A clerk at this post office blatantly refused to mail my packages because I hadnt listed my name above the return addresses, which is not a USPS regulation. "If the sender’s name is not included in the return address, another clear designation (apartment, suite, or room number) is required to ensure proper handling of ancillary services and/or return of the piece." USPS Mailing Standard 102.1.5.2. I had clearly designated my apartment number in the return address on the packages, but they were still refused, and I was forced to walk to the Cadman Plaza location to mail them. The Customer Service department sided with the employee, saying that "the clerk did give [me] the correct information by asking for a return name and address on [my] package. This is required on ALL packages/mail received at the counter. This is for security reason [sic]." However, not all packages require a return address, and as I previously mentioned, a sender has the option (but is not required) to include her name above the return address. Dont make the bold assumption that you can mail packages here just because its a post office, and dont waste your time trying to reason with the employees here or their customer service representatives. Better yet, walk to Cadman Plaza and use the Automated Postal Center to avoid disgruntled postal employees altogether.

Really flawed system of security. Im an art student in a nearby college so I always carried around an xacto knife or box cutter for my art classes. I went to this building to mail something and the first time I came in, I had no problem entering and mailed out a package, only to realize later on that Ive mailed out the wrong item. I went back to see if I can get the package and a refund only to have a second security guard stop me because they saw the box cutter I have through the scanner after scanning it a 2nd time. Another security guard said to leave my box cutter OUTSIDE and come back in. I asked her what if someone stole it and she shrugged. It makes no sense to leave a BOX CUTTER outside where anyone can walk by and take it and use it for nefarious purposes, but they cant have a collection box that can hold the items for the short, and taking an ID card hostage or something, while it takes 10-15 mins for me to finish my business within the first floor of the building?

I made a phone call asking for requirements on where stamps, sending address and return address suppose to be. I simple wanted to know where I can or can not put these things on post cards and envelope by asking customer service and the lady gave a hard time. My words was fumbling in sentence and she got mad at me with a tone where she did not want to talk anymore. I already had google the templates on google before the call and the reason I call is to make sure the template on google was true and not false because I am designing a postcards and envelope. The lady had a smart remark saying "oh my gosh" and hung up like I gave her a hard time. All i did was ask a simple question. I felt like she did not work with me and gave me bad customer service. I really wish I remember her name so I can tell you guys.

THIS IS A POST OFFICE as well as numerous government offices. Post office with several windows in lobby. Note that being a govt building you have to go through metal detectors first. "Salems" comments are completely wrong as in addition there actually being a post office, this is not "just for fight tickets" as there are numerous govt departments such as the Department of Buildings. Never thought I would say this about a govt office, but DOB was hugely helpful. They have a free program called "homeowners nights" on Tuesdays from 4-5:30pm where you can go ask any building questions. I only had to wait 10mns to see someone and they were very helpful about some code questions I had with my building.

TERRIBLE. One of the worst repetitive forms of customer service I have ever experienced. The woman behind booth 7(?) is incredibly mean, impatient, and intolerable. The entire staff is extremely short tempered—and while I can form an understanding around this—it is no excuse for outward facing customer service. Everything about the place is disheveled, unorganized, and unprofessional. USPS at a Corporate level would never put up with these standards, so why is it tolerable locally? Poor service, poor experience, repetitive and futile.

I wish i had read the reviews prior to coming here. Line was long and slow. The clerk was abrupt and her tone implied she would rather be anywhere but at work. This was the worst experience at a post office i have ever experienced. Bottom line...find another post office because you will just walk away shaking your head if you come here.

I have not seen so much incompetence of service staff anywhere. They insisted that Im trying to use a UPS prepaid label to ship through USPS even though I explained over and over again that its the label that was sent to me using and Im trying to return by purchasing a new label. The staff here do not even deserve minimum wage.

This is literally the worst place on earth. The lines are long, the people at the counters barely speak English, theyre rude and the local USPS workers have never successfully delivered one package to my home, even while I was just sitting there waiting.

The people in this post office cannot even read a zip code. They do not deserve to have a job, they deserve to be fired and forever banned from working. I will be delighted to see the USPS go bankrupt, I have never seen a worse post office in my life.

Worst post office. DO NOT DROP MAIL HERE! It will take them 3 days to have it sent to the post office down the block at Cadmen Plaza. Worst excuses for employees. They should all be fired and forced to have real jobs where theyre graded on merit.

Sent a change of address request 3 weeks in advance. Both old and new address were in the same zip code and post office. It was not processed. The phone is always busy. So my mail is still being delivered to the old address.

The line just doesnt move. There is one person working at the counter working during busy lunch break at 1 p.m. with about thirty people in line. They have five available teller windows here, only one is being utilized.

This isnt a post office. The post office on Camdan plaza east. IDK how people gave it 4 & 5 stars. This place is for fighting traffic tickets or to paying TRAFFIC tickets only.

They were nice to me, but they had no idea what to do with an absentee ballot. That was surprising to me, since they are in charge of routing those to the correct location.

I am crying real tears as I read these reviews. I dropped my package in a mail box at this office two days ago and it still has not been scanned saying its on its way.

Horrible place, rude people and they are not willing to help in anyway. They act like you are inconveniencing them. Avoid this post office.

Theres no pre-paid drop off box or window...just be warned, you WILL have to wait in line. A long line.
