The shops seems well equipped, and the mechanics are knowledgeable about car repair. If that is the only standard that you hold a mechanic to then by all means go there. Over the years I have found the staff to be of poor character; at best they have overcharged me compared to other local shops and at worst they have(quite regularly) tried to scam me on parts. For example I once brought my car for an inspection and they failed me because i needed to change 4 tires, 2 sets of rear brakes and the hydraulics for the breaks needed to be replaced because they where leaking. All in all they quoted me over a thousand dollars in repairs and refused to show me where the brake line was leaking. The next day i drove out to my family mechanic and he couldnt find any reason for replacing any part of the braking system. He ended up telling me that one tire needs to be replaced soon but it still has enough thread to pass inspection. This shop also refuses to discuss quotes on vehicle repair unless you let them diagnose the car, which costs 65 dollars. Even if you are certain about what the issue is they will simply tell you they cant trust your assessment. These mechanics do not have peoples best interest at heart and it shows in almost all the interactions Ive had with them.

Horrible service this shop was going to charge me and my husband 580 dollars for an altenator. The mechanic said we needed a new altenator. We took the car to 2 different mechanics both said the altenator was fine. In fact we took the the car to Repair on wheels at 833 McDonald ave in Brooklyn. The mechanic there laughed because we brought them an altenator to put on. He said it is your accelerator needs to be clean 95 dollars and your done. Now are car is running and thank God this place was closed because me and my husband would have been screwed out of a lot of money by these mechanics who dont know what the hell they are talking about. These people are scams, liars, and will rip you off. You want an honest mechanic go to repair on wheels best ever. I am so infuriated that I am filing with bbb and rip off report. Charged us 100 for doing nothing stop supporting these scam artist

The greatest service around. I was introduced to this shop by a college friend and take not only my car there but my familys. The guys are great... always friendly. They go the extra mile and dont try to dig into your pockets. They let you know exactly whats going on with your ride and the TRUE severity/importance and time you may have for any issues they may see. If you are a regular you become aware of your upcoming fixes sometimes almost a year in advance so there are no surprises. They work thoroughly and also have respect for your time (you are in and out as fast as possible while getting the job done right). Even if I was to move 100 miles away I would honestly still keep them for my major work and thats no exaggeration.

This place has awful customer service! I waited over an hour, only for them to try and con me into extra service charges, and unnecessary purchases. According to them i needed all new tires and i had a washer fluid leak under my car, which somehow they determined on a rainy day. Guess it was because im a girl and i went alone, and they felt they could take advantage of my car knowledge. Instead on the next day i took my car to another Auto center and they assured me that there was no leak, and my tires still had plenty life on them. To anyone that gets work done here please be sure to not get swindled into unnecessary charges.

I am new to the Rockaway area and Drive Safe was recommended by my neighbor. Awesome customer service and speedy as well! Just came in for an oil change and air in my tires and the guys were so helpful and kind. Its so nice to finally meet a trusting and honest mechanic!
