Ms. Regina and Mr. Yan, the owners of Royal Day Care must have their license revoked and be closed down immediately. They are in violation of many of the New York City Child Care Codes including putting infants in the same room as older children, having one uncertified individual with 12 or more children. Child care workers send children into the bathrooms without supervision, yell at children, grab them and pull on their body parts, they leave the classroom when children are inside, children are fed hamburger rolls with globs of jelly, plain pasta, bread with cream cheese, and other food not approved by NYS. (the children don’t eat adequate meals, they get less than a bite size of fruit) Often the owners do not provide the children with any liquids to drink at mealtimes (water), the same diaper is left on a child all day, infants are not put into cribs at naptime, there are many hard wooden objects in the toddler room that toddlers throw randomly across the room at other children continuously, and heavy toys that can fall onto toddlers and infants. Child care workers often deny the 3 and 4 year olds access to the bathroom during a 2 and half hour nap time. Many children wet themselves. Day care workers have told their colleagues not to give the children water at meal time because the children will want to go to the bathroom during nap time. (Children are denied water in excess of 5 hours in a row and only approx. 4 ounces is provided, even when the child asks for more) The owners have no protective covering outside where the children should be playing. Many infants and toddlers have fallen on their faces and cut their mouths and other body parts. The children go outside a couple of times a month. Usually, at the end of the day for dismissal. All children from infants to 4 yr. olds are together on the cement pavement without adequate supervision, (unless 2 individuals sitting on a bench talking to each other is acceptable. Sometimes, more than 20 children). More than 25 days in a row the children were never allowed outside. If there is an outdoor schedule the director and owners are disregarding it. Children are forced to sit on chairs and not move around freely or engage in any gross motor skills because the play units have been off limits and the day care workers dont want the children to fall on the cement. However, there is one play unit children climb, it is over 72 inches off the ground, it is often unsupervised, and it is on the cement pavement. You can see the individuals who work at Royal Day Care do not respect the children and the parents who attend the day care. In some of the rooms electrical sockets are not grounded, dont have a face cover, and they are not covered with child proof protectors. An electrical hazard. The day care is often short on necessary supplies. There are many more violations and mistreatment of employees that are not represented here. DEAR PARENTS: WHEN A DAY CARE DOESN’T HAVE AN OPEN DOOR POLICY. DON’T PUT YOUR CHILD IN IT. Note for future teachers and child care workers, Ms. Regina and Mr. Yan stop payments on employee checks, leaving Certified Teachers with more than 130 hours unpaid. If you havent been paid sue them in Brooklyn Small Claims Court and Subpoena the people who worked there while you were employed. It is easier than you think. Ms. Regina and Mr. Yan must be investigated by the N.Y.S. Child Care Council and Child Care Protective Services. They demonstrate a blatant disregard for all children in their care, the N.Y.S. Child Care regulations, employees, and the parents who put their trust in them.

Parents let’s be realistic, Can a Day care by itself have the hands mouth and foot disease? Of course not! This only means that someone must have walked in their first with it. Parent most of you know that anytime your child is crying too much, have a fever, throwing up or even pooping to much we call you and let you know. With that being said do you actually think as much as we care about your children that we would knowingly allow any child in the daycare with something as contagious as the hands mouth and foot disease? Please keep in mind that the majority of us are parent too and this is nothing that we would want to bring home to our families. The teachers sanitize everything in their room daily. If a parent bring their child to the daycare and the child develops a fever (which can by the way be the beginning stage of the Hand, Mouth and Foot disease), and we call you to come pick up your child to take them to the doctor and you find out that your child has this contagious disease you should keep your child home. If you bring your child to the daycare and do not inform us of this, it would not matter how clean we are, we would not be able to protect the other children in our care. Parents do you honestly feel this is a fair choice? Ms. Regina did not ignore this situation. In fairness to all of you she sent a VAST EMAIL to all parents encouraging that if your child show symptoms of this disease such as fever and rash etc... To take your child to the doctor. Parents its your job to let us know if you child has anything that can cause another child to get sick. Parent please do your own due diligence about this hands mouth and foot disease so that you would know what certain precautions you should take to protect not only your families but everyone else families as well. This really has brought a lot of sadness to all of us knowing that these few children were affected. One thing for sure is that Ms. Regina and Yan care a great deal about all of your children and they provide a safe and healthy environment every day for you children. Every day they do something to put a big smile on your children faces. They really do love your children. I know this because I sit front desk and work hand and hand with them every day. People in their wildest dream could not imagine all the things they provide to make sure that your children are safe. A lot of you may view Mrs. Fuller as being too tough and yes she is but in a very loving way. At the beginning and end of each and every day this toughness keep your children safe and believe me she adores each and every one of your children. I will like all of you to know that we all love and adore your children, but parent we need for all of you to help us maintain a safe and healthy environment. PARENTS please keep in mind it takes A WHOLE VILLAGE TO RAISE ONE CHILD.

Im a parent highly disappointed with the negative reviews. My son was one of the first children to frequent this establishment. I guarantee you that he was there prior to 99% of the employees. Royal Day Care has went through many changes. Changes that I must say were not for the worse but the better. When there were initially 3-5 children in the whole daycare with only the first floor being used, you were able to pick up your child from the classroom or the play yard. But with growth comes change. No I am NOT able to go to my childs room upstairs to get him. Someone brings him to me. Am I disappointed... NO. My childs safety is of the utmost importance to me. That rule is set in place for the safety of my child and all of the other children in Royal Day Care. The malcontent former employee said that there is no open door policy. FALSE! Do know that there is an open door policy with your childs teacher and the owners. You are provided a report daily on your child from: the number of meals he ate to how his demeanor was for the day. Anytime I had a question and I came to pick up my child and needed to speak with his teacher, Ms. Camille, shes was available. My son loves her. She is doing a wonderful job with my him. When working with my son at home and I notice something that my son needs to correct, I am able to talk to her about it and we work together to make improvement. And vice versa. If Mrs. Regina and Mr. Yan see me, theres always pleasantries. They can even tell me conversations that my son has had with them. Even how much milk he likes to drink. I have been asked by them and initiated on my own conversations about what positive changes can be made within the daycare. And please know that my requests/suggestions were not merely heard but listened to as those changes were made. (ie. Parent/Teacher conferences in which you were allowed in your childs classroom to see their daily environment and the milestones your child was reaching.) The other staff members always greet you in a respectful and professional manner. Ms. Earline who welcomes you in the afternoon is always ready to assist you with all your needs. If any terminations were made, they were probably for the best as Regina and Yan take pride in Royal Day Care (children and parents) and are always trying to make positive adjustments. As a parent of a child that attends Royal Day care, I ask that you do not let the negative reviews hinder you from allowing your child to benefit from the day care. My son is my everything. If those allegations were true then I would have removed him immediately. But because they are LIES... he continues to benefit from the service that they provide him.
