five hrs and she barely said a sentence to me. She didnt ask many questions on what I came in for, brushed out my hair really really hard multiple times. Had the hair dryer on high heat, and the water was always too hot. I left with a super bad headache and a sensitive scalp. She was trying to do my hair way too fast and sloppy. I could tell she was in a hurry because she asked three different people to help her. I came in for an ombre, $230 later I left with the most horrible orange, red, copper and bleach blonde highlights starting half way down my hair. I was so embarrassed to go to work I had to call in and go to a different place to get a color correction done. That cost me another $200. If you dont know how to do an ombre, maybe you should get someone who does cuz money doesnt grow on trees for you to experience on people. You need to find a different job carreer because you obviously dont care about peoples hair

Upon searching for a classy hair salon I found many other reviews about this place offering praise. I noticed that the costs were that of a real professional and not cheap talents. When I got there I was amazed by how beautiful the salon was. All of the girls there are like family and could not be nicer! This is so important in the service industry. They work together and do fantastic work. I wanted to be pampered and given the rock star treatment, and thats what I got. The difficult creative color job was done to perfection. I was colored by Tatiana, who is top shelf in my opinion. Her interpretation to execution is spot on. All of the girls at the salon are very talented and have been there for a decent amount of time. If you have money to spend and are looking for the real deal this is the place to go. A+ for cleanliness, friendliness, and awesomness. I am now a client for good.

I recently moved to the area and decided to buy a Groupon to try this salon. I had my appointment tonight with Brittany and she was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and I was taken right away, no wait. I was unsure of what I even wanted but Brittany asked me a few basic questions and she gave me an awesome cut! I usually show a picture but decided to just wing it and its one of the best cuts I have gotten. I cant wait to go back.

Went to this salon for the first time ever and had a great experience. The ladies there know their stuff very knowledgeable and even worked with me on suggestions for color since this was my first time dying my hair. Thank you to my stylist Michelle you did an amazing job love my new look your color suggestions were on point. I will definitely be coming back soon!!

I have been coming to Salon Deja Vu for about 6 years now, and I will never go anywhere else as long as I can help it! I was told to see Tatiana when I first started going, and Ive been going to her ever since. She does an absolutely perfect job on my hair (which is long and curly). Plus, shes incredibly sweet :) I highly recommend both her and the salon in general!

Andrea is an incredibly talented hair stylist. Ive been with her about 8 years now and I followed her to Deja Vu and, frankly, would probably follow her no matter where she goes. This salon is friendly and relaxed and I enjoy going there. The receptionist is so personable and welcoming. But it is Andrea who keeps me coming back. She is just terrific.

I bought a groupon for the salon and I think I finally found my salon! I had Kayla and she was amazing and did everything I asked for (even though I didnt really know what I wanted). I have very dark hair and got a subtle ombré that looks amazing. She spend 2.5 hours with me and gave me many options of choose from to make sure she did my hair perfectly.

I recently moved to rockaway and was with the same hairstylist for ten years..I took a chance by trying this salon and I AM THRILLED with the results...Everyone is extreme welcoming and I had my hair colored and cut by the owner and she is a true artist! I will continue going to moulin rouge ! Believe me you wont be sorry ..best haircut of my life !

I was hesitant to change hair stylists -- I have short and very thin hair, so it can very easily be screwed up. I was told to see Celia, and I wasnt positive even while sitting in the chair, honestly. But, I love my cut. She did a great job and I will definitely be going back.
