I had dreads in my hair up until Monday afternoon for 2 years. I took them out and washed my hair about 5 times. Tuesday morning my hair literally looked like a rats nest. Seriously, my cats were playing in it. I googled Dominican and Brazillian services in this area. After I found out it was chemicals involved with the Brazillian. I looked for only dominican shops. I am mixed. So when my hair is in its natural state it looks like most Spanish women hair looks. Just giving a little back ground because they did an excellent job. I chilled out for about 20 minutes. Then they called me back to get my hair washed. It was so tangled. She washed, combed/ detangled, washed some more and more. Then combed again and conditioned. She parted my hair in to small sections. She used a extra large roound brush and a blow dryer. I am so happy with the way my hair looks that I want the world to know. Her name is Bi Bi. She is good. Actually all the ladies in there are very good and patient. If I find out how to upload the picture I will. But my google pic can show the excellent job they did. Free deep condition on Tuesdays and Wednesday. I dont know if they do perms but I have eczema in my scalp so I do not get perms or relaxers. I love it there. I am going every 2 weeks. Sorry to keep going on but I am used to a ponytail.

I will NEVER be visiting this salon EVER again. I am currently transitioning my hair from relaxed to natural & they do not know how to deal with natural hair! I started with one lady who washed my hair, after washing she went to detangle & HARDLY detangled my hair. She simply just combed the outside layer of my hair up & sent me to her chair. After unsuccessfully trying to detangle my hair she passed me off to another lady with red curly hair to do it. This lady then proceeds to detangle my hair with one of those skinny black FINE TOOTH COMBS! If you know anything about detangling NATURAL hair, you know you do not detangle with that type of comb! I became Extremely furious & EMBARRASSED as more & more of my hair broke off from her horrible detangling technique. She even had the nerve to tell me I needed to get a relaxer! Will never be returning here again!

The only salon I go to. I have natural mixed hair and they do an amazing job. Perfect wash and set, Im pretty sure their hands are magic. I had someone new yesterday she had beautiful curly red hair and she has given me the best wash and set since Ive gone natural. My hair looks straighter and shinier than when I had a relaxer and she finished with a trim. She went through each section searching thoroughly for dead ends. The prices here are great, the staff is funny and welcoming. The owner is always there working beside her staff. If you dont know Spanish dont worry they are never talking badly about you. And if there is a large wait dont worry they will get to you faster than youd ever think. Ive been going here for 5 years through my transition to natural hair and everything.

Okay... I went to this shop to get a wash,trim, and a blow dry.(which I usually straighten my hair every year for a length check since Im natural and have been for the last 3/4 yrs.) I brought my own Shampoo and conditioner because I always hear stories of them putting different products in it to use on people with natural hair. THE LADY WASHED MY HAIR AND SAT ME AT A BOOTH WHERE SHE DETANGLE MY HAIR RIPPING IT FROM MY SCALP.. AFTER THAT SHE ADDED TWO DIFFERENT PRODUCTS TO MY DAMP TOWEL DRY.. (not my personal products) I ASKED HER WHAT AND WHY ARE YOU PUTTING THIS IN NY HAIR, she replied that it was LEAVE IN CONDITIONER AND HEAT PROTECTANT. ONCE MY HAIR WAS COMPLETE I NOTICED ALOT OF SHEDDING.. I decided to wash it and BAM

This is the Best Dominican hair salon i have been to so far the price is fantastic compared to any other place i go because i dont get my hair done often i dont want to have to spend a whole heck of a lot of money but for a wash, roller set, blow dry, and my ends clipped is only $35 u cant beat that anywhere else ...they are all nice and all have plenty of customers on a daily basis there hasnt been a single day that i go there and the place isnt busy i usually go to nicole she does a good job although she doesnt speak much english she gets the job done well...... Overall this place is awesome and i will continue to go here for as long as they are open

I love Lusvianca. Im 17 and Ive been coming here since I was about 10. Between them and the services I get in New York, I dont trust anyone else to do my hair. I only get my hair done with Lusvianca, the owners daughter, and she is just amazing. She always leaves my hair so silky and flawless. My sister has more coarse hair and she gets done with Sorida, shes very patient with children and very good with that specific hair type. My sister gets relaxers and she always does such a good job. I feel like Ive said too much already, but you get the idea. These women are very good at what they do. Go here, you wont be disappointed.

They use alot of heat on your hair which causes alot of damage to natrual hair. I took my daughter to get her hair done and asked for a trim, deep conditioner, and blow out. They cut off at least 3-4 inches and there was alot of damage done to it from all the heat that was used (the hair was cut off to cover up the damage). Her hair had a burnt smell after we left the shop and even after thoroughly washing her hair after a few days, her hairstill smelled burnt. I had to go to another salon which specializes in natrual hair care (at least 2-3 visits) to bring her hair back from the dead. We will not be going back. EVER!

I have been going to Luchys since 2009! Here it is 2012 and Im still faithful :) Sorida aka Sori is my stylist. One of the gentlest people there for natural hair. Luchy needs to expand :) It gets busy there quick. Plus they offer FREE deep conditioning on Tuesday & Wednesday.

Ive gone here for years. My natural hair has never been effected by anything theyve done to it. I moved away and still will wait till Im in town to get my do done. I never have to wait long. And they are friendly enough... Im hoping I can get in there aoon!

The salon is beautiful and the people are very friendly. My only issue is that they can move a little slow and can be more talkative with their customers so that their customers can feel a little more welcome.

I love my hair, I cant remember the ladys name who did it but she did an excellent job! Its now 20 days later and it still looks freshly done, and I havent put a flat iron to it since she did on October 4th!

I Love this hair salon!!! I have natural hair and I go to a certain stylist (she does a wonderful job) she makes my hair look like I have a relaxer in it...I would recommend anybody to go there
