Top-Notch VW/Audi Service! My 98 VW runs better than new, thanks to John and his friendly but experienced crew. With other shops, I usually have to school them on proper products to use, how to perform services, tools, etc. Not at Lopez: they know how to do things right, and are fairly priced and trustworthy. Due to the size and logistics of the facility, it is often a little "ballet" of moving cars around. But they do it, and the quality and customer satisfaction is GREAT. I come up from Brooklyn - nobody there is as good, if you can believe that. Also, for complicated jobs, like VW Transmission service, I recommend AUTOBAHN CENTRE in Albany. Yes, my VW is worth driving to Albany for important service.

Ive been bringing my car to these guys for about four years now and they are the best. While driving to Ithaca last year my car completely shut down and I called Mike to ask him about fair prices for the work that the body shop in Ithaca said I needed. He gave me quotes and I was able to save $300 on what the man at that shop initially tried to charge me because i was an "out-of-town young girl". he had another thing coming when he found out I was 30 and had an amazing mechanic. I LOVE their work and am sticking with Lopez VW Repair!

These are probably the only honest, friendly mechanics in the city that happen to be VW enthusiasts and gurus. Save money and stress and bring your VeeDub to them. Dont be afraid of the small shop, theyre popular and busy. They saved me and my GTI a few times. This garage used to be named Volkswagen City Mororsports. Jonathan had to change the name to Lopez VW Repair due to trademark issues with VoA.

These guys were great. Our 96 Jetta broke down on the highway on our way out of town and we limped over to their shop on a Saturday. They replaced our entire clutch and charged us several hundred dollars less than the other quotes we got AND did it within a few hours so we were able to get back on the road that day. They were polite and knew their stuff. Highly recommended.

Not only did Lopez VW beat the dealership pricing by more than 50% for a repair job for an issue I was having with my Xenon headlights but they were also super friendly and even have a car service to take you home if your in the surrounding area. I will highly recommend this shop to anyone wanting quality, fast, and friendly personable service. Thank you for all your help!

These guys are awesome. Ive only taken my VW to them to be worked on, because they offer the best prices and high quality work. I never feel like Im being ripped off when I go here, and they genuinely show care for their customers and their cars. They are Volkswagen guys, not just general mechanics. They really know their stuff. I highly recommend them.

Very hard to find a reliable, trustworthy auto repair shop. These guys know what theyre doing, have really reasonable prices, and are genuinely nice to boot! A great find especially if you have a VW or Audi... they really helped me out with my A4 at a fraction of the cost of the stealership!
