My mother passed away 5 days before Christmas. She passed rather quickly so since she and my stepfather were not from this area, my recommendation was to use Kevins services..he knew my husbands family and we used them for both my mother in law and father in law. As we sat in the office, we were told that, due to past bad experiences with families, we would have to come up with at least half of the total charges. There was no question whatsoever that her insurance policy had more than enough to cover the expenses.. we sat there not quite sure as to why the normal way of handling expenses was not good enough for our family. His reasons of past families "skipping out" on their obligations to him seemed, at least to me, to be inadequate. I was quite frankly insulted by this whole matter. But since I wasnt sure that this wasnt the policy of other local funeral homes, we all hurriedly tried to come up with almost $4,000 immediately. Not bad enough we are devastated by our mothers passing the day before, now we had to worry about whether or not we had the readily available cash to provide her with a service and burial. Just to satisfy our curiosities, my sister and I called 3 other funeral homes in the area and NOT ONE required ANY DEPOSIT. They send the form to the insurance company and they get their money. To be honest, I was extremely upset, hurt, embarrassed (for my family) that I had highly recommended Kevins service and we had been insulted like this. My sister and I agreed to let the service progress without approaching anyone. But now that she is resting in peace I would like them to know that we were highly insulted and mistreated. This has left an emotional scar with me and never again will I make the same mistake.

WB Funeral Home has handled any funerals held for my family for many, many years. The most recent being my father a couple of weeks ago. You could not ask for a kinder, more caring home to handle such a difficult time. Kevin Bernhardt is so very nice, and walks you through everything that needs to be done. His father is also a very nice, kind man. I wouldnt chose any other funeral home to handle my loved ones passing
