Went there for my Husbands, Company 10th year anniversary party. The place was beautiful outside and walking in looked Gorgeous! The day was around Christmas.. The Xmas tree was huge, dressed really nice and festive.. Then entering the hall it looked lovely.. lighting was comfy and the space was just right. We all had a GREAT TIME! This hall out of the others the co. picked was by far the Best, as for the caterers.. To me was professional.., BUT shezzz they sure dont hesitate kicking people out! yikes! they started clearing things & cleaning up like the boss went BANK BROKE hahahahah! that was a funny sight.. BUT overall WAS A PERFECT PICK. We had a photo booth, the center pieces looked elegant, there was Endless options to pick from of cakes to cold horderves.. we had wine, LQ, then it was time to eat dinner.. the food was yummy, the roast beef was made, Just Right. id Love to have my wedding party here then the manor in orange nj, although there they have the Gorgeous garden, Anyhow I heard the price to rent this place was OUTSTANDINGLY PRICEY! but like I said the set up is nice. I mean the pictures show you on the site. ENJOY

I had my wedding on June 13, 2015 here. I dealt with Michelle for booking my room for my wedding. There was a miscommunication and I was given the wrong room, I didnt find that out until 3 weeks before my wedding. I almost had a meltdown. Michelle was very professional and called the other party and had my room change to the correct one at 2 weeks before the wedding. They were very helpful with helping me meet my budget. I had the grand wedding package and it was more than I ever expected. The food was amazing and I have been getting compliments since then. I was at first a little annoyed because I was required to have 2 maitre ds at the wedding since I had such a large party. But It was the best decision ever. Our maitre d were great and helped the day go so smoothly. My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we keep talking about how perfect it was. I couldnt have imagined it any better. Louis was wonderful, as well I dealt with him on the days when Michelle was off and he helped a lot. I loved It.

Pretty much what youd expect from an experienced catering hall at a wedding and reception. There were a dozen tastefully appointed round tables of 8-10 guests each. The spacing was nearly adequate for the guests on hand. There were times when getting from our table to the bar and exit required skillful navigation. Food was standard fare for a commercially catered wedding.It had an Italian theme (salad, pasta, rice, chix parm, mini meatballs, roasted petite potatoes, soda, cake, ice cream and coffee). Drinks were generous. Staff was efficient, professional and unobtrusive (pleasantly there but, not there). The dance floor was good sized. Rest rooms are clean and conveniently located on the main level. You see them but you dont smell them. Self- parking was safe, convenient and there was plenty of space, despite having multiple events going on simultaneously. Cant speak for everyone, but I found it to be a positive catering experience. Hello, The review posted are very disturbing comments detailing false statements. Someone is obviously trying to sabotoge the restaurants reputation. I am a valued paying customer who takes there time to eat lunch at this location atleast 3-4 times a week. As in my time going this place I havent heard or seen such accusations. Im speaking on my behalf of my experiences eating there. The food is great & service is good. People really need to get a life and find better ways to say there business is hurting cause of GH Caterers if thats the case. These are my honest thoughts according to the horrible statements. Im sure if any of the comments were true the board of health would of already stepped in. Thank you RJT

I have a baptism and a baby shower to attend two weeks in a row at this venue. I have many many food allergies with some being quite severe and I usually call ahead of time for events for a separate meal since the party hosts pay per person anyways. They were not accommodating at all and told me I was better off bringing my own food. Ive had no issues in the past year (diagnosed last year) with having separate meals at past weddings, parties and showers. This is a first. Most people now a days need special diets for allergies, conditions, etc. This is truly unacceptable. In short if you need any accommodations in meals dont bother calling because they are unwilling.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! SO NASTY!!! Ive gone to this place since i was in HS and since i havent been there since then and i was visiting my boyfriend for lunch in the area i suggested this place we went into the dining area and it started off fine sides came out fine business as usual UNTIL we were served our meals while prepping to eat my club sandwich i saw not only 1 BUT 3 COCKROACHES we walked out and went straight to the board of health!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! SO NASTY!!! FOOD SERVED WITH A SIDE OF COCKROACHES THEY WILL NOT GET MY BUSINESS EVER AGAIN!

Galloping Hill Hot Dogs I presume is what we are writing about here (used to be Petersens). The food is very good for what it is... just dont get fooled by the advertisements on buy one get one free in the Newspapers... the paper comes out on Thursday... you go there on that same Thursday with the coupon and they tell you that was last week? Sound Business Advice: If the paper makes a mistake with your ad... you honor the add and make the paper pay for it! Still love the dogs there!

The details of the this place is very poor. The cleanliness is horrible, as soon as you walk in its dirty, the carpet are not vacuum, the floor to the hall was dirty from the night before, a lot of dirt under the tables, the urinals to the bathroom were dirty. Service is beyond horrible nobody knows anything. This is just tragic DONT BOOK YOUR NEXT EVENT HERE. I rate it Zero. Imagine the kitchen NO WAY I WAS NOT TASTING ANYTHING HERE

We had our 50th Class Reunion here from Union High School on Oct. 10th. It was just beautiful. The banquet hall is just beautiful. The cocktail hour was great and the food was hot and delicious. The wait staff was excellent. They came around with the Hors doeuvres several times. I would highly recommend the Galloping Hill Caterers for any social event, wedding, etc. Great Job!

I had my wedding there on 05/21 Let me tell you me and my guests had a very bad experience the cocktail hour had no food cold and not cooked at all..... the bar had nothing and the where butting house vodka in gray goose bottles and when we found out they got really nasty and they shut down my wedding one hour earlier never going there again even as a guest in another wedding

I had my daughters Birthday Party not too long ago. The place was gorgeous, the food was great, but there was a problem with the Air Conditioner. It was too hot that some of the guest spent more time outside trying to find air than inside the room. All I got was an apology for the inconvenience, but nothing was done to fix the problem nor at least compensate it in anyway.
