If I could give no stars I would. The experience that I had was hands down unacceptable! Being African American & a business owner I am saddened but understanding as to why people find it hard to support black businesses. I called the to have my daughters locs removed. The stylist Brie quoted $30 once explained that her locs were in for a year & 1/2. She then quoted $80 once I asked for it to be washed, deep conditioned & blown out. I made the appointment 5 days in advance & she still did not have the products needed to remove the locs properly. Without it being a problem I offered to purchase the products needed. It took her 2 days to remove them & according to my daughter she took a break after each loc removed. On the second day when dropping her off I asked her was it more than she expected. She said "not at all, this is what I was expecting". I also asked was she loosing a lot of hair. She said "no, the hair on the floor is only the dead hair. Once I wash it condition it, blow it out & trim it its going to look really nice, she doesnt even need a perm". Being that I did not ask for a trim I obviously was going to include that generosity into her tip. When I picked my daughter up as the picture shows below, there was nothing nice about her hair. It was still very wet I could have done it myself, have done a better job (pictures below) & not have forked over the extra $50 quoted to have her do it. When I contacted her (screenshots below), she basically says she was trying to help out which is why she quoted such a low price. This woman does not know me from Adam, I did not give her a sob story about a financial struggle, so I dont understand why she would not quote accurately. However, that is not my problem. If she low bald herself, how is it that you decide that you are not going to do the job that you were paid to do?! I was ready to hand her a $40 tip had her hair looked half way decent. Even if she would have done the same job I had! But no, Brie decided that the main job of taking out the locs was all that needed to be done. I will NEVER go back there & suggest no one to EVER go there!
