I took my car in to get a diagnostic assessment on Saturday and as a female who went alone, I felt a little nervous. Ive been to mechanic shops over the past 10 years and I have to say that this was by far one of the best encounters I have had so far. The office space was clean, well ventilated and the male workers were all pleasant and respectful. The work atmosphere among the workers was very cordial. The manager, Mr. Danny Lopez was very professional and was able to examine my car within 15 minutes. That was especially beneficial to me since I have a young child. There was never any pressure to get any work done that they had suggested. Mr. Lopez recommended that I think it over and give him a call and let him know if I wanted to proceed with the work the mechanics had recommended I needed. I decided to proceed with the work. Im going to need some work done on my transmission along with a new radiator. The job is about $800 bucks. I have never been to this AAMCO, nor have I had any done with them prior to this experience. I am here because my brother in law referred me and because they received good reviews online-which is what I am doing now. Im going to follow up on another post after the job is done. I hope that their work and follow-through will be as good as the initial consult. To be continued.....

I live out of state and had taken my fairly new car to a local Chevrolet dealer in that area of the Bronx for routine maintenance. They performed the service on three or four occasions and I dont have any complaints with those visits. However, I had an "engine light" sign on my car and I again brought it to the same dealer because my car was well within the warranty period. After a review as to why the "engine light" came on, they proceeded to charge a "returning customer" a labor fee for information that should have been given as a courtesy. In essence I paid a "labor fee" of $125.00 for the advice of "replace your locked gas cap with the original gas cap" and that will resolve your issue. In addition, they came up with "other needed maintenance" required on a car that is only driven on the weekend with less than 25,000 miles. After that awful experience, I called up this Aamco location and was given great information on my car and told to bring my car to them because it didnt sound like I needed what they were suggesting. To say I would recommend them highly, would be an understatement! Not only was my car taken care of for my oil change, but I signed up for the "car care club" which ensures that it will be taken care of in the future! I am a very satisfied customer..........

Please Avoid this buisness . Service on my 2009 Chevy Tahoe for the transmission was done here. First day I got the truck back the transmission was getting stuck in 1st gear. I brought it back to the shop and they were in denial that the transmission itself was at fault. Ive been dealing with them in court. Ive gotten numerous parking tickets while my truck was in their possession and also my truck had damage to the driver side fender. AMS transmission got the decision in their favor because I had a warranty that paid for the job and I only paid $100 deductible. So....... Anthony (shop owner) get s to keep over 3,400 for a job he did not do right?? I also brought a mechanic to court that verified the transmission was indeed faulty. The judge was very biased to him Im guessing because the judge and Anthony are white and Im Hispanic(owner only brought the service invoice while I brought proof and a mechanic). I ended up selling my truck very cheap and I warn everyone please save yourself the headaches with this shop go to another buisness that really specializes in transmissions not one that falsely advertises it. Thank you hope this saves others.

I had such a positive experience with this Aamco, I had to share it with the world. I am a single woman with car problems and a constant paranoia of getting ripped off. I called ahead to explain my cars issue, ready for a fight. Anthony, the manager, was patient and kind. I told him I kept hearing a terrifying grinding sound. My boss told me that this was, "my transmission going." (Where would it go?) Anthony told me to bring the car in to be checked out. I drove my humble Honda Civic over, thinking maybe this would be the last time Id ever see it again. I sat in their waiting room for approximately 30 minutes, like an anxious father waiting for his newborn. After 1/2 an hour, they advise that it was not, in fact, my transmission going anywhere. It was a faulty axel! Thats all. I left and came back two hours later and my car was ready to be driven home. It cost less than $300 which was 1/10th of what I was worried about spending on a transmission. The real test: My car drives perfectly a month later! Ah-mazing!

I had been DREADING taking my car in for service but it was getting to that point where it was almost scary to keep driving it. But I had been burned way too many times. I Googled and Yelped a place near my home to bring my car and Aamco looked like the place for me. So I call and Im expecting... I dont even know what. But, I spoke to a gentleman named Anthony who told me to come right, which I did. Turns out, this spot also helps to get the customers financing. So I was able to get financing to cover this service. Remarkable. Im an educated woman. Im not trying to be spoken to like anything less. I couldnt even believe how polite and comprehensive the employees were. He took me from the waiting room and I actually went out into the garage part to see my car. I was very impressed with the respect I was shown, not just as a lady but as a customer. I would recommend this place to any woman with car trouble.

OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! Anthony and Jesus make a great team. I brought my 2004 GMC Envoy to be serviced and they went above and beyond for me. They checked my car and informed me of all the things that was wrong with my car and immediately told me the price to fix it. After I left they had my car feeling like it was brand new. Anthony and Jesus were definitely professional and very nice. I dont like spending money but the customer service i received was so good it felt like money well spent. My car is running better than ever and I will never go to anyone else for any car related issues. They have a customer for life. I recommend this site if you want great service at a reasonable price. Thank you Anthony and Jesus for making it feel like we knew each other for years it is deeply appreciated.

I had a problem with my transmission a couple of years back. They couldnt find a problem with it. Ok, no problem. I understand transmissions are difficult to find whats wrong with them. They did find a problem with my axle. Which I was grateful for and they repaired it. The problem is when I went to pick up my truck, my ENG & VSC & TRAC lights were now on. But they was not on when I drop my truck off. I never had a problem with the lights before. I mentioned that to them and they turned on me. I immediately showed them the light upon pickup my truck. They didnt care and wasnt able to fix the problem. I had to go to another shop to get it repaired. Very unprofessional. I will not be using there services again. Oh yea, my transmission went on me shortly after seeing them. You do the math.
