Unfortunately, the salon did not live up to my expectations. It was my first time getting box braids and I asked the owner when she could give me an appt. she said she would call someone to come into to work and do my hair at 4pm. So here I am at my appointment and I show the owner pictures of what I want. She asks me the length of the braids and I said To the breast. The girl that she called to come work at the shop starts my hair and after about 3 hours, another woman who had been working all day helps her. I kept asking intermittently why the braids were so thin and the boxes because I wanted them bigger. This was by touch because they wouldnt let me look in the mirror. They would stand in the way and each time I tried I would be asked if there was a problem with an attitude. She even snickered in her language to the 1st lady that I couldnt even wait etc. (I understood bc its broken English) The whole time they did my hair the 2nd lady complained how she wanted to go home, her back hurt at least 10 times. The 1st lady kept asking how much the braids go for (this is how i found out she doesnt even work there) and when the 2nd lady responded, she would say how all that the work (braiding) isnt worth it for that price and bla bla bla. The point is I didnt pay $110 to sit there and hear them complain. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Last but not least, the braids; they refused to braid it to the breast, they would only braid to abovd my shoulder and dipped the very long unbraided ends in hot water despite me having shown the owner what I wanted. I guess she didnt explain that well to women. I left the shop around 9:30pm. I went home with an excruciating headache( too many braids and small boxes especially around the front). The next morning I asked the owner if they could redo the front to have less braids bc it wasnt what I asked for( I wanted bigger boxes which I said several times while they were braiding but I couldnt see bc of the mirror problem)and was painful. After I called 2x she said she would call me to come and never did. There went $120 down the drain bc needless to say, I took those braids out within 24hrs. oh and the place is dirty, Cleaning is free and paint isnt expensive (walls super dirty)!

I made an appointment to get Kinky Twist, the stylist was prompt & friendly. She was also gentle on the head. She didnt try to pull my edges out. The style was very cute and lasted as expected. I would definitely visit this shop again and recommend my family and friends.

The owner was really nice and fast. This is the first time that I got crochet braids and my head did not hurt afterward. I would highly recommend this shop.
