My daughter went to this day care for approx. 1.5 years. Within first 2/3 months she had multiple cold infections which we understand. Subsequently, in past 1 year she has had 4 Coxsackie virus (Foot & mouth disease) infections. She would get them almost every 2/3 months at regular interval. She had last year in November end, then in March of this year and now again in July. She had other kids sick in her class all the time. I asked Daycare Manager about other kids being sick and all the time she told me "No parents have come and told us anything". When I asked her about the attendance of other kids, she never fully disclosed any the details. My daughter being 3.5 years old, often told us at home that somebody was sick and had fever and that is how we found out. On inquiring sanitation and cleaning procedures, I was told that cleaning people comes at the end of every day but I do not think any proper cleaning is being done. When I pick her up in the evening, class-room has often food and other smell coming. I never saw any anti-viral cleaning agents or chemicals being used in the class. A mere fact that a child getting four times cox-sackie viral infection is just beyond I can imagine. This is a serious virus. Fever start with 99-100 on Day 1 and goes upto 102-103 on Day 2 & Day 3. They get ulcers on the tongue and inside the mouth and may daughter did not eat anything for 3 days. We just gave her popcicles and juice and then on Day 5 onwards she started eating little bit. Every time she got infection, she was sick for 7 days and me and my wife were very tired taking care of her and managing work etc. Teachers are mostly young girls who take care of kids. They are nice but they can not do anything. There is fundamental issue of cleanliness standard at this place. Also, this daycare is very big and playground/gym are common areas which are shared by different class-rooms and hence chances of infection being spread quickly is very high. This daycare has camera which allows you to watch your kids activity. I would not recommend this day-care to any parent as I would not expect any child to go through the pain of foot & mouth disease, 4 times in one year.

I have had my children at this Rainbow Academy location since they were infants. While I will admit some issues in the past (nothing major - just a couple teachers who rubbed me the wrong way), we love this school. My kids LOVE going to school and they are learning so much. They are way ahead of their friends in starting to read and knowing their letters and numbers and everything. There are teachers there who have become like family, they have done so much above and beyond for our kids. The new director there has been great and the additional stuff that the school does (holiday events, special parties, extracurricular stuff like ballet and gymnastics, etc) is great as well. That plus a convenient location, good hours and days open (a lot of coworkers have a lot more days their daycares are closed) makes us happy.

We had just moved to the United States with a 4 year old girl who spoke no English and had never been to a daycare center before as she was taken care of by her grandparents. The teachers at Rainbow Academy were brilliant as was the Director in responding to her needs and helping her cope with this massive change. I was impressed at the way she took to them almost instantly, and within a month she had adjusted really well there. She loves her teacher Ms. Kirstine, and she has a really good network of friends at her class. To top it all - she is learning both culturally - with the diverse activities they line up everyday, extra classes for ballet, soccer, etc. and academically - all this while having a lot of fun! I couldnt be happier with a daycare...thank you Ms. Nancy!

I had 2 children at this daycare. Though I initially had a pleasant experience, I soon realized there are major issues. Teachers were good with my kids but the center is unorganized. Rooms were out of ratio many times, the class trips are too long of a bus ride for 4 year olds and there are not enough teachers attending. There were times at drop off and pick up, no one was in the front office and that became a safety issue. When these issues are brought up to management and even corporate, you are pushed aside. This is supposely a family run business and I honestly feel they only care about money rather than the well being of our children.

Our daughter has been going there 3 years and we love it! Outside of some small issues here and there, our experience overall has been great. All the teachers we have been in contact with have been wonderful, our daughter has learned so much as well as made many friends. And she loves all of the extra activities they offer. We have recommended it to friends and would do it again.
